I always look forward to a new release from Melissa Foster, but after hotties Heath (Wild Boys), and Eric (Daring her Love), plus 'undercrackers' Duke Ryder to look forward to, I didn't expect to like Hunter Lacroux as much as I did.
Let me tell you ladies, this guy is HAWT!!! He runs Grunters Ironworks with his brother Grayson (his book is coming soon) and let's just say that he's good with his hands - in more ways than one, if you get my drift! ;)
The object of his affection in Jana Garner, a friend of Skye's. These two just sizzle, and it all takes place on the Cape; P'town, Wellfleet, Brewster, Hyannis...it took me right back to my holiday there last September, and made me want to return.
Hunter had the most endearing personality and a gorgeous heart...when these guys fall, someone needs to shout "TIMMMM-BBEERRRRR"
And the bedroom scenes *fans self* talk about burn up the sheets...in fact, I think I might just have to give this book a second read! ;)

Foster always manages to write a sexy story that showcases the couple with underlying themes of family and friends and dreams being met without being repetitive and this is no exception. Well done.

Jana is the most contrary character to date that Melissa Foster has written. Guess that is part of her charm. It amazes me that Melissa Foster continues to surprise me after reading so many of her books. Hunter walks the walk. He has just the right amount of arrogance and resolve to stay one step ahead of the game. Jana may be fiesty but he is determined and that is a passionate combination. I received an ARC of Seaside Embrace in exchange for an honest review. With each novel from the Love in Bloom series I leave a little bit more of my heart behind at the end. Knowing I'll willingly do so all over again.

Melissa Foster has done it once again. Each time I choose to read a book written by Ms. Foster I am guaranteed a heartwarming story. Seaside Embrace was no different as it provided me with that and more. I have been following the Seaside series from the beginning, and the stories get better with each installment.  She elicits a myriad of emotions in this addition to what I consider to be a great series. What I love about this series is that each book can be read as a stand-alone therefore you can read them in any order you so desire. However, I should warn you the moment you begin this series you will not be able to stop at just one book.

In the previous installments, we were introduced to Hunter Lacroux and Jana Hunter. I was secretly wishing they would get their own story and now my wish has been granted. Hunter and Jana are not your typical couple. They have been indulging in casual sex with each other for some time, unbeknownst to their family and friends. Their connection was combustible and addictive. Eventually, what started out as casual became something with substance. However, because of their stubborn natures, they were determined to fight their feelings. Hunter is a womanizer who was not looking for a permanent relationship and Jana had commitment phobia.  Will these two be able to move past their pain and fear, and cease their chance at love?

I enjoyed reading about Hunter and Jana. It was easy to relate to them. I liked that they were not afraid to acknowledge their weaknesses and took steps to address them. Hunter was patient, especially when it came to Jana. He loved her and wanted to change the status of their relationship. However, he was willing to wait until Jana was able to acknowledge her feelings.  That's the power of love.

Jana is strong, but beneath that tough exterior lies a wounded soul. She has had her share of pain, hence her fear of commitment.  She had allowed her fears to control her, eventually, though she was able to move past it and reclaim her life.

The sub-plot was an eye-opener. It dealt with the problems, that couples have to deal with in their marriage.  It demonstrated that no matter how much we love someone if we don't address these problems and seek help then it's likely to lead to an end of the relationship.   It's my belief that the problems Hunter's best friend were faced with helped him to better handle his relationship with Jana.

The story, which is beautifully written, was engrossing. I was pulled in from the start and was eager to see the direction the story was going to take. Like all her stories, Seaside Embrace is a story about love, hope, struggles, and friendships.  Each of her stories is different with unique characters.  There is so much laughter, camaraderie, and tears flowing between the pages that you can't but help feel like you are a part of this group of friends. 

Fans of Melissa Foster you do not want to miss out on this one. For those who are new to her work, you need to get a copy of Seaside Embrace. You will love every moment of it! I for one am looking forward to the next book in the series.

It's a romantic story, passionate with two strong and amazing characters.
Jana is too busy to pursue her dream, she wants her professional fulfillment, has no time and desire to have a serious and stable relationship. Her ideal partner is Hunter, a playboy who doesn't want a romantic love story. The chemistry between them is really hot. It seems both pleased with this relationship until she challenges him to do something different, be romantic with a woman. This challenge will make it clear to Hunter what he really wants. Will he win the wounded heart of Jana?
Hunter has always been a playboy who enjoy relationships without commitment. But when he realizes that Jana is the only woman he wants in life, he changes completely. He is willing to wait, complies with her needs and tries to give her safety with his love. He's really a great guy, sweet, sexy, determined. Jana seems cocky and self-confident but deep inside is very fragile and terrified to open her heart, especially with a playboy like Hunter. She had terrible disappointments in the past and it is understandable her fear.
I'm happy to be back in Seaside, I love this city, I would like to live here and get to know its inhabitants, especially women. I love their friendship, the support that they always give each others and their way of welcoming new arrivals.
This is part of the Seasise Summers series but could easily be read by itself. I highly recommend the other Seaside books, once you read one you will want to read them all.
I love more and more Melissa Foster and look forward to her new release. She creates magical and cozy places to live and characters very realistic, believable and fascinating

Seaside Embrace is a fantastic new addition to the Seaside series.
 
