Tell me your deepest, darkest secrets. I dare you.

Addiction comes down to one simple, primitive concept. Desire.

My name is Dr. Dixon Mathews, and I’m New York’s finest shrink. For $500 an hour, people tell me their darkest, most sinful secrets.

My own addiction? Sex.

I might be certified in solving other people’s problems, but not mine –

Wow! This book blew me away! It was a little slow to get started for me, but once it picked up, I couldn't tear myself away from it. I'm still trying to pinpoint how I feel about it. I haven't read a book that left me feeling so conflicted in quite some time. I'm dying to get my hands on the next book.

I guess I'll start out by telling you a little about Dixon. He's

I think the most important thing to start with is to say that if you read the description and give up reading this because of love triangles, let me tell you, there isn't it, and also there are no cheating. How the hell? Well, you'll have to read.

3 STARS! ★★★

This was a read that I thought had great potential but fizzled out at some point later on. I didn't exactly hate this read but I didn't love it either.

What I liked about this read was it was mainly driven by a male POV which was quite refreshing. I thought it started out great with the smartass humor that Dixon brings. He's a rather smug and cocky guy, being a psychiatrist who deals with addiction. To add onto that, apparently he's a sex addict too and has no qualms of banging his f

What I liked...

>Addicted to Sin is told entirely in Dixon's POV. And even though his inner monologue did make me cringe from time to time, I still liked it. Maybe because he's self-aware and he totally owns up to his mistakes, I dunno. But yeah, I enjoyed reading it.

>This book was also very hot. Like off the charts hot.

>The writing flowed. I was sucked in from beginning to end.

What I didn't like...

>It was quite obvious who's who and for someone who was smart, I wondered why Dixon didn'

"Who wants to be good, when it feels so good being bad?"

This is not a "love triangle" story... At least it didn't feel like one to me... It's a bit more complicating than that because we are dealing with some pretty messed-up people as MCs...

Dixon Mathews is a psychiatrist specializing in addiction. The oxymoron here is that Dixon himself "suffers" from an addiction... Yep, that's right, our sexy psychiatrist is a self-diagnosed sex addict. I mean this man will do anyth

Monica James sure kicked this series off with a bang. Or two. Or several. Yet another one of her character creations that you just can't get enough of. Characters you can't help but love, and characters that you love to hate.

Dr. Dixon Mathews is the total package. A successful psychiatrist, too gorgeous for his own good, he is also cocky, arrogant and a complete manwhore. You get the picture ! However, Ms James made me instantly love this character, with the brilliant, honest and witty way she brings his voice to life. He knows he is a mess and sees himself as a bad person without moral or ethics. After a damaging break-up, he has never dealt with his emotional scars. He helps others, but he didn’t help himse

The premise of this book grabbed me and had me insanely curious. Dixon specializes in helping people deal with their additions but behind closed doors, he revels in his own sexual addiction until two different women make him start to change his mind: Juliet and Madison. They are kind of like the angel and devil sitting on this shoulders.

This book had me fanning myself even when it had me questioning my morals. Dixon could rev my engine even when he was such a alpha-hole so much of the ti

Well, I'm going to let GIF's do the talking for me...

I WILL however tell you that if love triangles are your thing.... this is not for you, as this doesn't have one...
it also doesn't have cheating...
yet there's 2 women? I hear you ask.. Is this like that 1 book where the guy had split personalities? (intentionally not mentioning it for those who haven't read it because that as well is a kick ass book!) bu

This book definitely did not start off slow. It pulls you in right at the very beginning. When I first started I wasn't really sure how I felt about the book, but once I got to know the characters it was smooth sailing for me from there. This is told in a dual POV. You get to see through the eyes of Dr. Dixon Mathews and Madison. Dixon is a psychiatrist that specializes in addiction. He's a manwhore that dabbles with having sex with some of his female clients. By Monica James

“Addiction ~ the continued repetition of a behavior despite adverse consequences, or a neurological impairment leading to such behaviors.”

Monica James has quite the wicked brain it seems and there was me thinking that she was all sweet and innocent. Addicted to Sin…addicted to Dixon more like.

“However, who wants to be good, when it feels so good being bad?”

Dixon is one cocky, self assured arse at times but underneath all

I got to read an early copy of this book, and whoa! This book knocked me on my butt, it twisted me up in knots and consumed me until the end. Just be warned, it is not your typical romance. It's a wild ride with a naughty, naughty man.

Despite the warning in the synopsis to expect the unexpected, I'm afraid I just didn't expect the things in this book.

