A Bet…

Yes, I made a bet with my best friend—my now ex-best friend. It had been a stupid, heat of the moment kind of thing. I’d just wanted to get her out of my system and move one. Instead I’ve lived to regret it ever since. I lost the girl I loved, a girl that possessed my very soul. Now I can’t even get close to Natalie. She thinks all she ever meant to me was just the means to the end of a stupid, stupid game.

…For a Bet!

In the span of one night I’d gone from thinking I had a future with the man I loved to SHATTERED at his feet. I can’t get over it. The pain is too strong, too destructive as it festers more and more inside of me. And then my friend came up with the perfect revenge for both our broken hearts.

“I bet you…”

Those three little words gave me a reason to ball my pain up and throw it back in Devlin Cutter’s face. I would let him back in, let him think he had a chance with me once again. And then I would walk away, leaving him broken and bleeding at my feet as he once had left me.

This time he would be the one SHATTERED.

The Rocker Who Shatters Me was the ninth book in the Rocker series by Terri Anne Browning. It focused on Devlin, the drummer for OtherWorld, and Natalie, the sister to two Demon’s Wings members.

The timeline of The Rocker Who Shatters Me coincided with the OtherWorld and Demon’s Wings tour from the previous book, The Rocker Who Cherished Me. Although many of the events were familiar, the perspective was told from both Natalie and Devlin; therefore, forming a new story.

I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. I love how Browning incorporated all of the band members and continued to develop past stories that we loved. The bands were family with a strong bond that included loyalty, rivalry, protectiveness, humor, anger and fun. The only drawback was the many editing errors.

All in all, it was a fairly quick, fun and entertaining read. Browning continued to develop future stories and next up we finally get Liam and Gabriella in The Rocker Who Hates Me.

AAAAaaAaaaAaaanother fantastic addition to this series

let me keep this short, I love Natalie, and I love Devlin.

but I'm sorry I just have to reel in my thought from the excerpt of the NEXT BOOK.... yeah I finish this book, and all I can think about is the next book..

How is it that I've hated Gabriella for, lemme see 9 books, and within a few paragraphs I feel like she's redeemed herself..???? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN???

I feel like I can really hold a grudge, but Terri seemed to have done some magic voodoo on me to feel that she's all the sudden worthy for Liam. Read my last review on the last book, you'll see that I didn't feel she was worthy.

3.5 - 4 stars!!

This book started off right in the middle of a hot love story between Natalie and Devlin, a famous rock star. But things suddenly crash and burn when it is revealed that actually a bet started it all! But even though Devlin began sleeping with Natalie on a whim, he actually fell hard for her and spends the rest of the book trying to win her back.

I loved Natalie's feisty spirit!! Even though she is much younger than Devlin, she was no push-over. It isn't easy being in love with a rocker but Natalie holds her own with the fans, the groupies, touring and all the pressure that comes with being in the public eye. And Devlin...swoon!! Sexy, smart, talented... but will he do what it takes to get Natalie back before it's too late? I loved his Alpha ways and their scenes together are HOT HOT HOT!!

This was my first book in the series and I totally was at home with the cast of characters. There was plenty of background given on each rocker and I loved all of the band members and their significant others. If you are looking for a sexy, rocker book with lots and lots of steam, then The Rocker Who Shatters Me is for you. Terri Anne Browning writes a quick-paced, sexy and loving story and I am looking forward to reading her other books. Enjoy!

Natalie & Devlin

Natalie Stevenson loves Devlin Cutter. But 1 year ago Devlin shattered Natalie's heart and she still can't put the pieces together.

It was supposed to be an innocent and harmless bet between two best friends. Which one can NAIL the new chick first. But the bet destroyed all three people and their relationships. Devlin and Zander were best friends until Zander told about the bet and Devlin lost the woman he loved. Natalie hates Devlin and loves Devlin. Natalie struggles to move forward and keep working with Devlin even though she can't be alone with the sexy ROCKER because her body does not know that her heart is still mad at the rocker.

Devlin tries to talk to Natalie at any opportunity. Devlin knows what they had 1 year ago was the start of something awesome. Devlin does his best to make up for his screw up and prove to Natalie that she is special to him and it was not a game that he was playing.

When Natalie is forced on the OtherWorld tour bus she has no choice but to see Devlin everyday. As time passes she becomes less mad at the rocker and Devlin starts to win back her trust and her heart.

Zander tries to tell Natalie that he is sorry and wants to be friends again like they used to be before that stupid bet. But can Natalie forgive him.

I love Harris (Devlin's son) and Devlin's relationship. It feels right with Devlin being so young when Harris was born. I hope I still love Harris after I read Catching Lucy. The relationship between Harris and Natalie is very sweet as well. I like that Harris sees Natalie as a big sister/mom role in his life even though they are close in age. This book overlaps The Rocker Who Cherishes Me, Wroth and Marissa's story. So you get to go back a little ways and remember what happened with Marissa and Wroth.