The way this story started off, I knew the characters were in trouble, especially Jana.
Jana is a very strong, independent woman, who is insecure when it comes to her ability to commit to relationships. Jana loves to dance, box, and perform in theater. Lately, life has gotten crazy and out of control that Jana has had to cut back on the things she loves.
 
Hunter is a creative and hard working when it comes to his sculptures and a major player in his personal life. He's not used to relationships or romance.
 
Jana and Hunter are very similar with their player and non-commitment behavior. They often butt heads and get on each others nerves. Hunter finds Jana to be a challenge is willing to pursue a chance of being with Jana. Jana's insecurities about relationships and her past don't make it easy.
 
Hunter's patience and ability to communicate with Jana impressed and pleased me. I couldn't put the book down. I was too curious to see if Hunter and Jana could work it out.
 
I can't wait to see what is next for the Seaside Series. I would love to see what happens with Clark and Nina, Hunter's brother Grayson, or Jana's siblings.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to get back to the Seaside Summers crew. Those couples are awesome and sexy, and now I'm adding Hunter and Jana to that list. Jana has so much going for her: dancer, boxer, actress, and sometimes a waitress for her brother. Plus, she's the one hook up that Hunter can't get enough of. But, is that enough for Jana and Hunter to have a stable relationship?

Know that Melissa has made Hunter this sexy temptation that even Jana cannot give up. Hunter is a dirty, dirty boy and I love it! You'll know Hunter as Sky, Grayson, Pete, and Matt's brother and Brock is Jana's eldest brother. Melissa easily weaves the friends and families together in this steamy romance.

Heartwarming and romantic, Seaside Embrace is another must-read in the Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers Series. Actually, all of the books in the Love in Bloom series are must-reads and my go-to rereads. Main characters that are incredibly real and secondary characters that feel like family are what make these books unforgettable.

This was actually my second reading of Seaside Embrace. I’d just finished reading Bayside Romance which is Harper Garner, Seaside Embrace heroine Jana Garner’s older sister’s story. Jana is a secondary character in Harper’s book along with her two brothers, Brock and Colton. I remembered reading Brock, the older brother’s story in a novella last year but even after reading the synopsis I didn’t recall reading Jana and Hunter’s story. I guess since it had been a few years and there are so many books in Foster’s Love in Bloom universe, and I’ve read so many books since then, it’s somewhat excusable that I’d forgotten I’d read this book. At least I keep telling myself that. Any way it didn’t take long for me to realize that I had already read this book but while I remembered the main plot and sort of remembered the ending, I’d forgotten much of the story. So, I did something I rarely (as in never) do, I went back and read it again.
My first thought about Jana in this story was, “she’s a bit of a slut.” I mean come on, five years ago when she was twenty and trying to break up with her then boyfriend Spencer, who just wouldn’t accept that they were over, she decides the only thing she can do to end it with him is to do his best friend and let him catch them together. Who thinks that way? In her first drunken hook-up with Hunter she’s even calling out another man’s name while in the throes of the orgasms he’s giving her. Then we’re told that Jana doesn’t do relationships since that one with Spencer ended so badly and all the ones before didn’t end well either. She was only twenty freaking years old! How many relationships had she been in? So now she just hooks up for one-night stands. A lot! Before you tar and feather me for slut shaming as a male chauvinist, I also thought our hero Hunter who up until Jana was banging anything in a skirt, and only did one-night stands too, was a man-whore. Understand that I grew up in a time when premarital sex was pretty much the norm, but it was also for most of us pretty much limited to someone we were in a relationship with, even if it didn’t stand the test of time. So even though I’ve read probably hundreds of contemporary romances, I still have trouble getting my head around the whole, sex for sex sake, with people you haven’t even told people you care about concept that is prevalent in most of these stories. As it turns out Jana didn’t sleep with Spencer’s best friend but only made out with him. And neither she nor Hunter have been with anyone but each other since they met six months prior to the start of this story. Even though neither consciously realizes they’ve been monogamous over that period. Especially Jana whom we realize as the story unfolds, isn’t particularly aware of a lot of things in her life.
Hunter becomes the rare (for me) romance hero I at first at least liked more than the heroine. Once he decides he wants Jana as more than an occasional drunken hook-up, his determination and commitment is admirable. He’ll need it because Jana is quite frankly a hot mess. She’d had so many bad relationships (ending with Spencer) by the time she was twenty, with so many exes blaming her for the breakups, that she’s convinced herself she isn’t suitable girlfriend material. Add to that despite all her accomplishments as a dancer, actress, boxer etc. she has very little self-confidence. The only thing about herself she’s truly confident about is her sexuality and she often uses sex and alcohol as a coping mechanism when her life feels out of control. Get drunk, get laid, wash, repeat. The youngest of four siblings, her brothers and sister really do care about her but none of them seem aware of how deeply emotionally troubled Jana really is. At least not enough to suggest she get professional help for her self-destructive behavior. Either that or they’re so busy not wanting to be too judgmental of their little sister’s propensity for drinking too much and then hooking up with strange men on a semi-regular basis to have an intervention? Brock tries to counsel her but always backs off when she tells him to stay out of her personal life. Harper just seems to think that even though she doesn’t drink as much or have one night hook-ups, Jana is just built differently and it’s a life-style choice, not a self-destructive behavioral issue. We don’t really know what her brother Colton thinks? Even the Seaside Sisters, (still my favorite characters in all of the Love in Bloom mini-series), either aren’t aware of, or don’t see anything wrong with Jana’s behavior.
Hunter eventually pushes to be more than a “fuck buddy.” Jana, (even though deep down inside wants more) is afraid to try, tells Hunter she prefers fuck buddies who promise sunsets but deliver orgasms. Understand that even fuck buddy is a major step up in their relationship since at the start of the book, both are intent on not hooking up again because they just don’t do the same person more than once or twice to avoid clingy relationship issues. It’s just that neither is able to ignore the sexual chemistry that explodes when they get naked together. Hunter despite his previous man-whore ways, when he realizes he really cares for Jana, exhibits the patience of a saint as he gradually breaks down Jana’s walls and drags Jana almost kicking and screaming into a relationship.
With the help of the Seaside Girls who act as Jana’s older sisters helping her get her professional life in order and Hunter gradually helping her get her emotional as well as professional life in order, Jana finally finds some inner peace and at long last confidence in her own ability to be in a relationship and in what she and Hunter share to commit to him. This book is extremely sexy and romantic with plenty of laughs and good feels along the way to Jana and Hunter’s H.E.A.

