A Bridge Through Time was completely enchanting! While I don't have a lot of experience in time travel books and I've never read a Highlander book, I easily found myself addicted to the story. Especially since there was a sprinkling of magic here and there. This book was so much fun and I'm excited to try more books by Jennae Vale!
Ashley realized she was staring at him again, as if he were an apparition, and shook her head impatiently. “It’s nothing really. My name is Ashley, by the way.

Nope. I didn't get far into this book, but I already know how it's going to go. Every single word I've read has been so predictable and such a clishé. I wish the author would at least be consistant.
First she says that when he looked at her, she felt beautiful and desireable, words she certaily would not use to describe herself any other time. Then, barely a page later "her beautiful brown eyes moved back to look at..." Seriously? You JUST described her as nothing much to look at, and specified
It was okay but I lost interest halfway and read the last chapter and the epilogue... >.<

In A Bridge through Time, we meet Ashley Moore, who has hit a few rough spots in life, and who starts seeing a mysterious man all of the sudden. She starts to wonder if she’s losing her mind, or if the man is real. Her quest leads her to Scotland, where she crosses a time-warp bridge and ends up in sixteenth-century Scotland. There she meets Cailin MacBayne, a handsome man who although no stranger to women, has for so

I really enjoyed "A Bridge Through Time. It is a pleasantly surprising light heart and predictable time travel fantasy romance.

Ashley Moore is losing her mind. She keeps dreaming and seeing vision of a grey man. Ashley has just broken up with her boyfriend Dax. She decides to travel to Scotland being pulled by the vision the the grey eyed Scot. She is staying at a Inn The Thistle and Hive run by Edna Campbell a Witch!!

I loved Edna and all the characters in the story. Once Jenna crosses a foggy
Omg, so cheesy. The summary had potential but the reality was too much to bear. Every interaction between characters was cheesy and shallow.. (Shallow as in it lacked any real depth or genuine feeling).. It was just bad. Ina related side note, I can't stand when it's narrated in the main characters voice but then they like describe themselves as beautiful.. For example this is in the voice of Ashly, but one chapter starts with her beautiful amber eyes filled with tears.. So if that was out loud ...more

I really enjoyed this time traveler book. I haven't read one in a while and this one while a bit odd at times was very well done. I thought the characters, the way they spoke, carried themselves and all was done very well.

It was an easy fun read with some steamy parts added into it. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

I would recommend this if you are looking for an easy read, that doesn't get you too emotionally wrapped up and is entertaining.

When I first read the description of this book I was captivated by the idea of the storyline. The cover was also a key factor that caught my eye drawing me to the possibility of discovering a new author. Once I started reading the story, I began to get a sense of disappointment but continued on, hoping that I would be sucked into the characters, the time period and the overall romance. For me this book missed its mark. I felt like I was always on the surface of a really good book, but the author ...more

Pleasant enough.

Ashley Moore's life hasn't been going so well recently. Her boyfriend dumped her and she has no job. She has been having some strange dreams of a grey eyed man. A very good looking man. She is an orphan and financially independent so she decides to take a needed vacation. For some reason she is drawn to Scotland and, once there, follows her instincts which lead her to the village of Glendaloch. Once there she goes hiking and crosses a bridge which has a strange must hovering over

I actually listened to the audible version of this book. This book is another 'Outlander Lite' story. We meet a young woman who is seeing a man, then he disapears. She finally follows him from America to Scotland. There she rents a room and is taken under the wing of the kindly inn keepers wife. When she goes on a picnic, everything she could ever need is packed with her by the kind woman,as if she knows what the outcome will be.It is a fun story and a good read.
Paul Woodson narrates this beautifully.H

If we read fiction to escape into other worlds, then Jennae Vale has written an intriguing world tailor-made for just such an escape. Like her protagonist, Ashley, we are initially teased with the elusive image of a handsome stranger, then led from America to Scotland only to be lured across a mist-veiled bridge into danger, romance, and life in a remote Scottish castle with one catch—it’s the sixteenth century. Readers who loved Diana Gabaldon will enjoy this entertaining tale with its lovable ...more

Time travel + highlander = brilliant read!

I adore time travel stories set in Scotland and this one did not disappoint! Amazing characters, good descriptive scenes, unique interesting story, with love, romance and of course fighting because duh it's the 16th century highlands! Highly recommend reading!!

Dear God this book is awful.

I hate to give this a lower rating because I like the couple in this story more than probably any time travel romance I've ever read, BUT...(deep breath)

It's really weird. Like, Ashley herself is *kind of* her own antagonist, but she doesn't even give herself a good run for her money. She gets interesting once - when she sees Cailin hugging a beautiful blonde that turns out to be his friend - and kind of storms off. We had an opportunity there for action and - HE
This was a very good book about Ashley Moore, who has lost her job, and her boyfriend. She begins to have visions of a man, who is a highlander, right out, of the history books. She decides to follow her heart, and since her parents are both deceased, and she has a trust to live off of, she makes a rash decision for herself. She follows her feelings, and heads to Scotland. Her intuition just seems to lead her, and the vision appears more life like the farther she goes. She finally stops for the ...more

Book is fun read with impractical female character. She is type who has always been upper class & had cushions in life but thinks falsely she knows how to survive & live roughly. There are very few person with that life experiences & false ideas of what real survival & rough living is that would make it in midevil world. This character seems to be some what reasonable for story line. Good thing poor little rich girls only get Lords falling for them. Yeah, LOL! A more realistic time travel would ...more

A love story across time

Absolutely wonderful story of finding love across time. For quite some time, Ashley'd been seeing images of a breathtakingly handsome man, in her dreams and when she was wide awake. A host of changes in Ashley's life sent her on a trip to Scotland where she knew this strange man might be found. Drawn to places she'd never known, she embarks on a life changing journey that would take her 500 years in the past to find the man of her visions and love of her life. Adventure

This was a very enjoyable book. I am so happy for Ashley and Caitlin. The way the book flows is so true to life. Reading this you would think this was a true story. Loved it!

Really enjoyed this book, nothing happened very surprising but it was an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon! The characters were great and the description of them was good however they could have been flushed a little further -perhaps they will be in the series. I loved the bridge and got idea, that seemed to be an original idea and the inn caretakers were lovely. I am anxious to get to the next book!!!

Everything in a book you could want.

Jennae Vale has written a story jam packed with the lot. A feisty heroine, a sexy knee melting hero, villains and a healthy dose of time traveling.

I adore tales of time travels and history and this ranks up with the very best.

The one and only issue I have is I wanted more. Its brilliant

A Bridge Through Time

This is a nice time travel romance set in Scotland. Both the hero and heroine have old hurts and a battle they have to overcome in order to be together in historical Scotland. There are plenty of other characters whose stories I need to read. Looking forward to reading them.

A Peek of Medieval Scotland!

A great read! The story was great and exciting. The scottish accent made it hard to understand some words, though. In the first few chapters, I had to adjust to the way the characters talk. At around chapter 10, it became easier to understand their words.

Overall, it's an awesome story ☺

Finding My Dream Man

Jennae Vale does a marvelous job of creating a believable story of traveling back to the 1500’s. “A Bridge Through Time” is actually a bridge through time, given all the correct circumstances. Stupendous! Engaging! Family! War! & Love! A truly wonderful step back in time. Take time for this engaging tale.

Oh I so enjoyed this story very, very much. It is nothing like Outlander so don't think it is; as I have read both.

It has a lot of twist and turns , mystery, and suspense, and yes of course romance, and is written very well. I love time travel stories and this fits well with what I like.

Jennae Vale is a new author for me and I am so happy I found her.
