She can’t utter those once magical words, “I love us”, even though she still desperately feels them. It’s that love that forces her to leave.

The worst thing is, Brody can’t know why. If he discovers what Finley has

“Deep inside, I know that if I told him the truth, he would love me through it. The truth is, I can’t love myself through it.”

In preparation for Amy Daws' new book release for That One Moment I have decided to go back and read all the London Lovers books I haven't checked out before. At the end of last year I fell in love with Not The One and I was more than happy to dive into A Broken Us. You could say I was curious to see how Finley and Bro

I enjoyed this one much more than the prequel.

Although it was an angsty read, it was a good angst that kept me on my toes. My only issue is that I've read this storyline before in a KA and although the execution was totally different, I experienced the same frustration in this that I felt reading the KA version - just tell him ffs! Grrr.

That said, I enjoyed this.

Thanks to the lovely Amy for my review copy. I hope you enjoyed the curly whirlies ;-)

Okay,Okay I don’t even know where to start with this one my emotions are everywhere right now. I’m frustrated and giddy and confused all at once and I’m not sure what my feelings really are but I’m going to try to summarize my feelings.

I’ve been putting off reading this book for a few days now. To be fair I was expecting a really deep book that would be really hard to want to read and continue with the book because of all of the feels. In the sense that I would be feeling so much that I would ha

Never be sorry for pain. Pain is what makes the good stuff good. It makes us appreciate the wonderful stuff.

A Broken Us is a beautiful story that from the moment I began reading to the moment I finished, it had me on an emotional rollercoaster. This book is also a story about pain, and finding a way to survive that pain. It is a story about two people who truly are soul mates that were meant to be together for all of time. All that quickly changes the moment

Wow... A Broken Us kicks you in the gut right from the first chapter.

Finley (Fin) and Brody have a wonderful love, a love for the ages. An "us" that cannot be broken.

But as the title suggest, it does get broken - and it will break the reader at the same time.

Once I started reading I could not put it down. From the heartbreaking start right through to the last word I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster, taken through every high a

So I didn't know what was going to happen in this story- but from the title, I kind of figured that something bad was going to happen from the beginning and it certainly did.

Finley gets a diagnosis from her doctor that changes her world and turns it upside down. Finley realizes that she will never be able to give Brody what she thinks they both badly want. Instead of Brody bolting, it's Fin who leaves.

Fin takes off to London to try to forget the l

This is part two in Finley and Brody's story but in actual fact this book came first and then the prequel was written. I'm glad i was able to read the series this way around, as I felt more connected to the characters especially Brody. Amy has an unique talent for writing the most angst filled books but lacing them with some great loud out loud moments - pure genius !

The end of book 1 left us with a cliffy. Book 2 continues straight after Finley has received some earth shattering news, news she

I felt a lot of GAHs, and also sobbed a bunch of sobs. And there were also some solid LOLs. And there's a 25783000000% chance I cheered a lil at the end. But I think my most common feeling I felt was the incredibly strong urge to jump inside my kindle and shake the crap outta Finley. Because NO FINLEY STHAP THAT!!!!!

The emotional roller coaster Finley went through hit really close to home, so I desperately wanted to cuddle her and tell her everything was going to be perfect, skip all the heart

After reading and loving Becoming Us, the first book in this series and seeing how it ended I was pretty sure I wouldn't like A Broken Us as much. I was sure I would start hating Fin though I was hopeful the author would write it in a way that that didn't happen. Unfortunately that is exactly what happened. After falling in love with Brody in book one I really don't understand how Fin could do everything she does in this book. I just didn't get

The story starts with Finlay leaving her boyfriend, Brody, after 5 years together when she discovers that she can't have children. She is convinced that he will leave her as soon as he finds out, and thinks that he deserves so much more out of life and to have children of his own, so she leaves him. She doesn't tell him why, or where she is going, but moves from America to London to be with her best friend Leslie.

The Story:

Finley has the perfect life, well perfect for her. Committed to a man who loves 'us,' an irreplaceable entity that came to fruition when the two met at university. They have been inseparable since.

Soon after meeting, they entered a commitment, that we might say is similar to marriage, but they don't believe in the 'old' sacrament, so they just commit fully to the 'us.' Each moment spent together makes the bond stronger. They understand each other, everything about them and their lives

I had read Amy Daws memoir, Chasing Hope, and I absolutely loved the book. I normally don't read memoirs, but I read this one. And I'm glad I did because I got introduced to an emotional, epic, gut churning, ugly crying kind of story. It captivated me and I felt like I was going through the experience with her. I truly felt like a part of her life at that time. It was amazing.

I absolutely loved this story! Ms. Daws' writing is a delight to read. It will have you so entertained you will not put it down. Her writing takes you on a journey of a young girl facing life and when her future changes due to bad news. It is so deep that you will fall in love with these characters and feel every emotion they face. Finley is in love but a five year relationship with Brody is on the line. There is no tender beginning for A Broken Us by Amy Daws. The heartache begins from the moment her pen hit the page. In Amy Daw’s debut contemporary romance, Finley’s picture-perfect world gets pummeled when she gets a hard dose of reality from her doctor that changes everything.

Finley’s life plan takes a sudden turn when she realizes that she will never be able to give Brody the baby that they have tried so hard to make. Instead of facing it head on with his help, Fin runs, breaking Brody’s hea

4 stars but really 4 tears

This book was an emotional roller coaster for me. I was all over the place, laughing, screaming, crying and then doing them all over again. I felt I understood why Finley did what she did. As women we are expected to be able to provide certain things in a relationship; when we are lacking, it causes us grief and heartache. But I also saw Brody’s side when it was all out in the open. Love is a powerful thing and self doubt can be even worse.

When I read book 1 I was happy that Finley found Brody and they were happy and in love with "us" after everything that happened with Jake and of course the book had to end with a major cliffhanger. Book 2 was a major disappointment to me in so many ways to the point that I basically would slam my kindle reading the crap that Finley did in this book. First of all if you are so in love with a beautiful man and have been together for 5 freaking years that you can always feel the love Brody has for ...more

I liked this book. It was sweet, fun, angsty, drama filled, and had quite a few laugh out loud moments. This book also had some steam to go along with it. This book is about one girl on a soul searching adventure where she tries to find herself and how she learns to believe and trust in love again.

Finlay and Brody have been together for five years and the love they have for each other is strong and pure. For them, saying “I love us” is much more than “I love you”. They see each other as one entity and not individuals. They have always dreamed of a family so when Finlay receives news from the doctor that this will be impossible, she decides to leave Brody.

Finlay decides to move to London and live with her best friend. She doesn’t tell Brody where or why she’s leaving and he’s left devastat

I was crying with the first chapter of this book. The way the author told the story of Brody and Finley was breathtaking at times.

Finley and Brody have an amazing love, it's not I Love You, it is I LOVE US. But Finley goes to the doctor, only receive news that will make any women feel less of a woman. The one thing that both Brody and Fin want is a mini US. Finley receives news that she cannot have babies and this totally destroy

Fin & Brody have a great love and a dream of fulfilling their dreams with a baby of their own. Fin leaves Brody when she finds out she can’t have a baby because she feels guilty for not completing “us”. “Us” is the term that Fin & Brody use with each other instead of saying “you”. I love you is instead I love us. (This puts additional meaning into the title of the book). Though I did inwardly struggle with how possessive some of the men in this book can be, many women find it to be an endearing ...more

I actually found myself thinking about the characters when I wasn't even reading!!! I was addicted. The two main characters don't follow the typical "love is so easy" route that most books portray, this couple struggles with real life issues....just like everyone in the real world.
