Tangible tips I could work with.

Self-Care / Self-Discovery / Self-Development / Spirituality / Intuitive / Introspective / Healing

This is a highly informative book (with journaling questions included) for anyone who is extremely sensitive.

If you feel like your sensitivities overwhelm you, not knowing how you'll survive in the world, this is a must-read, to learn how to turn what may seem like weaknesses into your greatest strengths, for your higher purpose.
You are actually very gifted, special, and talented indeed. You may just need a little guidance and practice for these gifts to unfold, this book is an extremely helpful guide.

Whether you are intuitive, psychic, sensitive, spiritual, or even just extremely unbalanced, this book has a ton of steps to start transforming your mind, body, and soul in a gentle and intuitive way. What manifests in the physical, exists on all the other planes as well. I bookmarked over 30 exercises to refer back to. I plan on putting many of these steps into practice with my spiritual and healing journey and balancing all areas of my life.

- "If you do not set new goals, you are asking for the same thing that is happening today to happen tomorrow."

I had incredible success with shielding myself emotionally during a very sad and sympathetic movie that would usually have me sobbing in tears (I cry at anything) I used one of the exercises shared from the book: saying my name as a mantra over and over in my mind to ground my energy, and the emotional connection did not attach itself, I shielded myself! This was GLORIOUS! If you often struggle with emotional overwhelm, or extremes, this book may have steps you can take to start feeling more in control of yourself and your life.

The important messages stand out in BOLD in ALL CAPS, this makes referencing quick and efficient!

I, as the author, calls it "pick up" feelings of other people, often feeling their emotions intensely in my body without any prior knowledge of what is going on. All I want to do is run away from negativity and not feel other's pain because I have so much of my own all the time. This makes it hard for me to be who I want to be and to be there for the people who matter most to me, as well as keep all other areas of my life in working order.

Studying this material is a necessity for me to navigate my life. Older books have such valuable information in them. Honestly, this material has been more relevant than any new age topic trying to explain this stuff. It's funny this book is listed under psychology/counseling because the therapists (and majority of the doctors I saw) only wanted to "pill me up" suppressing the symptoms so I could try to get through my day to day tasks. Never did they teach me how to USE MY SENSITIVITIES AS STRENGTHS.

I loved how this book shared its ok to be guided but it is not ok to let someone make the decisions that are yours. Your personal power lies in you, your intuition is solely yours, that is your power. Keep your consciousness open, you never know how many could possibly benefit from you being open.

I purchased this paperback from a used bookstore. The information is very valuable to me for my healing and spiritual journey.

This is one of my favorite books. It literally fell into my hands while sorting through books at a bookstore I worked at. Then the title grabbed my attention as I heard this very statement my entire life. Needless to say, I appreciated the information very much and felt a kinship to this author as a true experiencer of being a sensitive.
