Set in 1924 New York City, Kathy Briscow is an editor for Frank Selby. When he ends up dead, murdered, Kathy becomes the number one suspect. She is determined to clear her name and find the real killer. Kathy is editing the book by Freddie Little, he thinks he knows who killed Selby so the two team up to try to solve this mystery.

This is a charming little mystery with a well-researched historical setting and a delightful pair of protagonists. She's a young Irish-American woman living on her own in 1920's New York - an editor trying to be taken seriously in a man's profession. He's a rich socialite who has written a novel that shockingly exposes the vices of his social class and promises to be a hot property. Fascinating Rhythm is a mystery set in 1924 New York during Prohibition. The author did a wonderful job with her research and brought the era and the characters to life.
