I loved the story... if your looking for a Soprano's fix that's set in the 1920's, you'll love this book too.

This was a really well written book, with genuine characters and rich story development. I loved the main character, Pete, and I found him to be very likable. He "walks the line" so to speak, trying to stay good and true to himself, while enmeshed in the company of mobster, "Lucky". Suddenly, it's hard to tell who's bad and who's good, and he just gets deeper and deeper in the world of crime...and the story gets heavy with actions and thrills. I enjoyed the dialogue and loved the realness of the ...more

I thought this was an amazing book. Being from New Jersey and knowing a little about the history behind the little town of Garfield. The story line kept me at the edge of my seat I cant wait to see what is next. Cant wait for the movie

The Four Corners - a Sicilian Story is an enjoyable read that I could not put down. The characters were richly developed with believable character traits and the dialogue was not only entertaining but was fun and well crafted.

The main character, Pete Carissimo is a likeable guy, big, beefy and beloved by his community. Although Pete is not a gangster like his good friend Lucky Luciano, he walks a might close to the edge to stay legitimate. He becomes embroiled in some bootlegging when he agrees

The Four Corners, a Sicilian Story is a wonderful debut novel by the equally wonderful Peter Cimino. The story of powerful Big Pete Carissimo is a memorable gangster story that felt so 'real-to-life’ on every page. I was very pleased with how exciting these characters were, as if Mr. Cimino drew upon real people that he knew. The main character quickly gets wrapped up into life as a gangster and it’s a thrilling ride to follow as Pete struggles to find his way. Thanks for a great read!
