I received this as an arc from Marissa herself in exchange for an honest review. Distraught by the news about the man she loves, Autumn finds herself a long way from home and in control of an army of shifters. With the ability to create more, she must figure out a way to drive the military from Chicago, and win respect from the people. Wow. OMG. Wow. Absolutely fantastic read. Marissa has done it again. I loved the story and the characters. Autumn and Blake are still my favourite characters. Wow what an ending. Can't wait to see what happens next. I love this series. This is a must read and I would highly recommend this book. Definitely worth more than 5 *.
Autumn is reunited with Blake but his spine is severed and he can't walk.
Autumn takes her army of shifters and people to Chicago to help the citizens. Many in Chicago join with her group to dispel the military. She is still searching for the woman who runs the government's shifter program. Her relationship with Blake is back on as they both admit they love each other no matter what.
Another really good read. Autumn is left reeling emotionally by the news of what happened at the compound. She realises that she can't deny what she is and agrees to take on the leadership of the pro-shifter/anti-military group and to help increase their numbers. Thus the story proceeds but I won't go into the details here. I will say I am greatly enjoying this series, the twists and turns in the fortunes of the leading characters, as they develop and meet new challenges; the introduction of new people and shifters, some of whom seem to be potentially quite dangerous and others who may well be allies. There are so many elements all coming together and building tension towards an as yet unclear ending. I am really looking forward to the last 2 parts.

This is the first book I have picked up in this series and without reading the others there were places I felt a little lost. But this did not take away from my enjoyment of this story and I will probably pick up some of the previous installments to get up to speed. I loved Autumn as a character even though she seemed torn and uncertain in places in the story. I can't wait to see the next installment in the story and see how Autumn and Blake's story works out.
Having read the first 3 books in the series, then number 6 (something I don't normally do!) I felt I needed to read 4 & 5 to fill in the gaps and find out more about the characters who'd been introduced in the books I'd missed. As with all Marissa's books this one did not disappoint, the usual fast paced storyline with plenty of twists to keep those pages turning, and what an ending!!!! Just had to to immediately start on book 5!
