Shelves: loved-it
This is the first book I've read by this author. Although it's the second book in the series it can be read as a standalone.

Remy Borden is a race car driver. She's a fabulous strong main character. Her determination to be a successful race car driver is portrayed so well. We've got a murder mystery weaved through the story. The author certainly kept me on my toes guessing who was the murderer.

Refreshing unique storyline for me which I loved. Read this story in one sitting. Loved it. Looking fo

Deadly Race is the second installment to Feuer’s Deadly Series and focuses on Remy and Jackson. In my honest opinion I’d have to say Elke Feuer has a hit on her hands with this series. This addition to the series is just as entertaining as the first. It’s fast paced, action packed, suspenseful, keeps you turning page after page to find out who done it, and has a sexual chemistry between the hero and heroine that just sizzles. You could cut the sexual tension between these two with a knife. Ms. F ...more

Deadly Race by Elke Fueur
Elke Fueur does it again with “Deadly Race”! I was pleased to read this book, as I thoroughly enjoyed her book, “Deadly Bloodlines”. Once again, she introduces us to an amazingly strong female character, named Remy Borden. She is both a school teacher and a race-car driver. She lives in Cayman, and the accents and her descriptions of her island are breathtaking.
The story begins with a race that takes Remy to the ER for injuries to her ribs, after a crash that resulted in

Deadly Race started with a woman race car driver, which I love, (Danica Patrick is from my home town) and continued to keep my attention with murder, mayhem, love, and a stalker. I was able to put some of the clues together and some of the clues led me the wrong direction, keeping me guessing. I was very wrong about who the stalker was and that was a good thing. I guessed who was causing all the problems at the race track and had a good idea who the killer was. When a book keeps me on my toes an ...more

Elke Feuer writes in a clear, accessible style. Her inspector Angel Mason who was the main protagonist in her first of the Deadly Series also appears in this novel but not as main character. Feisty, go-getter Remy Borden is the star in Book 2.
Remy is determined to be not only the first Cayman woman race driver to win a race but she also has her hopes on racing internationally. However, her obstacles are more than having to win a race: leaving behind a man she really likes and her family as well

I liked the idea and think the result could be improved. Like so many times in indie lit, many, many typos. I know I'm a pain with them, but they throw you off sometimes. An out-of-place "-ed" after a verb changes the time and makes you wonder: when did it happen? After a couple of checking out, it cannot be anything but a mistake. The heroine is thinking about it, it may happen in the future, but certainly not yet.
The story is about a young woman living in the Caiman Islands, sassy and witty, b

This is the first time that I have read any of this author’s books and it will not be my last! I did enjoy the racetrack setting of the book, what a bunch of characters that hang around the racetrack in this book! I also love the fact that this story was set in the Caribbean, who wouldn’t want to at least vacation if not live there. The exchanges between Jackson and Remy were interesting, I really was not sure at all what would happen between them and the author did a good job developing the lov ...more

Remy is a sassy, outspoken girl that loves to race cars and her dream is to be a US sponsored race car driver. A dream that is treading rocky water when the owner of the Race track in the Cayman Islands ends up dead and she ends up at the top of of the suspect list. Not only does she have to fight to prove her innocence, the hot doctor Jackson, who gets put in charge of the making sure the racers are fit to drive proves to be her biggest challenge of them all. Jackson is not her usual type of gu ...more

An exciting book! Elke either has experience as a race-car driver, or she's done thorough research because she makes you feel as though you're on the racetrack. Not only is that part of the book great, but she interweaves a wonderful romantic story into the book, making it twice as enjoyable. She even adds a little medical knowledge. It is obvious she knows her subject and writes a real page-turner. Highly recommended. I forgot to mention that I won this book from GoodReads, and am certainly gla ...more

This book was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review. Remy is not your typical race car driver, she's a strong woman who has decided to take on a man's world. However after an accident Remy hasdoctor jackson to look over her. The story quickly falls into true romance / forgotten love story. However in the end everything works out the author did a great job combining the racing world with a real life. There were a few spots of repetition as well as hearing I love you after one ...more

Ooh, what a quick but intense read! The mystery starts off right away, and just climbs from there. Much like in Deadly Bloodlines, I wasn’t sure who was behind everything, and the ending had me surprised. Just when you think everything is wrapped up – it isn’t. Remy was a great character to stand behind, a tough woman who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she wants and believes in. This is especially the case when it comes to her love life, and I found that refreshing to

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Remy Borden is a race car driver in the Cayman Islands, and is determined to be the first female international racer. When the track owner is murdered shortly after sidelining Remy after an accident. Remy becomes the prime suspect, and teams up with Dr. Jackson Wilson to solve the crime.

This was my first book by this author. Overall, I thought the story kept the mystery going. I found myself speculating who was the killer th
