Beth Davenport has no interest in getting involved with another man for the foreseeable future. To say her last relationship ended in disaster would be a colossal understatement. The only reason she agrees to put in an appearance at Serpent’s Kiss, a private kink club in downtown St. Louis, is because her best friend, Nicole, won’t quit nagging her. When she walks in the d ...more

Gateway to BDSM readers, a new series is tailor made for you! Burning for Her Kiss is a good new series from talented Ms. Hayes. For those who are looking for more femdom books with loving and dominant females, pick this one up. Drew Parker is a responsible laden fire captain who can easily score with the ladies. After several years of serial dating with fire bunnies, he's tired of it. He wants a relationship with a woman he can share the rest of his life. One would think this would be easy for ...more

It has been awhile since I read a BDSM book with a female Domme which I loved especially because right not where I live there is someone trying to ban the watching of Fifty Shades of Grey which irks me because of the pure and utter ignorance of this lifestyle. So, in light of this ignorance where BDSM is NOT a negative thing but a lifestyle or personal yearning for them. In this book we have Beth the femdom who

I enjoyed this story quite a bit. I'd never read book where the female was the Dominant in the relationship. It was different for me but I liked it okay. What I did love about this story is Drew! He is so sweet and patient. Even though he is the submissive in their sexual relationship, make no mistake there is nothing weak about Drew. Drew is hot! And he knows what he wants. I believe it takes a strong person and a lot of trust to give up their will to another person. Besides, HE'S A FIREMAN! I ...more

I want to stand up and applaud Ms. Hayes for tackling a femdom series. Not for the kink factor, but to demonstrate another facet of the BDSM Lifestyle. One that demonstrates that healthy, “normal” people can also find an inner-submissive whether they are male or female. When dominating or submitting, gender doesn’t matter, it’s the feeling and desire to do so that counts. Whether sex is involved or not.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. About a third of the way in, the story did lag a bit as Be

This book interested me because the blurb told me it was about a female domme who liked the bd and not the sm part of bdsm. The male was an alpha firefighter who figured out he wanted someone else in charge of the sexual decisions and he was definitely into bondage.

Sounds interesting (I'm always looking for different reads) and this did have its very hot moments. Unfortunately, it took half the book to get there trying to set up the story about how our domme had been left heart broken by her pre

I love Sherri Hayes writing style. It takes you deep into the inner workings of the characters and the same can be said for Burning for Her Kiss. I loved the book. While most BDSM books take the male Dominant view, I was thrilled to read more about a male submissive. Let me clarify by saying that a true male submissive is not a doormat, any more than a female submissive is. To submit to another human being is one of strongest things you can do and in this case the male sub was hot, sexy and a pe ...more

While the book is filled with images of BDSM play at the club and at home, the story is about Drew, a firefighter that longs to be a submissive to a woman willing to dominate him. He meets a beautiful woman at the club that steals his heart away. The problem is three months previously she was betrayed by her former submissive and she swears to never allow a man into her heart again. Drew displays incredible patience in

I want to start by saying I am a HUGE fan of Sherri Hayes. Her writing speaks to me whether is it Brianna and Stephan in the Finding Anna series or all her boys in the Daniel Brothers series so I had high expectations for this book. And I adored the prequel, Welcome to Serpent's Kiss, so I was very anxious to see where she took the series. Man oh man, she didn't disappoint.

Drew is a firefighter and new to the BDSM world. He has to be in control for his profession, and craves the release of submi

This is a BDSM book and I wasn’t quite sure which way the author was going to take with this story. Some are mainly about sex. Some have a story line and sex. This book has an incredible story line with some sex. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job writing the story and I was enlightened a bit.

If you read my blog or look on my FB page (or through any of my reviews) you'll see that I read quite a bit of BDSM romance. I got hooked long before the whole 50 Shades thing hit. But almost all of what I read is with a male Dominant. I've read menage with female and male Dominants dominating over one sub, but there is almost always a male Dominant. This book was a huge change for me. Beth is the Domme and Drew is the sub.

At first I wasn't sure what I'd think of this book. I, myself, am far mo

Vanessa here! I know I have to be more articulate than just saying Wow but if I could get away with it I would say just that. This book is wonderful. I admit I haven't read a lot of books with Femdom and now I wonder why. This book is well written and I think pays great respect to all of the worlds it dabbles in, small business, fire service, BDSM. The heart of this story was two people finding one another and themselves together. Drew is in charge of everything at work, always responsible and t ...more

Burning for Her Kiss was a sweet story of Beth and Drew. Beth has been hurt in the past and isn’t looking to make a new relationship. Drew is a strong handsome fireman that has set his sights on Beth. He wants to give her submission in the bedroom and his love and devotion all the time. Beth isn’t sure if she’s being played and doesn’t want to trust her feelings thinking it’s too soon to be falling for Drew.

