After suffering brain trauma in a devastating accident, young lawyer Rafaele Ciprone-Hantz lies hospitalized—aware of his surroundings but unable to communicate—reliving memories of people, times and places he's never encountered. With the help of the neuroscientist assigned to his case and a woman he just met, Rafi will awaken and discover the truth behind these memories, uncovering both shocking personal secrets and a profoundly important scientific breakthrough that may forever alter humanity's relationship with its past and future.
This creative novel moves at a great pace and is very compelling from start to finish, couldn’t put it down. Lovers of historical fiction will appreciate the beautifully crafted glimpses into the past. What I loved best, though, are the characters, who are vividly written and believable. I didn't want the story to end because I want to keep spending time with them, for me the sign of an excellent novel.
It is rare to read a book written by a friend and even rarer to love it. David has spun a tale of historical fiction, combined it with a sizzling caper, thrown in a dash of romance, and finished it with some true family drama. This is a wonderful read.
Traceback was very intriguing, with the idea of time travel. Well written and I liked the characters. Just make sure you have lots of time to read because it’s difficult to put down!
