We sadly have to admit we struggled to begin with reading Blindsided however we decided to keep going and it did get better but we finally had to call it a day around 60%. We realise we are in the minority considering the reviews out there but it just didn't work for us. We were unable to connect with the heroine whose behaviour and personality was very over the top, childish and extreme. We loved the Aunty and to a certain extent Corey but there was no real story so it was hard to get

I must be in the minority because I had to make myself read this far. I just didn't connect with the characters at all... They were both conceited spoiled brats. Ugh. I didn't even finish it

Worst heroine ever

Well, maybe not, but I truly cannot think of a female protagonist that I disliked as much as this one.

First just let me say that I'm giving two stars for the simple fact that I did read it. The reason for finishing this book was for the sole purpose of finding out if there is a reason for the way this chick acts, and there was never one revealed. I think the author might have tried to pass off a couple of excuses, but they were so terribly lame it just made liking this female c

Just because it's that time of year and the playoffs are hot and heavy for the best in the leagues, I thought a football themed romance was a good ticket. The game started off with some good passes and it looked like maybe a good game was in the making. But it takes a whole team to make it to the winner's circle. Here, a lot of the plays were a bit weak, some fell short of the goal line, and a few fumbles by our quarterback kept this game just out of reach. Even the lovely cheerleader was a Debb ...more

This is the second book I've read by Emma Hart, the first one being Dirty Secret. I absolutely LOVED Dirty Secret and Conner Burke. That being said I was super excited to get my hands on Blindsided. Unfortunately I have to give this 3 1/2 stars. The reason being there were a lot of errors, I can usually look past a lot of stuff. But it was hard in this one because it was sentences being repeated and broke up the flow. Things that an editor and beta readers should've caught instantly. I generally ...more

I wanted to love this book. I really really did. It had so many elements that I love. Touches of humor, football, hot football players, a woman who loves football, etc.

But it just fell flat for me. It's not a bad book. Emma Hart can write well and that alone carries a lot. But the story just didn't work for me.

Couple reasons why.
1) I felt no connection to the couple. I just wasn't rooting for them. Corey was such a dick for most of the first half of the book. It took him until like 60%

I was looking forward to reading this book - I have been in a bit of a slump and just maybe this was the little gem to break me out of it. Not so much. It all the elements of a fun flirty sexy read for me. Hot jock check, cool sassy chick check - but then NADA. There wasn't much to their story, I didn't quite get the feels or the heat from them as a couple. I kept waiting for that boom factor that just reels me in and it just didn't pan out. And that's ok - I didn't hate it. I put aside and fini ...more

Having loved Dirty Secret, I was very interested in reading more of Emma Hart's books, and a cocky athlete/daughter of Hollywood's sweetheart story seemed like a good place to start. And this sexy and funny story definitely was.

Leah Veronica knows what it's like to be in the spotlight. As the daughter of the Grace Veronica, her name and face are easily recognizable. But she's determined to make her own way, which is why she's so secretive about her career as fashion's newest star.

What can I say…..I LOVED this book!!! Blindsided was a fun, sexy, and entertaining story with lovable characters and a great storyline. I knew going in I was going to love this book because it is written by Emma Hart and she is one of my ALL TIME favorite authors. Wow! Once again, Emma Hart has reminded me why I love her books so much! If you're looking for an exciting, HOT read, then look no further!

Blindsided follows the story of Corey and Leah. Leah is the daughter to Hollywood's sweetheart. She wants nothing more than to stay out of the spotlight, which may prove to be difficult when you're trying to launch your own fashion line. The last thing she was looking for was Corey. Corey is one of the best QB's that the league has seen. He's cocky, arrogant

So. I waited a few days before writing my review. I wanted to make sure I wasn't in a bad mood when I did it, thus clouding my judgement on it. Now that I've had a few days to think about it, I still think it was just "eh". There were a few parts that that kept me hanging on and actually made me feel connected to the characters. But I felt most of the book was annoying. The characters were very immature and all the back and forth "I want him, I don't want him, I want him, I don't want him" got t ...more

Loved this book!

I absolutely loved Corey's unapologetic cockiness! And Leah's relentless stubbornness. Both characters played off of each other very well, and made for a funny book. These characters personalities and the way they are written really helps you feel the emotion in the book as well.

The reasons I am going 4 versus 5 stars, even though I loved the book, are as follows. 1- The build up to the first time they have sex was extreme (this I loved). However, I felt let down by the actual

Pretty good

This book was so so. To be honest, I despised Leah. She was way too bitchy and felt way to sorry for herself. She thought the whole world was out to get a piece of her because of who her mom was. Corey...he should have just forgot about Leah's selfish butt. He was a hot, cocky, rich, cocky football star. He was on a mission to get in Leah's pants. Along the way, his feelings changed. Boy did he put up with a lot of crap from Leah. There is a difference in being sarcastic and witty and

I just cheated on Tyler Stone a little bit with Corey Jackson. Swoooon! That guy totally stole a piece of my heart, and Corey and Leah are in the running for the top spot of my favourite Hart couple to date!

I just really loved these two. Corey was a cocky, arrogant, completely loveable, sexy guy, and Leah was a funny, strong, sassy woman, and together they were just fantastic.

I laughed, I swooned, I got mad, I cried, and most of all, I LOVED!! A great start to a new series coming in January 201

It's like reading a conversation between six years old kids. Juvenile. I like the characters to be much more mature.
Sometimes she was hilarious and Cynical but it didn't help me to finish the book.
I was f****ing bored.

There's something about Emma Hart's works that is just flawless and on-the-spot. I just added her to my list of authors who won't let me down with feels and love and lust. (And trust me, finding the right balance between lust and love is difficult.)

I tried. For three whole years I tried. I’ve never DNF a book but today I had to. My mom told me “life’s too short to read bad books” and so for the first time I had to put a book down. I started reading this February 2015, three years later- it was still sitting there, haunting me. The grammatical errors are vast, the annoying heroine is there, the ridiculous hero is present and most importantly the empty story from beginning to 25% of the book (which is as far as I got) also there. All that an ...more

blind side ~ catch (someone) unprepared; attack from an unexpected position

This is a perfect definition for the cat and mouse game played between Leah Veronica and Corey Jackson in Emma Hart’s newest release. From their first meeting to the unexpected “relationship” they hide under the media radar, neither Leah nor Corey are used to the feelings they bring out of each other; in fact, they sneak up on the both of them and threaten to unhinge all aspects of their lives in every possible way.

Emma Hart has found a way for me to actually like football.. Okay, well more accurately a football player.

Corey Jackson had me swooning through the roof. At first he definitely came off as a typical man-whore; cocky, arrogant almost to the point of annoyance. Though Corey begins to show his true colors the more time he spent with Leah. His determination to have her was sexy beyond belief. He had to have her with a

I can always count on Emma Hart to give me a nice headstrong sassy female and a cocky arrogant sexy male. And put them together you have fireworks.

I would've been able to finish this book in one sitting but duty as a student called and I had to read chapter by chapter, day by day, like a 'normal' person. Yeah... I don't like the whole reading a chapter a day thing . I wanted to finish this book in one go. I loved it!

The chemistry between Leah and Corey is unmissable. From the beginnin

This book is a prime example of why you shouldn't take to much stock in reviews ( I know I'm writing a review ! ) but if I'd have let some reviews for this book sway my decision to read it, I may have not read this book. I trusted my instincts and Emma's superb writing and soaked up the great love story of Corey and Leah .
This book was filled with amazing one liners, laced with sharp sarcarism which made it my kinda book !
Leah and Corey are an aquired taste I'll agree, they are both confident,
