This is an excellent primer on critical reasoning, taking the reader from the building blocks of an argument and an introduction to deductive and inductive reasoning, over the basics of propositional logic, and finally to a discussion of logical fallacies and analysis of complex arguments, with plenty of exercises and examples along the way.

I read this as the set text to an eponymous online course, but the e-book provides links to publicly available podcasts, and to many other excellent resource

I read this book because it was a set text for an online course I'm taking. For a complete novice such as my self, this book has been a tremendous help in introducing and expounding the key concepts of Logic. It starts off very easy and steady giving you the basics and before you know it you've grasped ideas you thought were beyond you.