Devlin's love for Natalie comes through but his fear is also present and we get to see his vulnerable side.

I hope to see more of Jenna and Kenzie in some of the future books.

I really hate to say this, but I was a bit disappointed in this one. This one was just alright to me. I felt like I was re-reading Wroth and Marissa's book, with all of the refusing to communicate and the childish antics that were at play in this book. Once I finished the book, the thing that I realized is, that these last two books needed to go in a different direction. I'm not sure why the two books were so similar with few differences, but it really bothered me because Wroth and Devlin are not similar, except for their height, and their relationships with the two women were very different. I understood Natalie's anger about the bet, but overall, she came across as very childish and immature. I could not understand why she was willing to go there with Devlin, but refused to talk to him at all. Very weird. The book did not feel like it really took off until after Natalie finally confessed all of her secrets that she had been keeping from Devlin, but then, of course, Devlin's feelings on the matter were rushed, and all of a sudden he was ok with everything. Natalie did not speak to Devlin for over a year because of the bet, but what Natalie did to Devlin was instantly forgiven, which was crazy, considering Devlin's past.

Honestly, I have to say that I really had a problem with the destruction of Devlin and Zander's friendship. I don't understand why Devlin needed to go through losing another friend after he had already been down that road with Liam after what happened with Tawny. I also did not like the way Harris was allowed to speak to his father or even about his father. Yes, what his father did was messed up, but there is such a thing as respect for your parent. I just found that there was a lot of general rudeness happening in this book. It is one thing to be feisty, but it is an entirely different story to be rude and disrespectful to people. I am beginning to find that a lot of the girls in this series are coming across as not feisty, but rude and out of control, and I honestly really don't wish to read anymore about how terrified of Emmie everyone is. I got it. Emmie is scary!! This doesn't have to be said in every other paragraph. And the whole "my girl can speak to you anyway that she wishes, but you better not respond in kind" meme is not cool at all.

Having said all of that, I will be reading the next book in the series, because I really do love this series, even though I was disappointed in this one, but I have a wonderful feeling that Liam's book is going to be one of the best in the bunch. I cannot wait to read The Rocker Who Hates Me.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. Have you ever fallen in love and then had that person hurt you so bad that you weren't sure that love was enough to heal the both of you. That is part of what happens with Natalie and Devlin. In The Rocker who wants me we find out that Devlin and Zander made a bet to see who could be the first one to sleep with Natalie. While Natalie has no clue this has occurred she feels that she is getting closer and closet to Devlin. When Zander drunk one night at a bar blurts this information out Natalie feels like she was not only used but that she was played by Devlin to make her believe that he has the same feeling she does.

Devlin knows he screwed up and should have 1) never made that bet with Zander, 2) told Natalie about it, now he is not sure how to get the woman of his dreams back. Not to mention that Natalie is not Devlin's only problem. If you remember in the Rocker who wants me Harris and Natalie were getting closer as well as Natalie and Devlin. Harris is refusing to interact with his father any more than he has to due to what he did to Natalie.

Natalie isn't sure what to do, does she fight for the love she wants or continue to make him suffer? With both the Demon's Wings and the Other Worlder's on tour together there is no way that something can't go wrong but what does she really want to do about it. She knows if anything comes out about this her brother's are going to make someone pay for what she has been going through.

This needs to be on everyone's must read list. The twists and turns will have you hooked from the first word to the very last. Pick up a copy you will not be sorry.

I received an advanced review copy of this book from the author for a honest review.

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love the Demon's Wings and the OtherWorld family!!!! The characters are kick a$s. Their stories all weave together. Simply put, these books are in the top five for all series out there!!!

Dev and Natalie... we already knew so much about their story before we even begin to read the first page. I think that makes it more challenging to dedicate a whole book to them. However, I was still expecting something more exciting and new, when it came to their full story. While I really enjoyed reading this book, it was more due to revisiting all my fave characters rather than digging more into their relationship. Because, there really wasn't many new details to dig into. I would have loved to have read about Dev's early years with Harris.

Harris and Lucy... H being 15/16 and L being 11 going on 12... this isn't a great age range to read about Harris and his obsession with L. Realistically... wouldn't a boy his age be all over the older groupies versus hanging out with an eleven year old?? I'd like to learn more about his life on the road and exposure and thoughts about chicks. Guess I'll have to wait patiently for his book!!!

Harper... I'm still hoping she's pregnant!!!!

The sneak peek for TRTHM...OMG!!! I guess Liam's book is next!!! I can't wait!

Terri Anne better release the next installment SOON!

Reading this book, is like reading the previous book, Marissa & Wroth's book, but in Nat and Devlin's point of view. There are so many repeated scenes only in different point of view. At some point, it's kind of boring to me but I enjoyed it anyway, because I love how Devlin's possessive strike made me all tingly inside.

