Having just finished Silence of Six, I had to read the prequel short of Evan's last day and moments to that hacked broadcast and public suicide that triggered the events of the book. It helps to have read the book first to know what is happening and the end it's leading to, has more dramatic impact that way. This short story adds to the main story, lets you into Evan's head without giving away spoilers or getting into the technical details of how Evan dug up his info and how he planned to expose ...more

I really liked seeing Evan’s side to the story. I read this after I read the first book but it cleared up some of the questions I had. Even though it is the prequel to the first book, I would still read after you read the first book.

Calling all book lovers! Lets begin by mentioning that this is the short prequel for the book "The Silence of Six" which you can find my review for here.

This is written from Evan's point of view and is written in a little over a 24 hour sequence. Evan goes through preparations for his big night to hack into the Presidential Debate. He must ask the world, "What is the silence of six and what are you goin

This story is a prequel to the book "The Silence of Six," but I found it to be more interesting to read after I've read the full story. While it does set up the main story found in "The Silence of Six," the focus is on Evan, and learning what his motivations are, and how he sees his place in the world. The author gave Evan a distinctly different voice from Max, the main character in "The Silence of Six," which is a credit to his writing abilities, especially considering that Evan is a character ...more

This is how a short story is done.

I'll admit. The only thing holding me back from five stars is the odd back and forth of the timeline. That was disorienting and unnecessary.

It was interesting to see what was going on in Evan's head and life before everything happened.
I wanted to know more about Evan and the situation he was in before his live stream and this did it for me.

Wow, what a great prequel! Interesting jumps through time. The first chapter of The Silence of Six was tacked on the end, and now I want to read that too!