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Hunter is such a sweetheart and extremely patient with Jana. He may have been a player, but once he hooked up with her, he never once wanted another woman. I loved the way he understood and accepted Jana's needs and never gave up on her. Jana has commitment issues that prevent her from fully accepting a relationship with Hunter. She knows they are great in bed, but is afraid of getting emotionally involved, but Hunter's softer side gets to her. There are some funny scenes with the girls from Seaside as well as some hot scenes between Hunter and Jana. Another great story in the Seaside series!

Neither Jana nor Hunter are cut out for a long term relationship, but they seem to continuously gravitate towards each other. As the dynamics of their relationship begins to change their friendship changes. The question is: will they be able to do this without someone's feelings getting hurt?

Am 17.05.2023 erschien der neue zeitgenössische Roman “Herzklopfen in Seaside” als sechster Teil der Seaside Summers-Serie von Melissa Foster bei World Literary Press. Ich hatte die große Freude das eBook über Lovelybooks kostenlos lesen zu dürfen.

Da ich bereits im Vorfeld einige Bücher der Autorin gelesen hatte waren meine Ansprüche entsprechend hoch, doch Melissa Foster hat mich mit dieser kurzweiligen - wenn auch ein wenig schmutzigen ;) - Sommer-Lovestory erneut überzeugen können.

**Handlung:**

Jana Garner, die neben ihrem Job als Tanzlehrerin auch in der Bar ihres Bruder kellnert und leidenschaftlich gerne Boxen geht, ist eine starke und unabhängige Frau mit der man sich lieber nicht anlegt. Und niemand schafft es besser sie bis aufs Blut zu reizen als Hunter Lacroix, der regelmäßig Frauen in Bars abschleppt.

Doch irgendwann fliegen zwischen den beiden nicht mehr nur die Worte, sondern auch die Funken und so landen Jana und Hunter immer wieder miteinander im Bett.

Jana ist fest davon überzeugt, dass sie keinen Mann in ihrem Leben braucht - und will - und hält Hunter daher auf Abstand. Doch der einstige Womanizer der sich immer mehr zu Jana hingezogen fühlt, startet eine Charmeoffensive und versucht sie davon zu überzeugen, ihm eine Chance zu geben.

**Bewertung:**

Die Story war, wie bei Melissa Foster üblich, sehr angenehm und flüssig zu lesen.

Das Jana und Hunter bereits eine leidenschaftliche Freundschaft-Plus-Beziehung haben und sich erst anschließend verlieben und dann mit ihren Gefühlen zu hadern haben, fand ich mal eine wirklich abwechslungsreiche Herangehensweise an eine Lovestory - das hat mir ausgesprochen gut gefallen.

Bezüglich der Rezensionen im Sinne von “mit Jana bin ich nicht warm geworden”, das kann ich so nicht nachvollziehen. Ich gebe zu, Jana ist hier die zurückhaltende und in Teilen Hunter gegenüber auch abweisende Person. Aber ist das nicht sonst auch in vielen Storys so, nur das es dann der Kerl ist der ewig braucht um sich selbst einzugestehen, dass er das Mädchen will und dafür über seinen Schatten springen muss?? Und ganz ehrlich: Wollen wir nicht auf von unserem Traummann mit allen Regeln der Kunst davon überzeugt werden, dass er es wert ist? :)

Abschließend sei noch gesagt: Diese Buch ist definitiv schmutziger als wir es von Melissa Foster gewohnt sind. Wer also nicht so sehr auf explizite Szenen voller leidenschaftlichem Sex steht, für den ist dieses Buch nicht das richtige.

Leidenschaft pur, eine toughe Protagonistin und ein heißer Typ mit einem Herz aus Gold - was will man mehr? Meiner Meinung nach, eine absolute Leseempfehlung!