Overall good book and I loooove the ending! Sure it's painful but FINALLY I can read Liam and Gabriella's story! Yippeee! :D

I have absolutely loved and devoured every single book in Terri Anne Browning’s The Rocker Series. This series is one of my all-time favorites that I just cannot get enough of. These bands, these vibrantly fun characters, and their heart tugging stories just continue to win me over again and again.

With each new book and character’s story I fall more and more in headfirst love with these books and their enthralling characters. The time I’ve spent with these characters is nothing short of wonderful, and I for one was more than thrilled to jump right back into it all with The Rocker Who Shatters Me.

This book follows the dynamic and ever fierce, Natalie and Devlin. I have been dying for their story ever since I got my first real taste of them in The Rocker Who Wants Me. That’s when they captivated me in for the first time, and their story within this book just hit it out of the park for me.

Their story has a seriously intriguing start with a pretty infamous bet, and continues on with more feeling, emotion, and shattering heartbreak than you can shake a stick at. Natalie and Devlin are put to the emotional test in The Rocker Who Shatters Me, and I promise you that that test will leave your heart melting for these unforgettable two.

Natalie is one fierce little cookie. She is so headstrong and she puts up one helluva fight against all that comes her way. Even though Natalie has so many instances of pain that wanted to shatter her, in those same moments she was so beyond fierce that she left me in awe. That fierceness and strength defined and followed her presence, and just exemplified how tough Natalie was through everything. That is one spirited little lady, and you’re going to be blown away by the force that is Natalie in this book.

Devlin Cutter pretty much just made me want to swoon, run my fingers through his hair, and then grab a fan. Then repeat all that again. But what I loved most about his character was his determination. He never gives up hope. He’s in the ring constantly fighting for Natalie, and he never waivers in his determination to make the wrong he created right. That determination won me over repeatedly, and just illuminated how much of a good guy he was underneath it all. Yes he seriously effed up majorly, but his steadfast determination to fix it all had me practically melting with love for him.

This book opens with Natalie and Devlin in not so fantastic place, and it continues to build as they try to figure out if they can get back to that place again. That tension and build characterizes their relationship, and it just made me tear through their magnificent story more. I couldn’t put it down, and with each page I turned the tension and build just kept getting higher and higher. I could feel that build in my bones, and it electrified everything I was reading. Waiting for all that tension and build to boil over and explode was just spectacular too.

You will kind of feel heartbroken while reading portions of this book because of the pain both Devlin and Natalie experience. Terri Anne Browning dives deep into both their heads and allows you to understand and feel all the anguish they both have. I loved that she made it easy to feel for both of them, even Devlin after all he does to Natalie. Feeling and experiencing all that pain just hit home the emotions both characters had, and it had me wishing with everything that I could just make it better for them both.

The depth of connection I felt between Natalie and Devlin was like fireworks. Heated, bright, and shining through all the darkness. I think I needed a fan after reading this book after experiencing their heat. The connection and depth of feeling they shared had my heart racing, and it brought a serious flush to my cheeks. Even when they were still trying to figure it all out, the depth of what they felt for one another just reiterated what it was they had together, and why that something was worth every ounce of fight.

The supporting characters just round out this book, and every other book in this series for that matter. I love each of the characters that find themselves in these books fiercely for their uniqueness, and the color they bring to the story. This series is phenomenal in the fact that if gives you repeated chances to spend more time with the characters you love. Each book is a new chapter into all of their lives, and with each opportunity to read them, you’ll just fall more and more in love with them. The way that Terri Anne Browning connects all of these characters together is just brilliant, and I love every single word I get to spend with each and every one of them.

This book and series has such a wonderful feeling of family that weaves its way effortlessly into every single one of these books. You feel it in so many ways, and you get to experience it in ways that will just warm your little heart. In this book you get to experience the connection Natalie shares with her brothers and sister, the connection Devlin shares with his son, and the beyond amazing connection that all of these band members and their significant others share. That theme of family resonates throughout, and just continues to hit home the connection and level of family these characters share with one another.

I really won’t go into any great detail about the specific events of this book because you know I never reveal those things, but the events of this book made this book for me. They were fast paced, they were emotional, and they kept me hooked in from beginning to end. The events of this book take Natalie and Devlin to some very interesting places I never expected, but that’s what made it fantastic. I never knew where the next turn or event would take them, and that just made this book all the more outstanding to read.

This series is bounding with all types of love. There’s the love between a man and a woman, the love between siblings blood related and not, and the love between friends. So many kinds of love and so many levels of love. All that love just envelops you in, and you feel it in your heart deeply. You will feel the love over and over, and it just hits home what these two, and what everyone in this book is fighting for, and why it’s so worth it that they give it all they’ve got to get where they want and deserve to be.

