The second in the Chasing Fire series, about a pain too deep to forgive and a passion too hot to forget…

Alessandra Sinclair knows that Hudson Chase is the last man she should want. The boy from the wrong side of the tracks has grown into a man who would do anything to get ahead, even if it means breaking Allie’s heart. But whenever she’s near him, the attraction between th

She knew the man, not the corporate myth. He was the one she'd fallen for. He was the one who'd broken her heart.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not really a trilogy girl. I have never really read a trilogy where the main couple consumed me in such a way that I was itching for more of them, and yet somehow these two authors have managed that feat. Not only did I enjoy Release Me, I loved it even more than the first. Yeah. I'll give you a moment to absorb that.

Hudson Chase and Alessandra Sinclair’s tumultuous story continues in this book about pain, lust and love full of erotic imagery and decadently sexiness.

Alessandra has decided to take control of her life, no longer feeling obligated to her family. But a horrible tragedy has forced her to work jointly with the only man she’s ever loved. The same man that shattered her heart and broke her trust. The boy with whom she connected with a decade ago and has grown to into an undeniably attractive man

It’s been quite while since my last mogul romance and there has been some great reviews for this new trilogy by Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers so I thought I would give it a go.

I was in the mood for an alpha hero and the set up here just strung a chord in me. Second chance at love, once dirt poor hero becomes a powerful business man… Hmmm, yes!
Although trilogies are not something I’m going for anymore, I still felt like this one could fulfil

WHOA!! RELEASE ME reminds me why I love reading contemporary romance. And of course with Mr. David Gandy as the inspiration for the character of Hudson Chase, well, that’s a home run for me (confession time: I pretty much cast David Gandy as the inspiration for almost every book I read!) And Hudson Chase literally fills every scene he is in. Such a complex character, domineering and cold in most areas of his life but warm, sexy and loving with Alessandra. I loved the duality of his nature.

I really enjoyed the first book in the Chasing Fire series by Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers. As debut novels go it was a real success to me as a reader. I love all kinds of book boyfriend types, and Hudson Chase is one of my favorites. He was a bad boy who turned his life around after he lost the girl he was in love with. He became uber successful in the business world through hard work and I’m sure some ruthlessness. He’s a strong character who is confident…some may say arrogant, he can al ...more

Wow! This was intense, emotional, and unbelievably hot! Loved it!

This book starts where Remind Me leaves off and I love the tension and animosity between Allie and Hudson. They are such great characters. You can feel the pull they have towards one another and I really got caught up in it. I loved the build of them coming together and moving forward, it was so fantastic! Wanting something but having to forgive, it just made for this full story that was detailed and descriptive. I was completely

Book 2 in the Chasing Fire series, which centres around a second-chance romance between two people that fell in love as teenagers, only to be reunited seven years after they last saw each other. This trilogy is one continuous story, so make sure you read book 1 - Remind Me first. And be aware that this review may be a little spoilery, but I’ll try to keep it vague.

This book picks the story up immediately where the last one finished. Allie and Hudson are apart, and she is incredibly hurt

I AM EMOTIONALLY EXHAUSTED.

Release Me puts you through an emotional wringer that will have you twisting, turning & screaming. My particular scream sounded like ‘Holy Fuck!’, but you know, that’s just me. The second in the trilogy, this book is a marathon of slick sex, hot kisses and deep emotion. The way this story is written garners the same feelings that I have for my beloved Gideon. I don’t usually compare book boyfriends….oh wait, yes I do. And here, I can easily say

Hudson and Allie are one of my favorite couples. I loved this book more than the first. I can't wait for the third book. I will just have to reread the first 2 and let Hudson's passion distract me while I wait.
My full review will post release day.

Ok so Allie discovers her parents dead and she is no longer with Hudson *gasp* but as the story continues Allie is now co CEO with Hudson. Although she is avoiding him as much as possible she can't seem to forget him or the the past times they spent together which was super sweet.

"The sight of him nearly took her breath away. Wearing a charcoal suit, white shirt, and silver-gray tie, he looked every bit the powerful, in-control CEO. But Allie knew the p

I simply cannot GUSH enough about this book and this series. It has every element of what I consider a great read; part mystery, part romance, fabulous characters that are all wrapped up in a sensual second chance love story. The writing duo Ann Marie Walker and Amy K Rogers have hit that sweet spot. The story line is driven by an intriguing plot played out with well formed and dynamic characters featuring billionaire alpha man Hudson Chase and his first and only lo

Ann Marie Walker has me hooked with this series.

