'The Last Gatekeeper' is the first novel in 'The Chronicles of Kane' series and my THIRD charming novel by Katy Haye. Having accidentally read the sequel in the series first, I can most assuredly say that you can read either novel in this series as standalones. I was not crazy about the INSTALOVE at the beginning, but it played out nicely, and by the end, you are totally rooting for Zan and Thanriel.