These books, these characters, these stories are ADDICTING. They just don’t stop with their amaziness, and they keep giving you more of what you need. Each one of the books in The Rocker Series hits it out of the darn park with how much punch they each pack.

Natalie and Devlin’s story was one filled with plenty of emotion and shattering pain, but it’s also filled with so much more. These two are going to break your heart, but they’re also going to try like hell to make it all better again for themselves and for you as the reader. Even though things with Natalie and Devlin are shaky to say the least and they continue to make each other work for what they both want, you will love them immensely for who they are and what they have together.

The Rocker Who Shatters Me is another brilliant addition to The Rocker Series by Terri Anne Browning. This book just exemplifies all that this fantastic series is. It has a story that just doesn’t quit, characters that will win you over in an instant, enough feeling, emotion, and heat to win your heart over, with the two very best bands around.

There’s nothing you won’t love about this series and Natalie and Devlin, so get to devouring this must read book and series today! You won’t be sorry.

Unless you piss off Emmie or Natalie by not reading these books, and then you kind of will be sorry…

The Review:

This is book nine in The Rocker Series, and I have to say that Terri Anne Browning does it again. I have read every book in this series, and I continue to be impressed with the stories and the characters. I have wanted to read this story for a while now, because having read the previous books, you were introduced to the characters and to the bet that shattered the fragile romance between Devlin and Natalie. Now we finally have our answers. Terri is a great writer who has a habit of always leaving us wanting more. She flawlessly weaves her stories together, introducing characters that you want to know more about, and that you become invested in. They are also characters that continue to appear throughout the series, so you always know what is going on with your favorites.

Natalie is a woman who is not afraid to stand up for herself, and is hardworking, loyal, and loving. Despite the fact that two people she cared about betrayed her in the worst way, she still found it within herself to protect them from her brothers wrath. While Natalie had been in love with Devlin, and thought that what they shared was real, her life was turned upside down when the bet was revealed to her. She didn’t know whether to trust her head or her heart anymore. Choosing to withdraw from the situation, she built walls up to protect her heart from the man who continues to be a presence in her life. The only problem with the job that she loves is that she is forced into uncomfortable situations where she has to be around both Devlin and Zander. Though she wants to be able to move on from him, Devlin found his way into her heart and she has a hard time letting him go. In a moment of weakness, she makes a bet with her friend to get Devlin to fall in love with her and then leave him. Breaking his heart in the same way that he broke hers. The problem is, the more time she spends with him, the more old feelings resurface.

Devlin is a man living with regrets. In a moment of stupidity, he made a bet with his then best friend and band mate Zander, to see who could get into Natalie’s panties first. The only thing he never counted on was the fact that he came to truly care for her. Rather than tell her how he really felt, he let her go on believing it was all a game. That moment cost him the friendship that had helped him through the toughest situations in his life, as well as the woman that he fell for. His own son appeared to have turned his back on him for his thoughtless choices. Being forced to watch Natalie from afar for so long, Devlin decides that he will do everything in his power to win her back. Including going head to head with her brothers when the truth comes out.

This is a love story about two people who never thought that they would be able to open up and trust another person again. Two people who fought their feelings for one another until it burst out in a moment of passion. A moment that changes the course of their lives forever. When these two people come together, sparks ignite, leaving others blind in their wake. Will they be able to overcome their worst fears, and all the pain and suffering of their past to build a future together? Only time will tell.

I think that Terri Anne has created a world that readers love. The characters are intriguing, the writing is enjoyable, and the story lines keep you coming back for more. She does a great job of presenting a dual POV where the writing doesn’t overlap. I absolutely loathe when authors use dual POV that equals the exact same scenes word for word. Terri Anne always manages to provide a new perspective into a scene that you may have had a taste of before. I love that the males in these stories are extremely protective of their women. Once they commit they are in it for life. Not only is this a story about rock stars, and the crazy life that they live, it is a story of family and loyalty. Something that this author excels in writing about. I love that while they may not all be related by blood, or may not have grown up together, it is clear that they are a cohesive unit. Plus, it always cracks me up that everyone is so scared of Emmie, the little redhead with a big mouth and even bigger personality.

Overall, I highly recommend this book and this series. I do suggest reading the books in order for maximum enjoyment, and a clear understanding of what is going on with the characters. As a bonus, at the end of this book, an excerpt from the next Rocker Series book, The Rocker Who Hates Me was provided. Can I just say wow? I am absolutely looking forward to this next book. My Review ~

What do you do when you believe the man that you're head over heels in love with played you like he does his drums? This is what Natalie has to face after falling in love with the sinfully sexy OtherWorld drummer Devlin Cutter. Zander makes a bet with Devlin when Natalie joined the tour. Thanks to a drunken, pissed off Zander the bed ended up being tossed in Natalie's face. That revelation shattered her to her soul and she up and walked away from Devlin without a backward glance.