At the end of REMIND ME, Ally had suffered the ultimate betrayal (or at least what she thought was). She discovered Hudson's company was on the verge of taking over her family's media empire, leaving her feeling used and unable to trust him. So when RELEASE ME opens with an event so unexpected, I had to wonder where the author was going to take us.

This second installment in the CHASING FIRE series is even better than the first. Hudson is a wonderfully sexy, playful, and seductive hero. Hudson is determined to get what he wants from Allie and when Hudson sets his mind to seduction Allie doesn't stand a chance. Hudson is sexily persuasive with a wicked sense of humor. His dialogue is written with such clear inflection of smirkiness that I found myself smiling while reading because I could vividly imagine what that sexy snark would sound lik ...more

So, I am such a dork. I didn't realize when I requested this book that it was book 2 in a series. I have to admit, I was a little worried once I realized that I was jumping straight into book 2. But as I started reading, I realized I was worried for nothing. I didn't really have trouble following along at all. And to me, that was a good thing!

Release Me is sexy and intriguing with a little bit of mystery and danger sprinkled in along the way. I loved the connection between Hudson and Allie. Huds

So this is the second book in the series, and honestly you have to read the first book before reading this one, you would just be missing out on way to much if you don’t. So while I liked the first book in the series, I have to say I think this one inched its way forward just enough for me to say I liked this one more. This is the second book in the Chasing Fire series and it’s just as great as the first book! I commended the authors when I reviewed the first book for their choice of basing the character Hudson on the gorgeous model David Gandy. I had a good laugh when I read the dedication page and their message to him. You really can’t go wrong when you use such a beautiful man as the template for a character as complex as Hudson.
In the last book Alessandra’s life changed irrevocably. She discovered some ver

I gotta admit I wasn't a huge fan of Remind Me but when I got the chance to review this one I said yes because the end cliffhanger did make me want to find out what happened. However, once I started to read this I took a blank on what happened in the first book which confirms why I didn't love it to start with.

I am pretty much gushing about this series to anyone who will listen! I've emailed, texted, Facebooked, Tweeted and raved to anyone who seems even remotely interested. The Chasing Fire Series is absolutely FANTASTIC! Release Me sort-of starts where Remind Me left off, but with a twist! Allie had plans to regain control of her life at the end of Book #1, but those plans are quickly blown apart in a terrible discovery that rocks her world. With this shocking turn of events, Allie finds herself fac ...more

This book pick off right where the book nr 1 Remind Me ended. I was a bit pissed off that our happy couple didn’t get their happy ending in the last book but there had to be something to read about in this book right? :)

In this book our characters, Hudson and Alessandra, are on the opposite but still on the same side, she just needed a little time to realize it. Hudson is chasing after her begging for a chance to explain his actions that he lied about and Alessandra is running as far as she can

Review by Trinette Dungee

Based on the synopsis of this book I thought I would really like it or possibly love it (I really did want to love it). Unfortunately it didn’t hit “the spot” for me. In all fairness this is book 2 of a series and I didn’t read book one. I think to fully enjoy Release Me you should read Remind Me. There are just too many unanswered questions about Hudson and Alessandra’s relationship.

The book starts off as a mysterious “who done it” when Alessandra comes to her parents’

The second book from the Chasing Fire series, this book started with bang. Like, close to a literal bang. That was something that I did not see coming at all. What happened at the very start of this book will eventually define the rest of this book.

There is no getting enough of Hudson Chase! Welcome to the club of Christians, Jesses, Ryans, etc, Mr Chase. At one point or another, I had thought: Please not another sexy scene. I couldn't take one more. But Hudson and Allie just kept at it and more

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

Having read the first in the series, I was delighted when this arrived on my Kindle, but also nervous, as it is the middle book in the trilogy, so there is inevitably more angst to come ... so I did spend a while wondering when and how - it was brilliantly done, and I need the finale asap (please note Ms Walker & Ms Rodgers !)

After the dramatic ending of the first book, we are plummeted straight into the nightmare that Al

I didn't want it to end!

Great second installment to this trilogy. Allie & Hudson's lives have changed drastically since the first book. They are now trying to wade through a new relationship while running a company together & grieving for loved ones. The book ends in a bit of a cliffhanger. Can't wait for Reclaim Me!

Ann Marie Walker writes steamy books about sexy boys. She's a fan of fancy cocktails, anything chocolate, and 80s rom-coms. Her super power is connecting any situation to an episode of Friends and she thinks all coffee cups should be the size of a bowl.
