Nora Roberts’ novel is the wickedly dramatic conclusion to The Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy, a series set around the Dark Witches of Mayo and their quest to bring an end to the evil reign of the dark sorcerer Cabhan. It first began with the story of Iona Sheehan, the young American who journeys to Ireland in search of her roots, and then secondly focused on Connor O’Dwyer as he comes to grips with two of the strongest powers he’s ever dark magick and true love. The third and final chapter surrounds Branna O’Dwyer, the Dark Witch of Mayo, a conjurer of dark magick who must find a way to destroy the evil Cabhan once and for all.

This series was absolutely brilliant! This was book 3 in the series, it was bitter sweet to finish it, as I selfishly wanted more on their lives after they broke the curse on Fin. Fin lost the evil mark on him after he broke the curse, and it became the Celtic trinity knot, for the three. Fin was finally freed from Cabhan's mark, and could follow his heart with Brana. Nora Roberts smoothly takes you back in time to the Ireland of old, where the current three Dark Mayo witches interact with their counterparts, or the 3 original ancestral mayo witches. Nora paints such a brilliant picture of Ireland you feel as if you are there. This series is definitely 5 stars for me. I'm a huge Nora Roberts fan, I don't think she's ever written a book I didn't love. Well done!
The ending needed an epilogue. After all that the characters went through it would have been nice for the story to end after the couples were married and Brianna and Fin sent a message saying they were in the tropics or that they were expecting. The story was good and Brianna and Fin finally get together. All of the characters you meet in the first two stories are in this story and help out in the end.
This is Branna's and Fin's story. Madly in love when they were young, Branna distanced herself from Fin after the mark of Cabhan showed up on his shoulder, the result of a curse and spell by Sorcha and her young daughter, Teagan. But they need to work together, since Fin carries Cabhan's blood in him, and it may be useful to defeating him. And something that neither of them knew, until one of Fin's dreams sent him back in time to speak with Sorcha.
Repetitive. Could have been two books, but was stretched into three. Waaaay too much detailed, repetitive, drawn out descriptions, conversations and menus. I did not need a blow by blow description of what they had to eat at every meal. Dragged.
