Laurie Olerich is the author of the new Primani series. Part romance, part paranormal, part adventure...Three things she can’t live without! Laurie spent most of her life in the Northeastern United States and in Western Europe. She now lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her son and Dalmatian duo, Domino and Rambo. Desperate to escape the heat, she lives vicariously through Mica and her Primani by setting their adventures in the mountain coolness of New England and the rainy days of London. Before throwing caution to the wind and diving into a writing career, Laurie dedicated 20 years to her country by serving in the United States Air Force. Much of her time was spent around men with guns and cool toys...this explains her obsession with both.
THE LOST SOUL TRILOGY: PRIMANI SERIES BOOKS 1, 2 & 3 by Laurie Olerich
PRIMANI By Laurie Olerich I really enjoyed this story. There is lots of action, likable characters, very different interesting story line, secrets, and more! This is the story of Mica a college student whose mother has past away and she has recently moved in with her dad and his family. After living through a traumatic year and determined to rise above it she throws herself into life. Every time she finds trouble, she has a guardian Angel who rescues her. Sean O'Cahan is a Primani who along with his brothers (team) Killian and Declan are assigned to protect Mica as she is supposed to be important to the future. Primani fight demons and protect special humans. He is supposed to NOT get attached but he can't help himself when she is really into him. The more she finds out about the Primani world, the more she is getting involved.
CALL THE LIGHTNING (PRIMANI BOOK 2) By Laurie Olerich This 2nd book of the Primani is better than the 1st and I liked it a lot. This book has a solid story line, lots of angst, great characters, action, and it has a continuous flow from the 1st book. I stay up way too late reading these books! I loved this one! Laurie Olerich knows how to spin a great story!!!
STONE ANGELS (PRIMANI BOOK 3) By Laurie Olerich I love this series! This is the 3rd book in the continuous series. I have already purchased the rest of the series, I don't want to wait to see what is happening! Tension between Mica, Killian and Sean is off the wall. He is on a downward spiral that is endangering him and others. I have been heartbroken and happy for these angels at the same time. Laurie Olerich is becoming one of my favorite authors, I love the way she writes. What a story! Laurie Olerich is a great story teller. I will be looking for her books in the future.
I liked the premise behind this series - angels, demons, heroes and heroines with kick-ass superpowers and a love story for the ages - I mean what's not to like? Sean and Mica even Declan pulled me in but it was Killian that made me fall head over heels. Killian and Mica's journey took me on one of those epic rides that you only get from a truly great read! It was so perfect I just needed more, so I went on to follow up with Dec and Rori's as well as Sean and Aisling's stories and with so much scope for more adventure I would love to see the next generation of Primani's stories as well!
These Primani rock! I've loved every book in this series so far. The characters are well thought out, powerful & loving in their own ways. The complete series is captivating and remarkable, highly recommended!
Muy lento. Y el hecho de que esté narrado en primera persona impide que haya más de un punto de vista, lo que lo ralentiza más y, además, le quita profundidad a la historia.
The author immediately connects the reader to the female MC as she survives a brutal attempted date rape and murder. She had warning bells telling her the guy was bad news, but she ignored the signs and it almost cost her her life. I immediately empathized with her. It was a smart move on the author's part to start this story with a bang.
Sadly, by 10% the bang was moot and I wasn't so inclined to like the female MC.
Let me preface by saying I'm NOT blaming the victim by any means. What happened to her was wrong, period! However, you'd think that after such an experience as almost getting killed and raped, the female MC wouldn't be so trusting, wouldn't be drawn to bad boys, and would pay more attention to warning bells, right? Apparently not!
Female MC: "Dangerous stranger. I gave myself a mental slap. Dangerous men were bad. I licked my lips in anticipation even though I had no intention of kissing this guy. Was he really at my house earlier?"
Just a few weeks prior, this girl almost died at the hands of a bad boy that she really didn't know well & didn't listen to her own warning bells that something was amiss. Yet, she turns right around and is eyeing hot, stranger, danger guys that may or may not have snuck into her house earlier! This is the first clue our MC is a nitwit.
9% she's driving drunk and would've wrecked without intervention. Nitwit?
She remains reckless, obsessed with "hot" guys whom she senses something is amiss with, and blatantly ignores all forms of reality in nearly every situation she finds herself. Nitwit?
She falls "in love" with Sean even though he and his friends scare her, derail all her advances, an exhibit what's clearly not human behavior. Nitwit?
All the paranormal elements of Sean and his buddies are so obvious that a gang of kindergarten students could figure it out. But our MC forgoes questions that any damn sane person would ask and chooses to all but ignore reality for the sake of keeping her "boyfriend" (a laughable label in this situation) from being sent away. Nitwit? Even worse, the guys say several times how smart she is for figuring out tiny pieces of the equation, like they don't really live with parents. These guys have all but sparkled and grown wearhair & she's still questioning some bs cover story about the guys' parents vs all the paranormal stuff she's witnessed. Nitwit?
At one point, she's just been shot; chased by gun-carrying demons; & passed out in a car, dreamed of a field, and awoke in the car mysteriously covered in dirt from her dream. The nitwit doesn't question the "how's" or "whys" but instead muses about the fun they're about to have while at a safe house. Nitwit?