Endlich wieder auf Cape Cod, wo uns eine unglaubliche Frauengemeinschaft erwartet, die voller Rückhalt und unglaublichen Methoden zur Seite zu stehen.
Nach Seanna, hat auch Bella und Jenna als auch Jamie, Amy, Sky ihr Glück gefunden. Diesmal ist eine gute Freundin von Sky, Jena, die ihr Leben voller Freiheit lebt und doch mit ihren vielen Jobs sich eingeengt fühlt.

Hunter und Sie sind wie Hund und Katze, doch eins haben sie gemeinsam. Seit Monaten können sie die Finger nicht voneinander lassen.

Endet alles in einem Chaos, streitsüchtigen und aufhetzenden Momenten oder siegt am Ende der Kampf um Jena, die Romantik und die aufkeimenden Emotionen?


Es beginnt eine Geschichte voller beeindruckender, hitziger Auseinandersetzungen, Zwiespalt, einer Leidenschaft, Romantik, Sehnsüchte als auch einer unglaublichen Verbindung zwischen zwei Menschen, die zusammen perfekt für einander scheinen. Jedoch auch so viele Ängste in sich verbergen.

Das Werk zieht in eine gefühlvolle und emotionsgeladene Geschichte, die vor zwei sehr erstaunlichen Persönlichkeiten, charismatisch aber auch starrsinnig in ihren Bann ziehen.

Ich habe das Buch in einem Rutsch gelesen, habe mich über die wundervollen Facetten, der unglaublichen Anziehung, leidenschaftlichen Aufeinandertreffen und entfachten Liebe zueinander, aber auch der Verletzlichkeit, den Sehnsüchten zu entzücken als auch beflügeln lassen.

Ein bittersüßes Werk, das die Autorin dem Leser bietet. Es nimmt auf eine emotionale als auch herzzerreißende Reise mit, die einnimmt und berührt.

Was natürlich am Schreibstil der Autorin lag, Melissa schafft es einen sofort zu fesseln, ihr bildlicher und emotionaler Schreibstil ist mitreißend, locker, leicht, sondern auch emotionell und einnehmend zugleich.

Die Autorin schafft eine emotionale Welt, in die man ohne das herrliche Happy End verlassen will, sodass man den emotionsgeladenen Verlauf an Jena und Hunters Geschichte teilnehmen lässt.

Als Sahnehäubchen bekommt man das gegenwärtige Glück der vorherigen Paare geboten, sowie auch natürlich die Intensität der Freundschaften der Frauen, ihre nackte Wahrheit und verrückten Scherze.

Ich bleibe daher zutiefst begeistert, entzückt und gut unterhalten, mit Sehnsucht nach mehr aus der Feder von der Autorin zurück.

Seaside Embrace (Love in Bloom Book #36) by Melissa Foster.
The Love in Bloom series proved to be a heartwarming journey through love, family, and personal growth. Spanning multiple interconnected series/stories, it offers a wonderful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth that kept me reading the whole way through.
Ms. Foster crafted fully developed, relatable, and multidimensional characters who added an extra element of emotion and interest to my overall reading experience. The heroes are fiercely loyal and endearing, while the heroines are smart, empowered, and refreshingly ‘real’. Each character feels like someone you could know in real life, making their struggles and triumphs, high and lows, all the more impactful.
The stories have a perfect balance of steamy romance mixed with heartfelt moments. But that doesn’t mean that Ms. Foster shies away from exploring deeper themes like forgiveness, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships – adding dynamic layers to the storyline/s. But, despite the emotional depth, the series still maintains more of a lighthearted charm, sprinkled with humor and tender family connections.
While each novel can be read as a standalone, there is an interconnectedness with the recurring characters and overlapping storylines - which help create a sense of community that feels warm and inviting. It’s like being welcomed into a big, loving family where everyone has a worthwhile story to tell.

Meinung:
Das ist der 6. Teil der Seaside-Reihe. Die Bücher der Autorin können problemlos unabhängig voneinander bzw. in beliebiger Reihenfolge gelesen werden, da das jeweilige Pärchen im Mittelpunkt steht und die wichtigsten Informationen genannt werden.
Der bildhafte Schreibstil liest sich locker-leicht und flüssig, die Seiten fliegen nur so dahin. Das Buch ist aus der dritten Erzähl-Perspektive von Jana und Hunter geschrieben, so dass man ihre Gedanken und Gefühle hautnah miterleben kann.
Die authentischen und sympathischen Charaktere sind mit ihren Stärken und Schwächen sowie Gefühlen sehr gut dargestellt und beschrieben worden, so dass ich nicht anders konnte, als mit ihnen mitzufühlen und mitzufiebern. Die Nebencharaktere sind gut bis sehr gut dargestellt worden, vor allem die Familienmitglieder und Freund:innen der beiden.

