A sci-fi Hors d'oeuvre

There’s are very interesting ideas in this short story which are begging to be expanded on. IMHO, this needs to be a longer work. Given its length, which is very short, the story comes at us from multiple points of view, which in themselves need expansion to give the story some much needed depth. What’s here is good, but currently it reads like a dramatised synopsis. I hope the author considers writing an expanded edition some time in the future. I’ll read it.

The plot of the story was straight forward, but the descriptions really got to me. The world that the author constructed felt believable in its vaguely dystopian state. But what balanced it out was how that was not the focus---it was of the paradise the protagonist had been in and the taking of it. The parallel point of views worked well to counteract each other and improved the pacing. The only thing that I find fault with was that I wish there was more to it.
