Livia byla vždycky „slečna Dokonalá“, ale po nástupu na prestižní univerzitu zjišťuje, že to s ní zase tak skvělé není. Musí zvládnout první porážky, deziluzi, přizpůsobit své plány do budoucnosti a hlavně změnit přístup sama k sobě. A do toho se jí ještě připlete láska… není divu, že v tom víru změn natropí pár chybiček. Jenže chyby jsou od toho, aby se napravovaly, a nov ...more

One Tiny Lie was nothing like I expected it to be. I think it should have been called One Giant Clusterf*ck. There were parts I genuinely LOVED, parts I HATED, but overall, the book just really stressed me out. My anxiety level was through the roof. Just think of it like this- If Ten Tiny Breaths and Thoughtless had a love child, this would be it. I was so conflicted on how to rate this one... I spent two whole days thinking about it. I thought 4, then 3, then 5... I am going with 5 Stars Why yo ...more

I love this book!!! 4.5 stars

If you loved Ten Tiny Breaths, you'll love this one too! It was different in many ways and definitely stood on it's own but it had that same spark! I just could not put it down!

I have to say this story really surprised me. It went in a really different direction than I was expecting and I just LOVED that about it! See, it was actually a bit of a forbidden romance. Here's the set up:

Livie was always mature for her age and after the tragedies her family suffered thr

This book is all about Livie Cleary, the sister of Kacey Cleary from Ten Tiny Breaths. Unlike her sister, she grew up with a different outlook in life. She's intellectual and so much in control with everything. When she went to Princeton University to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a pediatrician, her meek and virginal lifestyle changed. She was introduced to lots of college drunken parties which were new to her. The first time she was exposed to a party, she met the gorgeous col

After reading Ten Tiny Breaths I became a fan of K.A.Tucker mainly because of the message she sends to readers. I always enjoyed a book with a strong message, that raises awareness of a social problem and managed to make you reconsider about certain ideas you may had and thought they were correct.

The one important thing that reading thought me was not to judge, to look deeper into someone's personality and try to identify what makes them click and act that way. And there are a lot of books that

I've always wanted to read this when I accidentally saw a picture quote few weeks ago and I totally don't regret doing so.

It's another beautiful story between two teenagers, Livie and Ashton. Both of them experienced something that left scars deeply inside their hearts, but what I liked most is the fact that this time, it was the male character who'd been abused instead of the female. I don't know why, but there are way too many similar stories that always described the young ladies as someone e

One Tiny Lie is the story of Livie Cleary, Kacey’s little sister from Ten Tiny Breaths, which by the way is a fantastic book that I highly recommend!

Kacey’s little sister Livie is preparing to head off to college…Princeton to be exact. Kacey is concerned about her “too fucking perfect” little sister and enlists the help of Dr. Stayner to chat with Livie.

”He simply said, “So I hear you’re a ticking time bomb.”

Disclaimers: This is probably going to be more rant then review. This book sent my blood pressure skyrocketing. I was cursing at the characters, I wanted to slap a couple of people and shake the heck out of Livie more than once.

I have to start off saying I loved Ten Tiny Breaths. I mean I LOVED it. It's one of my top books of last year. One of the big reasons I loved it? Livie. She was a fantastic character. I adored everything about her, and I could not have been more thrilled for her to get h

I could not wait for Livie's story! I loved her so much inTen Tiny Breaths but unfortunatelly this book did not work for me.

This is one of the most painful reviews I have ever written. I absolutely adore K.A. Tucker's writing style an dall her previous books were 5 STARS read for me. So obviously I went to reading this book with very high expectations. However, this story contents quite intense love triangle and it truly did not sit well with me. There is no doubt that writing was superb, it was

To some degree I liked the book. At some points, I was so interested and captivated with the story that I couldn't even think about putting it down . . . and then there were other times were I felt kind of bored and

Cheater, cheater pumpkin eater! Livie, you disappoint me.

