The book has a good idea, but focuses too much on the web UI parts.

It's explicitly said that it's intended for developers, but if that's so - it should focus more on the terminal side and introduce Git.

Bardzo krótka książka i raczej dla tych, którzy mają małą styczność z programowaniem, chociaż GitHub nie jest tylko dla programistów, co się dowiedziałem z tej książki. Obrazki i skorowidz wypełniają dużą część. Jest to raczej pozycja dla osób, które nie miały nigdy styczności z Git i Githubem i chcą zobaczyć co to jest. Myślę, że na internecie więcej informacji znajdą.

It was alright, if you have used GitHub before you won't learn anything new. I suppose its a testament to GitHub's great UI, but I feel like almost all of the things that the author took great pains to explain in depth just didn't need explaining. Things like editing a README file or looking at graphs get several pages, while more interesting topics like webhooks and the GitHub API only get mentioned in passing.

Bottom line: this is a book for managers, not developers.

This book explains the very basic features of GitHub. I found it too basic and got more from just trying things on the GitHub webpage. Half of this book is screenshots anyway. But the authors did warn about all this in the title as well as the intro, so I shouldn't complain. It was OK.

Like the title said. It's an introduction, not anymore. You don't find nothing special inside of the book. If you wait something like cheat sheet or easy path. You don't find it here. The book is easy to read and understand

Useful quick introduction to GitHub. Much of the book is actually screen shots, which leads me to think it might be better done as an explainer video. Checking out the Linda tutorial next. We'll see how that compares.