Now whilst the whole concept is nothing new, regardless of the warning I had high hopes for Dixon, a psychiatrist who specialised in addiction, but sadly he is what ultimately ruined this book for me. I know he claims not to be the hero, but I at least expected the man to be sexy. I did not like him one bit. Firstly it was his failure to keep his genitals in his pants. I mean he

I was completely hooked right off the bat. Dixon is a flawed character who suffers through internal conflict that affects him deeply later on. He makes mistakes. Madison is a character that is well suffered yet appeals to Dixon in a way that is very special. Juliet is also very flawed and it's hard to get a read on her until more of her connection is revealed toward the end. I am more than a little curious to find out how the story unfolds. It was very gripping and sexy as hell.

5 AMAZING stars.

Addicted to Sin is a captivating, witty, and sexy read. Monica James has written an intoxicating novel that will leave you on the edge of your seat and thirsting for more when it's all over.

One of the many things I love about Addicted to Sin is the humor. Monica is able to take some serious situations and lighten them up. Dixon's inner dialogue is addicting to read and I felt it really brought you into the mind of a man. The supporting characters are well developed and brought s

This was a great story on so many different levels! First of all, the book is mainly written from Dixon's POV (there are few chapters that are written from Madison's POV but it's just to get a small glimpse of the reason for everything that was happening). It was fantastic to be in Dixon's head. Men can definitely think totally differently than women and Dixon proves it. Actually the congratulations should g

I loved this. It has my triggers, but let me just say, my triggers were formed when NA author's decided to create doormat heroines and cheating, without a cause, heroes.

This book isn't safe. You start getting to know Dix, and no, you're not going to like him. You aren't meant to. He's truly messed up.

Then there's Julia and Madison. Now I want to give a shout out to my GR friend Vasiliki who answered a few questions before I knew I can try reading this book :)

Oh boy, where to even begin. I LOVED this book. It was so different from Monica's usual stories, and she absolutely killed it!
The story itself is unlike anything I have read before, and the characters were amazing. Not to mention the insane sex scenes that will leave you panting, sweating, and out of breath.
For me, this book was a bit of a love/hate, and i'll tell you why. I already stated how much I loved the story, but nothing that happened was what I wanted to…now
I have a hate love relationship with this book. I have a degree in psychology so I couldn't pass up a read about a sexy alpha psychiatrist.

My over all thought of the book

Which wasn't all that surprising.

You know that Robert frost poem about the fork in the road? Well Dixon has to choose between two women, and needless to say he chooses wrong.

OMG-what the hell did I just read?? I can't believe that I have just read the most amazing book by Monica James and she has ended it like that! I want to read the next book in this series NOW!! This is the book that FSOG should have been! It was edgy and engaging, written with humour and a real human interest where you actually care about the characters-all of them-good or bad!

Monica James has created another character that I couldn’t get enough of.

Dr. Dixon Mathews is a character you can’t help loving, even though you know you shouldn’t. He’s brass and can be crude at times, and makes no apologies for it. But I couldn’t help feeling there was an underlying vulnerability that he was trying to hide, even from himself. I loved Dixon, flaws and all. His relationships with the two women are vastly different and although he thinks he is only worthy of one of them, he stil

The only reason I finished this book is because it was a Netgalley ARC and I'm trying to be better at not DNFing ARCs. I was also really hoping that the storyline would open up into something I enjoyed a bit more. Unfortunately up to the final page I found the story implausible and the MC extremely unlikeable.

I knew going in that the MC (Dixon) was a shrink with a sex addiction. That part doesn't bother me. What bothered me was the people he chose to sleep with. He blindly stumbled from woman t

Received book from NetGalley for honest review.

Sigh.. I don't even know where to start. First I didn't know that it was going to be a "cliffy", I use that term loosely because honestly I don't know that I give a shit what Dixon does. He is a douche. I thought that I would learn to like him throughout the book, but nope (imagine me popping the p sound). I just can't. He fucked his clients, his dick is all that really matters and even when he KNOWS what he SHOULD do, he still can't think with the

On a scale of hot to volcanic the book virtually seethes with heat but unfortunately steam is all it generates and that evaporates easily enough away.

For all his cunning & intelligence Dixon has got to be the dullest crayon in a box of dull crayons.Obviously no rape victim courts rape but when one is forewarned that they going to be raped in the near future & they agree to the act to protect someone for something other than death itself than they have serious reasoning issues & should be locked

Gosh, I'm glad it's over!!

Usually if I can't remember what a book was about by looking at the book cover it's one of those three star books that litter my e-book shelf. Usually a book cover stays with me when I start recommending it or see fit to write a review.

This one might stay with me because of how bad it was.:-(
