I finished this second book in Kim Hornsby's Dream Jumper series and I'm happy to say that although the paranormal aspect of it made me stop and think a few times, the story didn't disappoint. Ms. Hornsby has created some strong, interesting and lovable characters who's relationship grows and strengthens as the story unfolds! I am ready to dive into the next one! :-)

Sometimes when there's a long gap between the time I read one book in a series and the next, I worry that it will be hard for me to remember what happened or find my groove in the story. Since it's been more than a year since I read the first book, I thought this might be the case. However, there are little details in this book that jolted my memories of the first book and my worrying was for nothing. That being said, you still need to read the first book in order to get the full story.
The Dream Jumper's Secret was even better than The Dream Jumper's Promise. The second book picks up right where the first book left off, so there's no lull in the story. I felt completely immersed this time around (where it took me a while to get into the first book). I felt like something was constantly happening and my attention was focused.
I found it very interesting that the author included some research notes at the end of the book (along with a couple of recipes). It's little things like that that I really love.
I definitely recommend checking out this series. I've really enjoyed it and I look forward to reading the third book.

I loved the first book Dream Jumper's Promise and looked forward to the release of this second one the Dream Jumper's Secret. I needed a book to take on a mini vacation and threw this one into my suitcase. I'm glad I did. Kim Hornsby once again pulled me into the mystery that surrounds the main characters Jamey and Tina. The characters become even more real to you as events unfold and the danger grows. This book would make a great edge of your seat movie with the paranormal elements and the high stakes for the lovers.

I was a little disappointed with this 2nd book in the dream jumper series. It didn't pull me in like the first book did. Scenes that should have been emotional didn't affect me. Still, the story was interesting and the last part of the book picked up. I'll be looking for the 3rd book to come out.

The characters in this book drive the storyline. Powerfully written and beautifully crafted, the reader falls into Tina and Jamey's life from the very first chapter.

I absolutely loved the new prequel and book 1 so of course I had to read this one. I found the story line to be very intense. The author has the ability to draw you into the story. I cannot put these books down!
In this book, the story is much more serious and darker than the previous books. You start out by reading one of the most scary parts, the main character being is being kidnapped in Afghanistan. That certainly sets the stage.
As always, well written, great characters, complex but complete story lines. I'd recommend this for mature readers and I recommend that you read at least book 1. The prequel is also very well done and I would recommend that too.

I am turned off by any reference to time travel romances. It gives me the impression of a dopey plot of magically transporting back in time like Time After Time. So I gave Ms. Hornsby's book a chance. I was happy that it is a smart reading and kept my mind engaged. I had been to Maui several times and was able to imagine myself there when the scene required it. Thank you for treating us readers as adults with your book.

Another great story of jumping into dreams
Still glad I don’t have the ability to join in on someone’s dreams. We move off island to Seattle are then out of the US in this exciting story of dream jumping. We get to know more of what makes Jamey who he is, and meet his family.
What happens when you get stuck in a dream, that’s not your own? You must relay on someone else to help you, and love. Love always helps

Tense continuation
Great second story in this series! We continue with love building, more about families, and a special military mission into Afghanistan. Can Jamie really jump into an enemy's dream? And can he keep 'the secret'? Really loving this series! A few typos to fix...

I really enjoyed learning more about the characters in the first book, The Dream Jumper's Promise. The romantic story evolved nicely and the tension was high from about 1/3 of the way through to the end. Hornsby weaves a good story. On to the 3rd book now...

The Jumper series is some of the best books I’ve ever read! Kim Hornsby is an amazingly talented writer and the Jumper series will pull you in and makes you feel like you’re a part of them, they become like family and you’ll never want it to end!! Excellent Novella!

Not bad but felt left out a lot from not having read first one. And nothing in it to really grab me, although I liked main chars. 2.5

It left me feeling a bit underwhelmed, but I'll stick to it until the end of the series.

Once again Ms. Hornsby's writing grabs a person and drags them through the world she created. I honestly lost most of yesterday because I was in that world. Her characters are fully fleshed out and you feel like you are right next to them. If you want a book to take you to one of the most mysterious area of being human, dreams, you need this book. I enjoyed the way the book explains everything from the environment to the people and motives.

Exciting read
I read the Dream jumper's Promise and so enjoyed that book that I read the Dream Jumper's Secret. Just the possibility of dream jumping was fascinating and the interweaving of the love story was skillfully done. I anticipate reading the next book. The characters' story draws me in and I want to know what happens next.

DREAM JUMPER SECRET the 2nd book in Kim Hornsby series "Dream Jumper".
Once again she has combined the 3, suspense, supernatural and romance to make a great story. We meet Tina and Jamey, all is not going well for their relationship. The military, the secret, and danger that is part of Jamey, surrounds them .Will the nightmare over shadow a chance of love.
A great story, from beginning to end.

Dream jumping seems magical but yet serious and quite important. Jamey has an important job for the Army that requires his talent. Tina seems to have a similar talent which intensifies their relationship. I found this story refreshing, exciting and had my heart in my throat numerous times.
