Silent Night

Rate this book
They say a good book can change your life. For Halle Michaels, it might just end it.

When an old, tattered book shows up on Halle’s doorstep containing undeciphered messages, it brings with it a surge of mysterious incidents, sinister voices, and a code only she understands. A code that could lead to the secrets her father left behind and enemies she never knew existed.

Now, forced to confront a past filled with mysteries and deceptions, Halle realizes the book not only holds the key to uncovering these secrets, but has the power to destroy everything.

Bridgette O'Hare

Bridgette O’Hare is a writerly life form existing on high doses of chocolate, excessive episodes of Supernatural, and copious amounts of snark. She spends her time in search of sleep, witty co-conspirators, and ways to unleash chaos upon her characters in fun and interesting ways. When she’s not torturing imaginary people, you can find her instigating questionable conversations on Facebook. She is the ridiculously proud co-creator of two awesome male human beings with ambitions of being a crazy cat lady if her pursuit of marrying the love of her life proves futile (spoiler alert...she's allergic to cats and "the one" is probably gonna propose soon).

Bridgette is recommended by 4 out of 5 people that recommend things. Number 5 was unavailable for comment.

I honestly didn't think this series could get any better. I really enjoyed the first book, but Silent Night rocked my world. Once I started it, I couldn't stop myself and I zipped right through it without coming up for air. Bridgette O'Hare has totally sucked me into her world of Angels and Demons. I am now going to go crazy waiting for the third book because she left me with so many questions. I need to know what happens to Halle. Will Aedan stand by her side and contunue to protect her against the forces of evil that threaten her. Ahh, I need to have book 3!

Here are a couple of my favorite quotes from Silent Night.

"When he spoke again, his voice spilled out like sweet poison, deadly but captivating at the same time."

"Sometimes an ending is what you need to create a new beginning."

Very interesting

Halle and Ayden have a roller coaster time between her school, friends, boy trouble, parties and those he reports to. She can see him in the dream world and when he becomes real...she is shocked. This story is very interesting. Who is this girl that she requires do many bodyguards and who was her father? Where is the mysterious book and who is hell after her?

If you want to know, read the book.

Read on my friends.

I don't think I could even pick one thing from this story that I liked the most. The authors writing style meshes with my reading style, quick and fast paced. She's on a roll now with this second in the series so the characters flowed really well. I just really, really like this story and am looking forward to another.

I started book two expecting to read a few chapters with my morning coffee and could not put it down. I finished it by lunch and have thought about it all day since. I really enjoyed the first book, but the second was even better. I was so sad to go back to the real world when I finished. I can not wait to get my hands on the third book in this wonderful series.

Ok it doesn’t usually happen when I come across a sequel that I liked more than the first book. This book had me right from the beginning. Who would ever suspect a book? I adore aedan! Halle is my hero. She is more special than anyone knows and she won’t let anyone deter her from her destiny. I can’t wait to see what book 3 has in store.

Every bit as good as the first book

Halle and Aedan continue to grow as characters as they dance around their feelings for each other. And this all happens in the midst of dodging danger from all sides. Nobody is quite who they seem and trust is hard to come by. Absolutely loving this series!! I want more of Aedan and Halle......much more

Soooo good

I loved, loved, loved, this book. Such a lack of sleep page turner. Everything starting to make more sense at what Halle is, and what she has and still has to overcome. Can't wait to read the 3rd book

Loved it!

This was a great book. There’s a few answers but still enough questions left to hold my interest. I’m eager for more.