Die Anziehung zwischen Jana und Hunter ist vom ersten Moment an spürbar, die erotischen Szenen sind heiß und ansprechend geschrieben. Doch beide sind auch sehr dickköpfig und so kommt es zu so manchen Wortgefechten. Neben den Gefühlen kommt auch der Humor nicht zu kurz, auch dank der humorvollen Dialoge und Kabbeleien unter den Freund:innen und Geschwistern. Vom Handlungszeitraum ging es mir etwas zu schnell, aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Die bildhafte Beschreibung der Umgebung sorgt zusätzlich für Urlaubsfeeling. Die Nebencharaktere runden die Geschichte sehr schön ab und machen neugierig auf ihre Geschichten.

Wer gefühlvolle Liebesromane zum Wohlfühlen und mit Gemeinschaft von Familie und Freund:innen sucht, ist hier definitiv an der richtigen Adresse. Man beendet das Buch mit einem glücklichen Seufzen und freut sich schon sehr aufs Wiedersehen mit den liebgewonnen Charakteren. So gibt es für wunderschöne und emotionale Lesestunden wunderbare 4,5 von 5 Sternen (bei Portalen ohne halbe Sterne aufgerundet) und eine Leseempfehlung für alle die Bücher im Stil von Marie Force, Nora Roberts und Co. lieben.

Fazit:
Eine wunderschöne, gefühlvolle Liebesgeschichte und eine Gemeinschaft zum Wohlfühlen. Eine klare Leseempfehlung für Fans von Marie Force, Nora Roberts, Sarah Morgan und Co., die eine schöne Lektüre zum Wohlfühlen suchen. Ich habe die Lesestunden wieder sehr genossen und freue mich jetzt schon sehr auf das Wiedersehen mit den liebgewonnenen Charakteren.

„Herzklopfen in Seaside“ von Melissa Foster ist der sechste Band ihrer romantischen Seaside Summers Reihe, die am sonnigen Cape Cod spielt.
Jana Garner hat keine Zeit für eine feste Beziehung, denn als Tanzlehrerin Boxerin, Schauspielerin und Kellnerin hat sie rund um die Uhr zu tun. Außerdem endete ihre letzte Liebe vor Jahren derart unschön, dass sich Jana von festen Beziehungen fernhält und lieber unverbindlichen Spaß hat. In den letzten Monaten hatte dieser Spaß einen konkreten Namen, nämlich Hunter Lacroux. Hunter ist Künstler und fertigt Metallskulpturen und teilt eigentlich Janas lockere Einstellung zu festen Bindungen. Doch mit jeder weiteren gemeinsamen Nacht wächst in Hunter der Wunsch, dass Jana die Einzige für ihn sein soll und er natürlich auch für sie. Aber die bindungsscheue Jana ist gar nicht so einfach zu überzeugen.

Es geht wieder zurück ins wunderschöne Wellfleet und zu unserer Lieblings-Ferienhaussiedlung und deren sympathischen Bewohnern. Die abwechslungsreiche und unterhaltsame Serie von Melissa Foster lässt Amor wieder einmal Überstunden machen und diesmal muss er sich seinen Erfolg wirklich hart verdienen.
Jana ist eine selbstbewusste und freiheitsliebende Frau, die genau das tut, was ihr Spaß macht. Warum sollte sie das auch nicht, denn sie hat jedes Recht dazu. Ihre vielen Jobs überfordern sie jedoch in letzter Zeit und deshalb will sie ihren Sorgen nicht noch Beziehungsstress hinzufügen.
Hunter ist das männliche Äquivalent zu Jana und war bisher immer glücklich damit. Aber jedes Mal, wenn Jana nach einer gemeinsamen Nacht wortlos und heimlich verschwindet, merkt Hunter, dass er definitiv mehr möchte.
Melissa Foster hat lässt erneut zwei sehr starke Charaktere aufeinander los, die es sich mit ihrem Happy End nicht einfach machen. Es ist zum Dahinschmelzen, wie geduldig und rücksichtsvoll Hunter seine Traumfrau langsam von sich überzeugt. Für humorvolle Einschübe sorgt unsere witzige Mädelsclique, die auch als mittlerweile verheiratete Mommys ihre wilde Seite ausleben.

Mein Fazit:
Eine süße und mitreißende Lovestory, die von mir eine klare Leseempfehlung bekommt!

Once again BJ Harrison did a wonderful job sharing Melissa Foster's story with the listeners. As the narrator, BJ, does a gret job changing his voice, his tone, his cadence, and sending the characters feelings through the words. I could recognize which character was speaking just by the tone of his voice. The feelings each character was easy to pick up on and added so much to the listening of Seaside Embrace.

Oh My Gosh!!! Let me introduce you to Hunter Lacroux. Woo Wee… talk about steamy, sex, hot! He is all that and more. While he is a tough man on the outside he has the biggest, purest, sweetest (he’d hate that) heart of any of the Love in Bloom men. That says a lot because there are a lot of amazing men in this series. A few of them I have claimed as my own book crush but Hunter is the top dog(he’d love that).

Seaside Embrace starts a little different than the rest of this series as that the characters are already in a hot steamy relationship, well not a relationship that they would admit to, but a bed buddies relationship. This threw me for a loop. I had to stop and think about this before continuing reading. It seemed odd that they had a relationship before the story even started. But I loved it and was hooked before I finished the first page.