I was in the camp that liked Ten Tiny Breaths. I excused Trent's stalker behavior, and I just sat back and enjoyed the chemistry between Trent and Kasey. When I heard that Livie was getting her own book to tell her story, I was pretty excited. I expected this book to be great and went into it with high hopes. It had a beautiful cover and a lot of hype- what could go wrong?! And for the first 50% or so, I really enjoyed "One Ti

The second book in the Ten Tiny Breaths series features Kacey's younger sister, Livie Cleary. She handled the loss of their parents better than Kacey. She's resilient, coolheaded, mature and organized. Getting a glimpse of reality at the age of eleven, she took the responsibility of keeping themselves together when Kacey can't. If not for her love, care and patience, Kacey will further spiral into self-destruction.

I need to preface my rant review with this: I loved, truly loved, Ten Tiny Breaths. I genuinely enjoy this author's writing. So it pains me to give this anything other than less than 4 or 5 stars, but I simply can't give it more than 3. This books was sadly a big let down for me, but only due to the plot. The writing was still fantastic. Unfortunately, there were issues in the plot that hit every single one of my no-no buttons. Minor spoilers below, and I'll block the major spoilers. You've been

While Ten Tiny Breaths was about one person obviously spinning out of control, this book is the opposite. Livie is very much in control or so it seems. Kacey is always looking out for her sister and this time, she's enlisted the help of Dr. Stayner to help Livie actually live.

WOW...this book had all the elements I love but most especially, it had all the emotional drama. I could not put it down and literally read it in one day. I'm not really sure why I loved it so much more than Ten Tiny Breat

Short and sweet - because I am a slacker, and my ADD is acting up. I really enjoyed this one. I'm an angsty romance addict and this one left me satisfied. The writing was brilliant and it was well paced. The characters are great - honest, damaged and flawed, just like I like 'em. One Tiny Lie was an emotional NA read with a good mix of drama, steam, and humor. I definitely recommend it.

"Go forth, and make thy mistakes."

So I gave Ten Tiny Breaths pretty much the same rating but I might just like this a smidge better. So much so that the latent soap opera watcher in me may have enjoyed this a little too inappropriately that I've been sorely tempted to give it an outright 4. But where this book fell short, it fell a little too hard. So much so that I can't really find it in myself to rave and recommend it to anyone without expecting some backlash.

I received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

After the tragic death of their parents, Kacey and Livie were forced to grow up fast. In Ten Tiny Breaths, we saw Kacey struggle with the trauma of losing her parents. For years, Kacey bottled up her emotions and behaved badly, and it all came crashing down. Through Kacey’s point-of-view, it appears Livie dealt with her parents’ death extremely well, much better th
I battled with the rating on this one, mainly because the writing is very good. What made me rate this a 3.5 stars is the fact that I wasn't expecting the story to go in the direction it did for Livie's book. This story has a love triangle in it; and I am not a big fan of those kinds of story lines at all. If I am made aware of it before I start reading the book then I might prepare myself and read it anyway. In the case of "One Tiny Lie," I wasnt expecting it, and it just made me apprehensive t ...more

I was surprised to find out how much I really loved One Tiny Lie. I had started reading it with a lot of apprehension because I found out there was cheating in the story, and I HATE cheating stories. It almost always ruins the story for me. Why did I start reading when I knew this? Well, first of all I requested this title before I knew about the cheating. Second, I was assured that the story was really good in spite of the hated subject. I have to agree with that.

First off, let me say that I absolutely loved Ten Tiny Breaths and when I learnt that Livie was getting her own book, I was super excited. KA Tucker delivered some amazing, powerful writing in TTB and I thought this is sure right up my alley again.

But oh boy, I sure as hell didn’t expect that this book would rekindle all that vicious feelings I had with SC Stephens’ Thoughtless. I wanted

For my review of "One Tiny Lie" - I'm not going to do much reflection and just cut to the chase, and hopefully without too many spoilers (though honestly, some of the turns of events are not that hard to figure out if you've read enough New Adult to see what elements are glorified).

Some might say that, considering what I rated the previous novel, this was a forgone reaction to a sequel of a novel I did not like, where I should've expected to see things coming along. But I have to refute that wi

5 "Longing for Freedom" Stars for both the story and the narration!

It is no secret that I have been a long-time fan of KA Tucker. This is the sixth book of hers I have either read or listened to, and I have loved each and every one of them. Perhaps the reason that I enjoy Ms. Tucker's writing so much is that while all her stories seem to have some level of romance intermixed with mystery/intrigue, they all defy a standard mold or formula. Instead each time you sit down to enjoy one of Ms. Tucke