The Rocker Who Shatters me picks up about a year after the bet was revealed. Demon's Wings and OtherWorld are getting ready to head out on tour again, along with their extended families which is going to force Natalie into close contact with Devlin all over again. What follows is one hot, wildly beautiful ride of their lives because Nat and Devlin truly belong together. Both love the other fiercely, they're just both hesitant to jump feet first into their own forever.

This story runs the gamut of emotions from heartbreaking pain to top of the mountain exhilaration. Devlin is the kind of rocker us rocker girls covet. Sexy long hair, casual yet laid back style, inked, slightly scruffy at times, and is a killer dad. His son Harris is going to kill us dead if the author ever writes his story because he's a 16 year old carbon copy of his dad, just without the ink and long hair for now.

I will say I had a few moments in this book where I kind of wanted to bitch slap Natalie, just because she wanted to play a game to get back at Devlin. Also because she lied to him a few times about something important. I felt the same way toward Marissa in her and Wroth's book for the same reason. Otherwise this was one of the strongest entries in the series so far between the storyline and all the characters revisited. Quite a few plot points that have been percolating are moving forward, and I'm seeing the possibility for more books in the series. But I could just be really wishing for more than what's possible. I can't wait for Liam's book, which is next because the little glimpse we got at the end of this book ... well, it will rock your world!

The Rocker Who Shatters Me is the 9th book in The Rocker series and it's best to read the books in order as they all tie into each other. Trust me...you want to read the ENTIRE series if you've not read them yet. Every book is filled with seriously sexy rockers, strong-willed heroines, and hot, hot, hot smexy times!!

I recommend this book and series to all those rock girls out there rocking out to Shinedown, Myles Kennedy, Avenged Sevenfold, and all the other raucously loud bands we love.

“The sound of that voice was like a caress. It skimmed over every nerve in my body, awakening it for a passion that had consumed me just as badly as my love for him once had. I closed my eyes and let the anger I still felt ten months later fill me. Anger was better than the love, the pain. It was so much better than having to prick myself on the sharp shards of broken heart that still laid in my chest because I hadn’t been able to put it back together after he had shattered it. Shattered me.”

As hinted in The Rocker Who Wants Me and TheRocker Who Cherishes Me, Natalie Stevenson was involved in a bit of a “love triangle” with OtherWorld drummer Devlin Cutter and his buddy, bassist Zander. Or more like Devlin loves her; Zander just wanted to win a bet. And a bet is the root of all evil for Dev and Natalie’s relationship. A bet that landed Devlin a concussion; Zander cracked ribs and a broken nose; and Natalie a shattered heart.

And the bets didn’t end there.

A revenge bet, turning the tables on Devlin and Wroth by swooning, bedding, and dumping the rocker of their dreams, is what Natalie and Marissa, feeling hurt and betrayed, cooked up. But then Wroth finally stepped up to the plate and won back Marissa’s heart. (And oh boy did he ever. If you haven’t read The Rocker Who Cherishes Me, grab it now and read Wroth’s epic sweeping of Marissa off her feet.) So where did that leave Nat’s plans?

“It was going to be hard enough to keep from letting my heart get involved all over again, and I was still questioning my own ability to follow through with the bet. Could I really shatter Devlin the way he’d shattered me?” –Natalie

Well bedding Devlin again really isn’t the hard part of Natalie’s dilemma. It happens quite instinctively…often… and with raging passion. There are some great hot scenes in this one, public and private! Nat and Dev are one of those couples that have tons of tension and chemistry, but they keep reading each other wrong. Nat can’t get past the bet and the feeling that she’s nothing more than a lay to Dev, and Devlin, well he just can’t stay away from her, even if it puts his life and limbs in danger from her brothers.

“I can’t help how I look at her, Em. It would be like telling myself to stop breathing to stop looking at her like that.” –Devlin

What will Shane and Drake do when they find out about the bet? Will Dev and Zander have the wrath of the Demon’s Wings reigning down on them? And how will one slip-up affect Nat and Dev’s future?

I adored Nat and Dev as a couple; I just felt their spark....And I developed a bit of a crush on Devlin Cutter. Dev is a sexy, slightly hot-headed, single dad to a teenage son, and Terri does a great job of making their relationship feel realistic given their ages and background history. Natalie is cute, tough, and vulnerable all in one. She does her best to keep the OtherWorld boys in line as part of her job even when she’s dealing with her own turmoil, most of which is caused by two of the rockers she’s in charge of.

So if you want a sizzling rocker read to curl up with by the fire or under the twinkling tree lights, The Rocker Who Shatters Me is most definitely the one new release to 1-click and spend your holidays with OtherWorld. You might even find out what happened to the Christmas stockings in the Cutter household and what Dev has planned for Nat. Plus wait till you read the sneak peak of the 10th book in the series, The Rocker Who Hates Me...just a few pages but it's filled with excitement and drama!