Jana Garner is just as amazing of a character. I absolutely love how strong she is. She speaks her mind, holds her own, isn’t afraid to push for what she wants, and just never gives up. Yet, she has this soft side, this side that is begging for someone to sweep in and take care of her. Hunter is applying for that job of caretaker, lover, supporter, and #1 man.

Of course, my favorite part of this book is the friendships. The women of Seaside are amazing. They love with their whole hearts, protect what and who is theirs, laugh, smile, and are just the best. They accept new comers to their group without question. Even now with babies and hubbies thrown into the mix they still have time to chunky-dunk and just be together.

"Herzklopfen in Seaside" ist der sechste Teil der "Seaside Summers" Reihe. Jeder Teil kann vollkommen unabhängig voneinander gelesen werden, jede Geschichte ist abgeschlossen. Trotzdem gibt es immer ein Wiedersehen mit der kompletten Clique und das liebe ich so sehr.



Ich bin dieser Reihe und dieser tollen Clique schon seit dem ersten Teil verfallen. Nach jedem Teil kann ich es kaum erwarten, das ich endlich wieder ans Cap zurückkehren darf. Ich freue mich schon immer sehr darauf zu erfahren was Bella und auch Theresa sich wieder an kleinen Spitzen gegeneinander einfallen lassen, was habe ich dabei schon gelacht, herrlich. Ich würde so gerne einmal selber nach Cap Code fahren und mir die Häuser und alles persönlich ansehen. Auch würde ich so gerne ein Teil meiner Lieblings-Clique sein, solche Freunde fehlen mir wirklich in meinem Leben. Ich durfte ja nun schon einige aus dieser Clique kennenlernen und könnte gar nicht sagen, wer von ihnen mein Lieblingspärchen ist, ich liebe sie einfach so sehr, aber Hunter und auch Jana sind schon etwas ganz besonderes. Mit Jana habe ich so einiges gemeinsam, ich kann sie so gut verstehen warum sie so ist wie sie ist, aber ich kann sie auch so gut verstehen warum sie Hunter nicht widerstehen kann... das könnte ich auch nicht...



Der Schreibstil hat mir wieder so wahnsinnig gut gefallen. Ich durfte jetzt schon einige Bücher der Autorin lesen und habe sie einfach alle so geliebt. Er ist flüssig, mitreißend und auch so bildgewaltig. Ich habe immer das Gefühlt ich stehe direkt im Buch, ich kann alles direkt vor mir sehen. Dankeschön das ich es lesen durfte.



Hunter kann keiner schönen Frau widerstehen, doch mehr wie einmal nimmer er selten eine mit nach Hause. Doch dann tritt Jana in sein Leben und je öfter sie sich sehen und eine Nach miteinander verbringen, umso mehr verändert sich etwas in ihm. Er möchte mehr, doch so einfach macht Jana es ihm nicht, denn sie ist da wir er...

"Herzklopfen in Seaside (Seaside Summers 6)" von Melissa Foster

Meine Meinung:

Die Sommergemeinschaft am Cape Cod ist wirklich einzigartig und ich freu mich immer wenn ich die Möglichkeit habe wieder einen neuen Band der Reihe lesen zu dürfen. Ich fühl mich einfach wohl mit den Mädels und ihren Männern.

Auch in dem Band um Jana und Hunter schafft die Autorin es wieder die Funken sprühen zu lassen, prickelnd, romantisch, emotional und einfach wunderbar und anschaulich geschrieben fliegen die Seiten einfach nur. Ich war schnell in der Geschichte gefangen und mochte sie kaum aus der Hand legen.

Wunderschön finde ich auch die kleinen verbalen Sticheleien der Protagonisten die wieder vom Humor der Autorin zeugen.

Ein echter Foster der mir wieder viel Spaß gemacht hat.

Zum Inhalt:
Nach einem Tag voll harter Arbeit an seinen exquisiten Metallskulpturen entspannt sich Hunter gerne mal in den Armen einer hübschen Frau – oder auch zwei. Aber nach ein paar heißen Nächten mit der verführerischen, wunderschönen Jana Garner will Hunter mehr, denn diese Frau fordert ihn zu jeder sich bietenden Gelegenheit heraus.

Als Tänzerin, Boxerin, Schauspielerin und Kellnerin ist Jana tough, engagiert und gut organisiert, aber vor allem ist sie eine starke Frau, die durchzieht, was sie sich in den Kopf setzt. Das muss sie auch, um ihren zahlreichen Verpflichtungen nachzukommen. Was Männer angeht, hat sie allerdings nach einer Reihe von üblen Ex-Freunden eine klare Linie: Verpflichtungen geht sie erst gar nicht ein.

Wenn Jana und Hunter zusammen sind, brennt die Leidenschaft lichterloh, doch je näher Hunter ihr kommt, desto mehr hält Jana ihn auf Abstand. Als er schließlich eine Charmeoffensive startet, konfrontiert Jana ihn mit einer Herausforderung, der er sicher nicht gewachsen ist. Doch Hunter überrascht sie, und so ist sie gezwungen, sich entweder mit ihrer schmerzhaften Vergangenheit auseinanderzusetzen oder ihn für immer gehen zu lassen.

Geister der Vergangenheit
Oh wie schön, wieder in Seaside zu verweilen. Passendes Cover, wie immer, ein Schreibstil der einfach süchtig macht.