Okay, clearly the fact the female MC is a nitwit is established. So, the male MC must be better, right? Who the hell would know!?!? He is almost a mute in the story, and most of his lines are repetitive, 'must say' to advance the plot... basically - "stay away" or "I love you." He reads like a bookmark, that is so you know your place in the book.
The stalker plot point is asinine. He somehow manages to avoid a lengthy jail sentence even though he has a lengthy record and almost killed our nitwit. Then, he comes back and tries to kill her again and again! Really?
The writing itself is like someone on an acid trip. The story jumps about, skipping weeks at a time. It will be in the midst of some deep, seemingly pivotal, revelation and abruptly stop to just randomly fast forward to a different scene of no importance. Wtf?
Between long lulls of mundane high school melodramatics, the most annoying cast of characters I could ever fathom, and a plot laced with jumps and all that's nonsensical... This will go down as one of the worst books I've ever read.
I'm not trying to blast the author or be mean, but the truth isn't always rainbows and unicorns. If the author continues writing, I do hope that criticism might make I difference in any future books because this is just bad on so many levels.
Note: bought this as a trilogy on amazon, but I refused to read past book one and almost DNF it.
I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Primani-3 stars

There are mixed feelings for this book. At parts i loved it and i connected so much with the characters and at other parts i was wondering how we ended up where we were, what happened and when.
I believe this book could be much much better. First of all its too long....too too long!!!! It gets boring and drags and drags and drags without really feeling like the story is evolivng much though it does.
On the other hand the actual storyline is intresting despite the fact that needs more work. Some times it gets chaotic and confusing.
Still its the first book and my experience has shown that most series start to get better at book two.
I didn't like the fact that all the bad things happened to her at times it made me wanna laugh and roll my eyes. In the other hand i loved her connection with Sean and Dec and i loved they way her relationship with Killian built up. I loved the emotions and hard feeling i got from all the characters.
Mixed emotions over this book still i can't wait to see what will happen next!
Call the Lightening-4 stars

I have to say that this serie is so confusing to me....i don't enoy that its overlengthy but at the same time its has something special that it just can't let you stop reading until you are done.
In this second book there are so many things happening that at some point you roll your eyes and say "ohhh come on" and in the other hand you're like "ohhhh myyyy goooood i tottally had never seen this coming!"
There are parts in the book were you don't understand whats going on and there are many wholes in the story and there are still many things that are not explained .
I truly can't figure out how this is going to go and i can't wait to read more and see how this story will end for all of them.
Stone Angels- 5 strs
I was given an ARC by the author in exxchange for an honest review.
As this story progresses it gets better and better!!!!
Action packed and awesome characters that as the books progress they develop as well this book misses nothing.
There are still some wholes in the plot and at places you struggle o understand what is going on or how things happened or how we got to be where we are but the book is so addictive that keeps you reading.
The book might be lenthy but it keeps you hooked into its pages. I loved it and can't wait to see what wil happen next!
I have reviewed all three of these books separately so I'm adding a review to this collection. Great books that I found addictive.
Primani - this is the first book in the series and focuses on Mica, a psychic, who has an important destiny ahead of her and Sean her Primani protector who has to keep her alive no matter what happens. I loved this book and just wanted to know more when I got to the end. I loved the relationships between all the characters and development of Mica into someone with special skills and talents. I felt almost as heartbroken as her at the end.
Call the lightening - in the second book the team are trying to recover from the end of the previous book when the demon Dagin has them under sustained attack and Killian does what he thinks is best and takes her off to his own private world. In doing more to protect her he awakens ancient things that he thought was never going to happen. I thought this was a great book and a fitting follow on from book one After reading book one I HAD to read book two in the series. I was not disappointed. Mica's powers are developing nicely and she is still getting more than her fair share of sorrow. I'm starting to feel sorry for her now - she definitely needs a break.
Stone Angels - Sean seems to have lost his mind and is very violent and unstable. Mica is trying to do everything she can to save him even though it takes her away from Killian. In the end Killian has to gamble that Mica will save Sean, that Sean will act in an honourable way, and that Mica will come back to him because of their love. Definitely as good as the first book. Poor Sean - I ended up crying at how bad things got for him. I loved the way the story developed and how Mica was growing into her talents.
This is one of my favorite series. I was hooked from book one and have read them all. The characters are so well written and I connected with Mica. She goes thru so many changes during the series. I am not going to run it for you but she experiences such great joy and tragedy. The men of the series are complicated. They live a very different kind of life and love was not supposed to be in their future. The four of them form a really strong bond that bends and twists with all the challenges they face.
I did not find the stories to move slowly. I thought the author took the right amount of time to develop the characters and create a compelling story. Some authors rush to put out a new book too soon and rush the process. Laurie Olerich takes the time needed to deliver a well-written story with interesting storylines.
I received copies of the books in return for reviews when they were initially released.
This series has everything, suspense, romance, action! You will love every page of these books, you will be on the edge of your seat, and fall in love with the characters! Laurie Olerich creates a new supernatural world that you won't want to leave!
