On the north Yorkshire coast of England lies a forgotten bay - Chameleon Bay, home to a rambling collection of buildings known as Phoenix Square. As the new century dawns, the Square is run by an ebullient man by the name of Whitworth. The buildings contain artists, bohemians and a large collection of dubious "literature." Enter Troy, a young man reunited with his sister Lucinda for the first time, full of hope that he has found his family - little suspecting the betrayal ahead. Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

An interesting black and white graphic novel from Slave Labor Graphics. This 200 page book takes place in Chameleon Bay on the Yorkshire coast, in an eclectic collection of buildings in Phoenix Square which is host to a large amount of eccentrics and artists. Enter Troy, a young man reunited with his sister Lucinda for the first time, full of hope that he has found his family - little suspecting the betrayal ahead. From the recently discovered diaries of Troy comes this account of magic, superstition and sinister goings on. An interesting read if you can pick the book up inexpensively.

What a fun read and as British in story/characters/setting as you'll find outside of the Kingdom!


I realized that I've become spoiled by great artists because I kept grimacing at the sloppiness of the art when it told the story just fine.

This was a fun little graphic novel. I liked the setting. I think I would have liked it better as an actual novel with mroe details. It's really more just a skeleton of a story, but it's fun.