Jana, die Boxer- und Tänzerin hat seit geraumer Zeit mit Hunter, dem Metallkünstler und Bruder von Sky, eine Sexaffäre.
Beide sind überzeugende Single, beide haben ihre Beweggründe hierzu.
Jana eine starke Frau, musste eine tiefe Enttäuschung einstecken und möchte keine Verpflichtungen eingehen. Genau wie Hunter, der gerne mal sich von schönen Frauen verwöhnen lässt.
Allerdings brennt seine Leidenschaft bei Jana lichterloh und er will mehr.
Spannend geht es weiter…. Lest selbst.

Habe das Buch zügig gelesen und ich bin hin und weg. Mit vielen Emotionen und sehr tiefgründig geht es hier zur Sache. Es geht wirklich in erster Linie um diese beiden und ihre Leidenschaften. Freunde sind zwar wieder mit dabei aber halten sich im Hintergrund.
Ich weiß nicht genau wie es der Autorin hier gelungen ist diese Erotik, das Prickeln und den Sex so zu beschreiben das man jedes Wort aufsaugt, fühlt und die Gedanken / Zweifel der Protagonisten spürt.
Ja und natürlich darf eine Prise Humor nicht fehlen – was hab ich vor mich hin geschmunzelt. Herrlich.
Ein ganz besonderer Punkt war auch für mich die Metallkunst. Diese „Erwachende Eleganz“ hat man bildlich vor Augen. Bis ins Detail beschrieben, das Kopf Kino ist angesprungen.
Hunter vor der Esse arbeitend – was für ein Gedanke.
Hier wäre es noch ein Top gewesen: Bilder der Skulptur auf der Seite oben abzubilden.

Dieser Band liest sich ganz gut als Einzelband. Würde aber trotzdem empfehlen die anderen ebenfalls zu Lesen.

Fazit: Einfach ein Wow für diese Story – muss gelesen werden.

A frenemies, reformation of a playboy and an in-laws to more steamy romance with errotic scenes. Metal artist Hunter and Dance instructor/boxer/waitress Jana hook up despite their siblings advice. However, despite their mutual desire to remain unattached, they find themselves continually drawn to each other causing Jana to question her feelings and Hunter's purpose. Side stories include the progressive lives of the Seaside Group including their infants, a twist to the Bella and Theresa pranks, and Hunter's coworker's rocky marriage.

Dissatisfied Princeton professor Matt takes a sabbatical in Seaside to write a book,celebrate the triple wedding of his siblings, help try to save his father's hardware store, and to have a closer relationship with both his family and the woman he fantasizes about, his father's employee,single mother Mira.

In " Herzklopfen in Seaside (Seaside Summers 6) " ist Jana mit ihrem turbulenten Leben als Tänzerin, Boxer und Schauspielerin zufrieden und Männer lässt sie nur für kurze Zeit in ihr Leben.
Doch als Jana auf Hunter trifft und mit diesem eine heiße Nacht erlebt, ändert sich etwas. Denn mit jedem erneuten aufeinandertreffen fliegen zwischen ihnen nicht nur die Fetzen, da die Anziehung zueinander das ganze nicht einfacher macht. Doch da ist immer noch ihr gemeinsamer Freundeskreis.
Hunter gibt in seinem Beruf als Metalkünstler alles und liebt es, sich mit Frauen eine schöne Zeit zu machen. Doch eine fest Beziehung hat er dabei nicht im Sinn, bis er auf Jana trifft.
Denn das kleine sexy Kraftpaket gibt Hunter ständig Kontra und das ist etwas, dass Jana für ihn interessant macht.
Kann Hunter Jana von seinen ehrlich Absichten überzeugen, damit es für beide eine Chance auf eine gemeinsame Zukunft gibt? Und ist Jana bereit, ihr Herz zu riskieren?
Die Story hat mich gleich wieder in den Bann der Seaside Summer Clique gebracht, dabei bleibt sie spannungsgeladen sowie abwechslungsreich. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende Momente und das ein oder andere Tränchen zu vergießen.
Ich musste das Buch in einem Rutsch lesen, da ich wissen wollte, ob es für beide ein Happy End gab.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.

Take me to Cape Cod for the summer! I love these books and the community Melissa Foster has created for me to escape with! It's like I am one of the bunch and get to enjoy all the relationships that are being built. Hunter and Jana have been sleeping together for the last year. Agreeing they do not want a relationship, they enjoy each other. But something has changed and Hunter is on a mission to win Jana over. Will he be able to? Does he know what romance is? Will she see his love? Talk about romance, Hunter had me from the very beginning. He is quite the man and he knows what he needs to do. There were periods that Jana frustrated me, but that just makes the story that much better. A little conflict goes a long way for these two to find their happiness. I also love seeing everyone else. From the happy couples to those with marriage problems, we live realistic issues with this community and I love how Foster compassionately handles it. Another amazing listen.

BJ Harrison continues his narration of the series. I love this because not only is he a good narrator, but he is consistent between books, making the series amazing. He enhances the listens and leaves me happy and satisfied!