Drew gives Beth space but is present for her slowly courting her before she even agrees

A fabulous start to a new series by Sherri Hayes. I'd not read anything involving a female Domme before reading the prequel novella Welcome to Serpent's Kiss last month, nor had I seen much around involving Femdoms elsewhere in the genre, so I think Sherri has something here which readers will find unique.

The prequel introduced us to BDSM club Serpent's Kiss and its mistress, Katrina, as she interviewed firefighter Drew Parker for club membership. In this first full novel, Drew's story continue

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.

This is the first book I have ever read with a female Dom! I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not, but I actually really enjoyed it!

We meet Drew a sub who is new to the whole seen and as soon as he sets sights on Lady Beth at the Serpents Kiss club, he knows he has to have her! The only problem is Beth has been burned before with her previous sub and has no intention of being put back in that terrible position again! Both want the same thing a re

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

This is my first Sherri Hayes book and I completely relate to her writing style.
I was drawn in and compelled to keep reading. The sex scenes were very well written and oh so hot. All of us ladies need a Drew. A manly hot fireman but yet sometimes submissive in the bedroom. Well I want one anyway.

I loved Beth because she is a Domme but she is a realistic character as well. She is a hard working independent female, but insecure in ways and protective of he

This is a very different BDSM book from what I read usually! When I knew it was a female dom book I was intrigued and interested in reading more about it! All the bdsm books I have read were quite dark but this completely changed my view. It showed BDSM lifestyle in the normal lifestyle.

I have always loved when women in books took charge and I loved Beth! She is amazing! I have a huge girl crush on her and Drew is the sweetest guy I have ever met!He was caring and really understanding person an

After reading so many books with male Dom and female subs, I have to admit i'm pleasantly surprised as to just how much I enjoyed Beth and Drew's story. What separates this story from all the rest is the fact that Drew is far from a damsel in distress that desperately needed saving. In fact he was just the opposite, almost cocky at times where Beth had to remind him of his place.
There wasn't a dull moment in this story and although reality kept pulling me away I read this one every second I had

I liked the fact that their relationship was a slow buildup. This gave the H/H the time to heal enough to be ready for a new relationship. Though there were setbacks in their relationship, it was just what you would expect due to the heroine's issues.

Though, there wasn't any cheating between the H/H, the heroine's ex was a married man. While this isn't a trigger for me. I'm not a fan of this situation.

I loved this book. I actually got upset when I had to put down my Kindle to get back to my "real life". I like the way Ms.Hayes portrayed the Dommes in this book. They were caring, yet strong women- so many books show Dommes to be hard, almost masculine, and they love to humiliate their subs.. Don't get me wrong- if that is your kink - go for it. I was just tired that ALL Dommes were portrayed like that... it is refreshing to see a strong man willing to submit sexually to a woman. The story was ...more

I enjoyed Welcome to Serpent's Kiss as a new series from Sherri Hayes. And a Femdom at that! I loved the intro in WtSK, and then the story behind the firefighter introduced in the first novella. This story will grab your heart while giving you an honest look into the BDSM lifestyle. The communication, trials and fun when entering into the lifestyle. The challenges, as well as the hot romance it becomes. I can't wait for the next one...and I sure hope it won't be a whole year! ...more

Sherri has her special way of writing.. it's not fully erotica..yet her books are sexy with lots of romance...

When Beth thinks she has lost her faith in man after a heart break with her ex... she thinks she will never be the same Mistress she once was... that's until she meet Drew ... their connection is almost instant and their chemistry will have you blushing and smiling with all the teasing he has to go thru with her..

This was a sweet read for me and what I love most about it was how the author make the connection between the two character believeable. I can feel the fear of commitment in Beth and I can feel the sincerity in Drew. Most importantly, she made me believe and feel their attraction and growing love.

BDSM stories are one of my favorite picks when it comes to reading, specially when I know the author can manage to bring relatable / realistic characters to life in a way that I enjoy.

Beth was a strong female that had one of the most important element in a D/s relationship, her trust, broken by her own submissive. During the story you see her struggling with the strong way Drew feels about her and how she is trying to go slow. Not always that goes like it should be because Drew

He joined the new BDSM club in the area and isn't really sure what he should be looking for until he meets her, Beth. From that moment he knows, she is his Dom. That's where he laid eyes on the beautiful Beth. Beth was a Domme and she was exactly what Free wanted, but Beth had vowed to not get a new sub after what happen with her last one. I haven't read many F/M books, but I do like the dynamic in these relationships. There is a different feel to it, while the main and important part of all relationships like trust, respect and love are the same. I really enjoyed reading the story of Beth and Drew,

it was wonderful to see how Drew helped Beth heal and love again and how she guided him in their D/s journey. I like the fact that they were trying to find a way to incoperate their lifestyle into their normal dayjobs and the day to da

Sherri spent most of her childhood detesting English class. It was one of her least favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author.
At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a telev