I have been following these rockers from the very beginning and I have to say that despite me thinking I loved Demon’s Wings……the addition of The OtherWorld to rocker family has been so awesome!!

This books finally gives us some much needed insight into the worlds dumbest “BET”………..and the night that the secret was revealed and it changed the lives of Natalie, Devlin and Zander. The problem is that Natalie can’t remove herself from these two male rockers and she has sworn the few people that know the truth to silence. Despite all the negative feelings she has for both Devlin and Zander, she knows just what her brothers Shane and Drake would do if they found out. The problem with this is that Natalie has found her one weakness in Devlin and being forced to be around him at events and on tour.

“Acqua Di Gio was my kryptonite. Just like the man who wore it.”

The real challenge is that Devlin knows how strongly Natalie still responds to him and he isn’t willing to give up on the so easily. Devlin was willing to fight dirty for her and didn’t have an issue with the war he was waging with her for her heart. Natalie fought just as dirty and the whole pixy hair cut was a huge shocker to the entire extended family, but to Devlin it was a direct hit. It seemed to be the defining moment in his internal struggles and it forced him to realize she was so much more than beautiful hair and a stupid bet. Their age difference was always once of his biggest issues with admitting how serious he was about her and once he got past that bump and was able to realize what she made him feel and desire there was no holding back.

“This was my girl. My woman. I wanted, needed – loved her more than anything on the planet. Without her I had nothing, was nothing.”

One stupid “BET” is one thing, but factor that into two females that were left crushed by their rockers and why not throw in another “BET”. I was really taken back by this bet and it sort of seems even worse than the first one, but a broken heart can cause you to do some crazy stuff. Both Marissa and Natalie quickly realize that the idea is stupid and let things play out without restraints to hold them back.

The biggest challenge that is left for Devlin and Natalie is to finally face the facts of the night at the charity event………I put two and two together on this one, but the moment it came to head was painful. I could see the pain radiating off Devlin, but I also understood her reasons. They both had to come to grips with the fact that what might have been started based on a stupid “BET” had developed into something that would shape their futures.

The best part of the whole book was how involved all the other family members are in this story line……….Linc, Marissa, Rhett, Harris, Shane, Drake, Emmie, Dallas, Layla and even Zander!! Their lives are so interwoven that the support their offer one another is really something special. Something extra special in this book was the father and son relationship between Devlin and Harris.

I will leave you with one final thought before the next book - I hope we never have to hear the words “CODE RED” as the second time around they broke my heart!!

Review by Lisa Kane

Natalie Stevenson is Emmie's right hand girl and helps to manage the thousand and one details necessary for Demons Wings and OtherWorld. We learned a little bit in the previous two books about the bet that Zander and Devlin made about who would get her into bed first. It was a stupid bet and one that bit Devlin Cutter in the ass. By the time Zander told Natalie about it, Devlin was in love with her and he was equally shattered when Natalie broke up with him. She won't talk to him and won't give him a chance to explain. Zander and Devlin were once best friends and now can't stand each other.

Natalie's heart may be broken, but she still protects Devlin. She knows if her brothers Shane and Drake find out about the bet, he's a dead man. So she suffers in silence and is dreading going on tour with the two bands, but she will just have to suck it up-that's her job and she can be a professional.

The two of them are explosive together. When Natalie cuts her long, flowing hair, into almost a pixie cut, she does it to make Devlin hurt. She knows her hair is her biggest turn on for him, so she isn't surprised to see his shock and hurt when he sees it. She just didn't count on his reaction hurting her so much.

"What the f#*k did you do, Nat?" His voice was pained, his eyes dark with hurt. "All that beauty, gone. Why would you do that?"

Devlin does all he can do to get Natalie alone so he can explain things to her. But when they are alone, jealousies come to the surface and lust overpowers everything and they have angry, fantastic sex. But the next day always seems to bring remorse for Natalie and that always seems to cause Devlin pain.

"Yes. I'm leaving. Last night shouldn't have happened."
"But it did, and now you regret it." He clenched his jaw. "And you don't want to take about it. Like you never want to talk about anything that has to do with us. Typical Natalie. Running away like a scared little girl."

They are in an endless cycle, one neither of them seems capable of breaking. But there is lots of drama surrounding them. Shane and Harper are still contending with the nut job that is out to hurt Harper, Wroth and Melissa are working out their problems, Jesse and Layla are having some angst because she wants another baby and he won't risk her health again. Emmie is trying to juggle her hectic life with managing the bands and being a mom and wife. Fortunately, Drake and Lana and Axton and Dallas are pretty stable and looking forward to baby number two.

