Caught

Rate this book
She turned to everyone and everything. Darkness was around her at every turn. She tried to escape but it seemed hopeless. Is anyone there? Loneliness and drugs was all she knew. Demons called and she answered trembling with fear not knowing what was in store. Maybe she will always be in darkness, maybe, she won’t ever see the light. Maybe she's running just waiting to be caught.

I want to start off by saying that I only made it 4 stars because I did not know this was a religious book. I am not religious at all and no where did it say it was a religious book.

That being said the book is very interesting and if you are religious I think you would enjoy this so sooooo much! Without being religious I did enjoy the book to an extent.

What I did think was just so mind blowing was the lemonade stand! About a month ago I was at my parent’s house…we do not watch the news at my house but they do at theirs…and while there the news coverage on the lemonade stand came up. I watched it and forgot all about it. When the book started talking about the stand I was like wow, that’s interesting because not long ago I seen something like that on the news. It then mentioned the bikers and I had remembered that was also mentioned so I was like holdddd on. Googled it and realized it’s the same people I seen on the news. So that was pretty interesting lol. What’s even more strange is my mom’s name is Nikki, mine Veronica and on the next page it had said how she called her friends Veronica and Nicki. So that was really strange! Haha.

Overall I enjoyed the book and would 100% recommend to any of my religious friends 🫶🏼

A must read for anyone caught up in abuse and trying to find a way to deal with the aftermath. There is recovery and help.
