This is an exceedingly readable book - in fact it reads much like a thriller. The chapters are short, and the book is hard to put down.
It is the personal account of an ordinary man who finds himself regularly abducted by aliens. His case is unique in that unlike most abductees he has practically complete conscious recall of these events.
At first Sparks experiences the abductions as extremely unpleasant, and he has no idea what the aliens, or star people, want with him. One thing they want is for him to learn their alphabet, but he is a very unwilling and rebellious pupil. He tries to escape from them, but no matter where in the country he flees to, they always know where he is and come for him in the middle of the night.
He turns to drink as a way to attempt to cope with the problem.
He "donates" sperm to them and later is introduced to his hybrid daughter.
Sparks' family and friends refuse to accept his experiences, though he sees his wife Teresa is involved in them, and later his morther admits that she also is an abductee. Teresa is pregnant at one point but loses the fetus - It simply disappears (i.e. the aliens have removed it).
He's presented with a new role during the abduction experiences in that he is asked to comfort and calm other abductees so that things can take place in a more orderly manner.
Sparks' life improves somewhat when he makes contact with people from alien abduction support groups, who of course understand his plight and accept all he recounts.
The abductees are given the message that we are killing our planet and shown in strong images how we are doing this.
Sparks understands that his mission is to inform the world about these alien contacts, and about what they are trying to tell us. He has certainly done what he can to do this.
For those interested in these star people, their message and the fate of our planet, and I can't understand why everyone wouldn't be interested, I would strongly recommend that you read this absorbing book.

I would have to say that this man believes that aliens have contacted him. He doesn't seem to be crazy. He has nothing to gain in writing this but certain ridicule. In fact this appears to have been a real ordeal for the man.

There has to be something going on in regards to these 'Visitors'.
I do have an open mind and am willing to believe this does occur.
As for 'the message'? If the World Leaders do know then they are more evil than first though and either don't want to cause any panic or are withholding all information because it shows them as weak and not really in control of the situation.

Probably one of the best books available on alien abductions. Jim Sparks is unique in that he experiences conscious near-total recall unlike most abductees who require hypnotherapy to remember their experiences. Easy to read with its conversational tone and enthralling from the start.

Wow, this was quite a book. The author Jim Sparks has had abductions for numerous years. Unlike most, he remembered virtually everything. The book was really fun and interesting to read, and I enjoyed the author’s style and humor. Like many of the ET books that I have thus far read where a real connection has been made, there are the same concerns that the ETs have. Namely, we are fast killing our planet and everything on it......including us. Like, DUH, that is obvious but we are failing to adequately rectify the situation. They are also concerned about our hateful, selfish and warlike nature, and do not want us venturing into space until we change. In this book, the aliens told Sparks that the governments have known about them for a long time, and have made agreements to go public, but have broken their agreements. In exchange, technologies have been given as well as promises to help us save our planet once our ends of the agreements are kept. The ETs are now trying to educate selected humans to try to push the agenda. The aliens do not want to forcefully step in and fix things because they feel it is up to us. Whether everything in this book is true or not ( I have the tendency to believe it), the messages are right on! Anybody interested in the topic of alien visitations, I highly recommend this book.

Over the years, he came to accept this weirdness, and he ended up with a wealth of information about Earth and the cosmos. He also developed several paranormal abilities that served him for the remainder of his life. He received a message of life-or-death importance to the human race that we all need to hear and heed. There are other persons who have received the same message and who are or were trying to get the message to us. Notably Mrs. Dolores Cannon and Dr. Steven Greer. All say to stop the violence against one another, to destroy our weapons of mass destruction, and to reverse the destruction of Earth we are doing via extensive pollution. All say we are welcome to join our ET brothers and sisters in the cosmos IF ONLY WE WILL CLEAN UP OUR ACT.

Intriguing. Gives one a lot to think about, and raises questions about the reasons the ETs are here, like what do they really need us for? If taken for the core message that we need to step up our environmentalism and responsibility to the planet, we all need to step up our game if we're going to make it.

The Keepers hits all the beats of the typical abduction memoir. Sparks details his realization these experiences are happening, how it traumatized him, affected his interpersonal relations, and how he learned to cope with the "visitors."
It also has all the common tropes you see in the genre—I say tropes from a literary perspective, I don't doubt these experiences happen—including being phased through walls, the sexual assaults, different alien types, and missing time.
Of note is his entirely conscious recall of events. Sparks is not hypnotized to recover these memories like so many other abductees. This makes his revelations more curious than most. Particularly interesting is his depictions of screen images. He depicts them in a conscious way that, because of hypnosis, other abductees do not. Rather than a unconscious traumatic response to the events or a tampering of memories by the aliens, these screen images appear to happen in real time.
Sparks' interpretations of his experiences and the motivations of his abductors are also nuanced. He doesn't love them, and he doesn't hate them. He accepts they see him and us as cattle and tread us accordingly, without contempt or malice but likewise without care for our natural rights.
Whether you've read a hundred abductee memoirs, or whether you've never read a single one The Keepers is a great entry into the genre.

I have mixed opinions after reading this book. While I read, was wondering is it full of lies or imagination. Then I decided to google it up and found Jim Sparks is not the author's real name. Particularly got my attention a convincing video about him talking about interdimensional Alien beings; I mean it was more convincing than his book. I'm totally convinced Aliens can not think like us even on intended purpose, if they do, is just a trick. That alien message that we are destroying the planet is deathly unconvincing, but I'm pretty sure they have been harvesting us for some strange reason that Jim Sparks has given just a single clue.