I was given Book of Dreams Book ONE Lullaby and Book TWO Silent night for an honest review

BOOK TWO
4*

Jumped straight into this book after finishing the first and i really enjoyed it much more than book one. i loved the growing relationships and feelings in book two Aeden struggling to understand what Halle is and how he feels about her. Book two is way better written than book one which i struggled to read, this one i couldn't put down.
Book two begins with Halle waking up after a dream about her dad and not feeling alone in the room and we know it was Aedan but obviously Halle doesn't know it.
as the story goes along we are left wondering what is halle ? who or what is jenna? how much does lana know ? uncle toby ? and yeah brandt must be a hellion no way is he mr nice guy, and when will halle and aedan fall in love or will they keep a strictly professional relationship. book ends on a cliff hangar which is unfortunate but still really enjoyed this book.

What I Thought:

As the second book in the series, I felt this one picked up perfectly where the last left off. We are still amidst a budding friendship and trying to sort out where exactly this book fits in and why it is wreaking havoc on Halle's life.

If you thought the adventure took your for a whirlwind, in the first book, be prepared for even more this time round! As the two main characters start to get closer, life starts to get even crazier, plus we have the pressure of time on our backs.

Again, O'Hare has written superbly, giving the characters life, depth, personality and the strength to get through the challenges they have been given, or die trying.

I found the plot was just as brilliant as the first book, as it kept up, but still made enough time for the details and a little romance.

Overall, this book and the series as a whole are brilliant. I have very much enjoyed reading them, and cannot wait until the next book is out!

I read book one in this series and now this one. I am not so patiently waiting for book three. Bridgette is a young up and coming author and she does such a good job of pulling you into the story of Halle and the book. Halle is in possession of a book that her Father left her. Aedan is trying to help her figure out the secrets of the book. A romance is blooming and Halle is in danger. Such suspense and character development in this book. I loved this book and believe it to be even better than the first one. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

This continuation in the Book of Dreams series by Bridgette O'Hare further explains a lot of the events that took place in the first book and makes it all come together to eliminate any remaining confusion from book one. We are also given a more in depth look at the characters and are able to develop a better understanding of the relationships between them. In this story Halle and Aedan are on a mission to find out more about this mysterious book that ended up in Halle's hands and they are racing against time and evil. This book picks up right where the first one left off and we are able to watch the relationship between Aedan and Halle develop even more.

OMGee..... This follow up book to Lullaby, had me missing sleep, and yelling that I couldn't speed read!
Aedan and Halle are still trying to figure out the "mystery book" and survive her dreams that really are seeming to take over her life.
I can't stress to you enough to start this book when you have time to sit and read on, I have felt every emotion I thought I could while reading.
Bridgette O'Hare has such a way with writing, that you feel every thing, and I LOVED IT!!!

This book will grab you from the very beginning. I enjoyed this book more than the first one. Bridgette O’Hare put her all into this book as we continue to watch Aedan and Halle grow closer. Her writing captures the reader’s attention and you will be truly fascinated to venture further into their world as they try to unlock the mystery of the book. She has breathed life into these characters that you can imagine yourself right there with them. And you will definitely look forward to the next book.

I loved this book even more than the first, I don't think I could explain why though! perhaps because you got to know more about Aedan.

I'm desperate to read the next one now to get even more answers! There's so much I need to know! Haha.

Bridgette is clearly a very talented author and I hope to read a lot more of her work! Such a fantastic imagination to come up with these amazing characters and plot!

Book 3 please! Hehe.

As soon as I finished book one I had to buy

Book two introduces us to the backgrounds of some of the more evil characters . We also learn more about the angels . And a few surprises amongst the mortals . Learning more about the books opens up the mystery and I cannot wait for book 3 to find out everything and have an ending . Be warned you will not like the Cliff you were left on.

A hit!

I enjoyed the second installment to this series more than the first. Characters are fleshed out and more background is given to the context of the story. Originally I wasn't sure if I'd want to continue the series but now I'm looking for book three! Halle is proving herself to be one resilient young lady, though she tends to take odd events in stride...this could be from hearing voices all her life, of course! Definitely an enjoyable read!!

Human but not quite. Friendships and loved ones trying to keep up with a power that no one can see. A wonderful 2nd book that still has so many questions that need to be answered.