If you have read some of my reviews you will already know that I loved most of the books I have read from Melissa Foster. Embraced at seaside is not one of those books, unfortunately. I didn't hate the heroine, but it was a close call since she was always pushing Hunter away. Up 'till the last 2 chapters, I felt like their relationship was going nowhere and I wanted to see Hunter moving on or at least trying to until Jana realized that Hunter must be kept at all costs. He is a great guy and since I never felt like she appreciated him, I can have him and she can have her loneliness. It will be a fair switch. Her past didn't really justify her behavior.

I want to see a story with Clark and his wife Nina. Their problems are a big part of this book and I feel like we deserve a story with the two of them as they work things out. It would have helped if we actually saw Nina for a scene or two. The book wasn't that bad. I loved Hunter more than I disliked Jana, so that's something. The rest of the story was good and I liked the author's writing (as I usually do). I would recommend the book.

Das Cover ist schon eine Augenweide und auch diese Geschichte war wieder wundervoll, voller Liebe und Sehnsucht auch die Erotik kam nicht zu kurz, diesmal geht es um Jana und Hunter. Jana ist ein sehr ehrgeiziges Mädel sie möchte unabhängig sein sie boxt sie tanzt für ihr leben gerne, ihr Lebenstraum wäre ein eigenes Tanzsstudio, aber auch sie hat Narben aus ihrer Vergangenheit sie sie sehr gerne versteckt. Hunter ist ein junger hübscher Kerl, er nimmt alle mit was er bekommen kann, aber Jana hat in ihm was geweckt und er hat gemerkt das er Jana für ganz haben möchte. Doch Jana sträubt sich und glaubt ihm nicht und wehrt sich um ihre Gefühle. Doch Hunter gibt nicht auf und versucht alles um ihr Herz zu gewinnen, manchmal war es schon zu arg was er alles versucht hat um Jana zu überzeugen, es war soo romantisch, ich bin wieder dahingeschmolzen ich war hin und weg. Ob er es geschafft hat Jana zu überzeugen? Tjaaa das müsst ihr schon selber rausfinden lest es dann wisst ihr es.
Es war eine mega Geschichte die mir sehr gut gefallen hat, danke an Melissa, für diese tolle Geschichte, ich freue mich schon auf die nächste tolle Geschichte.

Loved reading Hunter and Jana's book.

Jana kinda irked me a bit with her attitude and lack of compromising with Hunter. But after awhile, I turned out to love her. She is very stubborn, not afraid to speak up, and very in charge of herself, except she seems to always second guess and doubt her abilities. Hunter is there to show her that yes she has the abilities and the strength, she just can't see it, but everyone else can.

Hunter is a total player, but once he fell for Jana, all bets were off. He was all about her and doing things he never did in past hook ups. Like roses, sunrises, romantic dinners. He even had to look up how to be romantic, which I will say is a hilarious scene in the book.

I am glad Jana was able to overcome some of her insecurities and realize she can depend on Hunter and that her feelings are reciprocated. The trust is there, but it took a long time to build to a point where Jana was comfortable.

Great love story about two lost souls finding each other, healing, growing, and maturing into a healthy, loving relationship.

Hunter owns an metal sculpting business with his brother Grayson. Jana is a former dancer, a dance instructor, sometimes waitress as well as an amateur boxer. Both Hunter and Jana have both shun relationships. Even though they seem to fight whenever they are around each other, they cannot deny the chemistry between them. One drunken night together turns into a six month no-strings attached arrangement. As their relationship begins to flourish, Jana's insecurities seem to get in her way preventing her to fully commit to Hunter. Hunter is a patient man and is determined to help Jana set herself free from her insecurities. Jana is sure Hunter will leave her once she reveals the drama from a previous relationship. When he doesn't judge her, she starts to believe they can make a go at a real committed relationship.

This is a great story about overcoming insecurities and finally letting one trust that love can conquer all. BJ Harrison does a mighty fine job.

This audiobook pulled me right from the start. I love stories like this because it you can't pull me right at the start then i get bored fast. But this story by Melissa Foster was great right from the beginning. Right off the bat Hunter Lacroux and Jana Garner have a fun and pleasing night together. They have both been hooking up for a while with no strings attached. They fight constantly during the day and make up just as intense in the bedroom. Hunter has never been serious about anyone and Jana prefers to have her fun. Hunter starts having more feelings that he doesn't recognize but while he spends more time with Jana he realizes he wants more than their hookups. Can he romance Jana into giving their hookups something more meaningful? Only time and romance will tell. B.J. Harrison was the narrator and he was on point with the characters and pulling us into his narration. This is a must listen to audiobook.

I've listened to a lot of audio books written by Melissa Foster, but she surprised me a bit with this one. The beginning was certainly different. The characters of Jana and Hunter were sexual at the very beginning--with no romance in sight! What??? In a Melissa Foster book? Seriously?
Neither Jana nor Hunter is looking for a relationship...just a occasional sex. But then Jana isn't much into going after her dreams. She's too busy. When Hunter can't even get Jana to say that she wants him and she tells him he doesn't know anything about romance, Hunter takes it as a challenge. What starts as a challenge just to get her to admit she wants him soon turns into way more. Will they both ever admit that they want and maybe already have more?
The narration by B.J. Harrison was great, as always!