"The Keepers" is a compelling book about the author's encounters with intelligent beings. This is arguably the most comprehensive and detailed account of the author's abduction and interaction with extraterrestrials that took place over the course of 19 years. The author states that these beings are light years ahead of us technologically, are completely telepathic, are able to distort time and travel through interdimensional barriers. Their message is that we are destroying the planet and unless we change course there is no hope for mankind. This is provocative and compelling book that I would highly recommend.

Unbelievable but true..
Great read. It was an intriguing experience
that Jim had to go through. Jim's tenacity is what made him a survivalist in this most interesting story. For those who've had any abduction I believe that this book will bring light to your dark desperation. Great job Mr Sparks.

Thourghly enjoyed it
Jim’s ability to remember his encounters is extremely rare, giving him access to information generally erased during an abduction. I look forward to his next book which he is apparently writing now.

An autobiography of a man’s lifelong experiences of being abducted by aliens. Most experiences involve him in a classroom setting, being taught the alien written language. This involves inducements of pleasure or rewards when he cooperates or increased air pressure and pain when he resists. The language is a two dimensional depiction of what are really three dimensional characters. These can be rotated to create different letters, which he says is related to different ancient human languages.
The author has a very ambivalent relationship with the entities. Their forced abductions are traumatic and disruptive to the point where his professional and family life are nearly ruined. However, as years go by, he comes across as suffering from Stockholm syndrome and views them as benevolent. This is after, not only the classes, but rape, “medical” examinations, and using his sperm to create a child that they then keep from him and kidnapping his pregnant wife’s fetus.
One unusual aspect of his story is he had full conscious recall of his experiences. He had several other one-off type of experiences such as aliens with human medical doctors and soldiers and visions of the future and having the decades of smoking reversed and being presented with a jar of the poisons the aliens took out of him.

Drawn to the subject through Dr John E Mack's work, Jim Sparks is an 'experiencer' interviewed by Mack and this book is his personal and unadulterated story of his amazing experiences, unique insofar as Sparks has very clear recollection without regression.
The simple matter-of-fact delivery of Spark's story is both endearing and compelling, keeping me so transfixed I read it in two days. It opens up another world, or maybe dimension, and offers a lay persons perspective, and perhaps a real-world experience of other dimensions theorised by physicists such as Michio Kaku, but also possibly 'the afterlife' and time itself.
I was left wanting more, and frustratingly wishing for more insight, or even his personal speculation as to potentially high-level government collaboration eluded to (yes - don't say it: conspiracy theories), but maybe this is a merit of the book that it is not a personal interpretation, and remains a record pure and simple.
What a remarkable story and maybe one day Sparks, and others like him, will be relieved of their burden and the wider public cynicism to their 'fantastic' experiences.

The relationship between Jim and ETs in this book is just hilarious. Some of the incidents in the book made me laugh. He is the only abductee I know who stood up to the ETs and the "men in black".
What makes Jim's account unique is that he retained his abduction memories in a seamless fashion; unlike most abductees who have fragmented memories of their experiences as it is purposefully erased by the ETs, or due to crossing from one dimension to another.
I was annoyed and mad at Jim for being a dick!He verbally abused the Beings and threw a tantrum...it was too much, unnecessary, and the Beings didn't deserve it.
Overall, it is refreshing to see his transformation from a sheep to a more evolved person.
As the ETs said in the book: "Congratulations Jim!"

Undeniably, the Real thing!
Although this is a long book, the pace is very active and breathtaking. i feel as if I have run a marathon , and barely had time to rest. Its most amazing that Jim has been able to keep his faculties about himself throughout this trauma, for 3 decades of his life. He has provided the public many valuable insights into the workings of the aliens minds and agendas, they are trying to accomplish with the human race. This is a very important time for the future survival of the human race. This book will help you to understand what is really going on behind the scenes!

Interesting
I know that we are not alone but as of yet we have been given no tangible proof for those who still want to argue the point against et s existence. Maybe one day soon in my lifetime we will all know without any doubt so in the meantime I read tons of books on this particular subject matter and hope when that day comes I will be mentally and emotionally ready to deal. I like how jim put forth this information it's an easy read and I found it to be quite fascinating right up there with the Andreessen affair also another good read on same subject matter

I actually rate this book at about 3.5 stars - I just couldn't give it 4 overall. As a first person narrative of alien abduction it does provide many details that you don't typically find in other accounts. However, it isn't written very well and feels disjointed as if the author wrote it over a span of many years. For those interested in the phenomena, this account is more detailed that most from a witness perspective which makes it worthwhile to get through.

simply another must read, while the jury is still out on whether the "others" are lying to us, trying to understand us, be as gods and rule over us, use us for cattle or one of the myriad of other possibilities hinted at through years of UFO conferances and books, the truth does set us free but requires affirmative action by all, search and you will find.

Oh man. I didn't believe his story, but as an avid Coast to Coast am fan he was a good interview. Jim Sparks tells his first person account of being abducted by aliens beginning in early 1988. He should have hired a ghost writer. This was rubbish.

Best book ever !!
I didn't want this book to end Jims story is so gripping and detailed I just wanted savor every word. Truly a top book among the many books on ufo phenomena. It goes a long way to explain many questions we all have. Very highly recommended.

Amazing!
Jim Sparks is amazing! So much information I didn't want to put it down. There is so much truth in what he says its just incredible. But, each person has to figure it out for themselves. Lots of details and written very well. 2 thumbs up Jim!

All this sounds true. I have read many alien books in the last 30-40 years and this is the moré concise, precise of them all.