This latest installment in The Rocker series met all my expectations and then some. I know there are only a couple more-Zander's and that little snippet that Ms. Browning gave us for Liam and Gabriella's story-that was just torture!! Holy Hell I can't wait for their story to come out.

Finally I lifted my eyes to meet his gaze. My breath caught in my lungs when I saw that his eyes were still shining down at me with love. For so long I'd thought that I would never see that look in his eyes, that I was nothing more than a distraction for him. Maybe one he'd become addicted to at the most because he hadn't simply moved on after that bet.

I completely love this entire series of books. From the moment I started The Rocker a That Holds Me , I wanted to run away and become part of the Demon Wings family. Now that we have added the OtherWorld boys to the mix it's even better. I love how all the stories work together and I love how we still keep getting all of our rockers in each book. The men are hot, Alpha and amazing. The girls are all chicks you would want to become friends with and hang out with.

This book focused on Devlin and Natalie's story. We learned in a previous book that Devlin and Zander made a bet to see who could get Nat into bed first. When Devlin won that bet Zander proceeded to tell Nat all about it, completely breaking Nat's heart. Not only had she lost the mans he loved but also Zander, who was one of her best friends. The book starts several months after the bet had been revealed and Nat is still dealing with her heartbreak. Devlin is determined to win back the only girl he ever loved and Nat is fighting the draw he has on her.

Devlin really surprised me in this book. From the other books I had never got a real good read on him,but I quickly came to love his character as much as the other Demon's or OW guys. He honestly hadn't been one of the books I was anticipating, but I would say after reading he is definitely top 3 of the series for me. I really liked his inner monologues especially where his son Harris was concerned. I really enjoyed Natalie's character as well. For someone so young she carried herself much more maturely. She was definitely strong and feisty.

I really only had one issue with the book. It seemed most of the book was Devlin trying to win her back. Once they finally resolved their issues and we're together again, it seemed the book wrapped up pretty quickly after that. I would have liked a little more between them sorting it all out and the epilogue. However, after reading the teaser chapter for the next book I am assuming we may see that time in the next book.

I simply LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE and LOVE this book! Every book in The Rocker series has gotten better and better. I LOVE the Demon's Wings and OtherWorld family. The way Terri Anne Browning weaves them together just adds to how great the series really is.

Natalie and Devlin have fallen in love and the world seems great until Devlin's stupid decision in making "the bet" with his best friend comes back to bite him. Natalie is completely shattered. We move on to see Natalie some time later and she has buried all the pain deep down until a work event brings her face to face with Devlin, which brings all the pain up to the surface again. Devlin has never stopped wanting her back, and Natalie can't stay away from him so Natalie's friend comes up with the perfect revenge, their own bet, and the fun really starts from there.

I started this book before bed so I could just read a couple of chapters and didn't put it down until the last page. I love Devlin but was so mad at him for hurting Natalie that way. Natalie's pain radiates from the pages of the book and I felt every bit of it. I wanted Natalie and Devlin back together but not going to lie, wanted Devlin to suffer a bit. Terri Anne Browning has a style of writing that I'm quite addicted to completely. She also will put you through an emotional roller coaster. I think about when the next book comes out at least once a day and cannot wait for it. I totally recommend this book and the whole Rocker series to everyone!

Spoilers

Terri alway seems to make you love her characters because even though I hated that this one started off with Natalie wanting to punish Devlin. I felt she was being very unforgiving and she wouldn't even let him make it up to her after months of him trying to get her to let him. I mean I get he screwed up and she felt like he didn't care, but she was acting a bit childish over it really. Then she has sex with him and tortures him with the fact that she got the morning after pill to get rid of their little mistake just to torture him again...(Shaking head in bewilderment at this woman's childish behavior...come on.)

Anywho...jump to the middle and they are together on the tour and he is trying to make it up to her and she bets Marissa that she can make him pay like she did. I mean really??? After what him betting made you feel you want to do that same thing to him...sigh. Okay so far from this review you'd think this is a bad review...but it's not. Although, these things annoyed me greatly. I still loved the book and for me it was another grand slam.

They get together, YAY...and then Devlin discovers that whoops she didn't take morning after pill and is preggers. Oops, guess that didn't go as planed.

He gets upset and says something stupid, but fixes it and we have another happy ending for a Rocker, who was a bad boy until he met his match. Love it. Ready for the next story...oh ya, forgot to mention this one ends with an almost kidnapping and a injured Rocker....Hope it turns out okay...and the Rocker lives to get their HEA.

