I read Fundamentals of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in K-12 Mainstream Classrooms by Hanizah Zainuddin, Noorchaya Yahya, Carmen Morales-Jones and Eileen Whelan-Ariza for a Cultural Awareness class for teachers. I found this book to be very practical for teachers. It included research, as well as examples. It included practical ideas for teachers to use in the classrooms. Although the book had to be returned to the professor, I am planning on purchasing my own copy, as it should be on any teacher’s bookshelf. The chapters were easy to read, with talking points and activities included with each chapter. I highly recommend this book for any teacher.
