Pete the Cat/Pat le Chat has been a staple in our house for a long time. Each child, despite how different, have loved Pete deeply so it was very exciting to get an audiobook ARC for this via Netgalley.

Despite reading well over a dozen Pete the Cat books, I have never told the story as well as James Fouhey does in this audiobook. 4 minutes of engaging joy. We laughed at how he made the squish of the slippers Pete tries on and he kept our littlest interested the whole time.

This was normal story for Pete The Cat, groovy! Quick and easy listening. It allows vocabulary about different types of shoes. The narrator was pretty good too! I wish the narrator made sounds like pushing/pulling and things to help make if feel like you're there. Overall, it was great!

This was such a cute book! We’re big fans of all of the Pete the Cat books and James and Kimberly Dean did a great job with this one. My 6 year old and I were having fun reading and guessing what shoes Pete would try on next! The artwork and illustrations were so fun and creative and really added to the excitement of this story for early readers!

Pete wants to play with his friends, but he can't find his shoes. He tries on every pair of shoes he can find, but nothing is quite right for him.

My kids love Pete the Cat, and this is another audiobook they are happy to listen to again and again.