I was interested to see how the author would handle this couple’s story. It played out in the previous book and there were definitely obstacles to these two getting together. Natalie is on tour working for her brother’s band and falls for Devlin from OtherWorld. She is trying to keep things casual so her big brothers don’t interfere. Zander is his best friend and has been flirting with her but she only has eyes for Dev. Imagine her surprise, when she finds out that Devlin and Zander made a bet over who would sleep with her?
OMG-I don’t know if I could recover from that kind of betrayal. It is just too humiliating and too public. Natalie stays away from Devlin for a year to try and heal but now she has to go back out on the road with the band. Devlin looks at this an opportunity to redeem himself to her. Natalie decides she wants revenge. She wants to be with Dev but not lose her heart to him again.
Again, I am not sure how to recover from a bet like this. I wanted to know why Dev made the bet and that wasn’t really explained. Zander apologizes to Natalie but I don’t think it was enough. I am glad her brothers found out and handled Devlin and Zander. Devlin is a father and I just think that was really immature of him to make a bet like that. What does this type of behavior show his son? Devlin redeemed himself in the end but I wasn’t as excited about this book as the others in the series.

*****I was given this book for an honest review. What can I can about Author Terri Anne Browning is she totally awesome author and writer. In book 9 in this series this the story of Natalie and Devlin. Sometimes are action get us into trouble and we truly regret what we've done even though it was exposed. I was upset with Devlin for what he did to Natalie and truly understood how she was really was true heartache. I did love Devlin son Harris who was really close to Natalie even when they was not together. Sometimes true love is right in front of you, but it takes a long time to realize it. I was glad finally to see these two together and not with all the games or getting back each other in the end. Even thought Devlin was older than Natalie, I felt at times she was the more mature one. I also felt Devlin didn't know what to do with his feelings, but the realize just being friends was not enough for them. I can't wait to see what Author Terri Anne Browning has in store for us when her next book comes out in this series. I promise you'll love the story of Natalie and Devlin like I did and it will pull you in as it did me. So once again what a wonderful Terri and I'm never surprised by writing your awesome writing. Can't wait for what is next with you.

I received this book as an Advanced Readers Copy from the publisher/author in exchange for an honest review.

I happen to love books that are a series. I think it is the continuation and that there will be more coming when the book is done, and it isn't often that I start a book on book 9 of the series, but when I read the blurb on this one I decided to give it a try. I have to say that starting so far in didn't effect the story at all, this book can be read as a stand-alone without loosing anything.

Natalie is shattered when she finds out that the rocker she is in love with had a bet going with his best friend. She left the tour but now they are back on tour again... Does she give him another chance.

Devlin was stupid, he regrets the screw-up and wants Natalie back. Will she forgive him and can they find a way to make a relationship work...

I really enjoyed this book and hope to go back and read some of the books I missed....

This was Natalie and Devlin's book. It was pretty good. I struggled through the first bit of the story, though, because it was nothing more than a new perspective of the previous book that focused on Marissa and Wroth. And this time around, I didn't really get much more from the new POV. Otherwise, this wasn't an overly original book, but it was still entertaining. It definitely had some weak plot moments and I'm not sure I would like it if I didn't enjoy hearing about all the other characters that were introduced in previous novels. So it was a poor standalone, but an enjoyable part of a series.

The next book is finally going to feature Gabriella and Liam it looks like. And the teaser at the end of this book made it look very enticing. I wish I knew when it will get published so I can put it on my calendar.

I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review,
I Love this series, and couldn't wait for the next instalment.
This book is about Devlin and Natalie, At the beginning of the book they have been together a few weeks and really happy. The have really fallen for each other.
Then a stupid bet he made with his bandmate/bestfriend ruins it all, leaving Natalie heartbroken.
Months after Natalie still isn't over Dev and he is the same, she has managed to dodge him for months that is until she has 2 go on tour with him for weeks at a time.
Dev works hard to make Nat understand that he Loves her and is sorry for his stupidity.
He works his way back into in her good books, I seriously Love this series and love how their family of rockers keeps getting bigger.
Can not wait for more in The Rocker Series.

Great series that just continues to get better and stronger with all these characters.... they totally feel like family to me now!

Already know the backstory to this one.... Devlin and Zander's bet and the humiliation to Natalie. It was great to finally see where it all went and how things ended up. There were lots of overlapping storylines and I had to think back to remind myself what had happened in previous books!

The best thing? That teaser for the next book, The Rocker Who Hates Me!!! Whoa....I just.... ugh.....dying for it now!

If you are looking for a series about a bunch of lovable rockers and their awesome women who care for each other so much, you will love this series!

Not my favorite in the series, but a solid installment with everything you expect from this great cast of characters.

These rockers take everyone on tour with them! It's kind of chaos. Seriously, every character from the series goes on tour.

The sample chapters for the next book makes me REALLY want to read that book. It's a clever way for the author to make a hated character likable so readers will accept her as the heroine of the next book.

Can't wait!

I liked it, just not as much as the others

I think my biggest hang up was that there was SO much unnecessary drama. She was being unreasonably stubborn, and I know that she was young; but the other ladies in this series have spoiled me. I liked them together, I thought Harris was an awesome character. The ending was cute.
