I saw the blurb on this one and it promised something a bit unique when it came to shifter romance so I picked it up. I happily started reading and liking what I saw, but started to get the suspicion that I was not reading a story originally written in English or at the least by someone for whom English was not their first language. And I was right. I thought it was just one more layer of coolness that I was reading about Parisian characters and the story was written by a true Parisian and trans ...more

Fun read!

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun with great imagination. I liked the way the author mixed human and animal characteristics together.

Lou is a Daierwolf.
Essentially, an extra intelligent shapeshifter.
And Daierwolves have two main objectives in life.

Firstly, never reveal the existence of Daierwolves.

Secondly, exterminate all Chalcrocs, promptly.

Chalcrocs are infected humans that change into ferocious monsters upon the full moon. Half-human and half-somespecificanimal, Chalcrocs are not aware of what they become, and they get increasingly tougher with each change.

With some unknown threat on the horizon, Lou decides to infiltr

Roxane Dambre tells of the Daierwolves of Paris (ebook from AmazonCrossing and translated by Patrick F. Brown) who can change to any shape or partial change. They have a preferred shape. Aloysia (who likes to be called Lou) favorite shape is that of a Panther. Daierwolves also interbreed with humans. Chalcrocs, which are more like the movie werewolves with lots of hair and a killing streak that lasts for three nights a month. Lou needs to join the French Secret service because they apparently ha ...more

I'm a huge fan of Roxane Dambre and her unique sense of humor. This series certainly doens't disappoint with a touch of the supernatural, a hot romance, a strong and hilarious female heroine, and a perfectly constructed plot. Leaves you begging for more.

Shape Shifters? Romance? Mystery? Check, Check, and Check. Though not quite how you would expect.

Daierwolves of Paris is a welcome mix of adventure, mystery, novelty, and humor, assuming you can get through the first chapter. Think death by repetitive statements of the obvious.

Aloysia is a Daierwolf, not to be mistaken with one of the nasty, uninhibited werewolves, otherwise known as Chalcrocs, that she diligently hunts in order to keep humanity safe. Equipped with phenomenal intellect, the abil

A nice book with a French touch =)
Lou is a pretty blonde with offbeat humor who lives in Paris and works in a chic hotel with her best friend Camille. But in reality, Lou is a Daïerwolf, a person able to transform into any animal of their choice, whose mission is to kill the awful Chalrocs. Full review of this book is on my blog

I'll be honest with you all I struggled with this book, and that is partly why this review is up a day later than I originally planned. I had high expectations for Daierwolves of Paris due to the positive reviews on both Amazon and Goodreads, which praised the detailed world building, humour and character development. Perhaps it was these high expectations (always dangerous) led to my dissatisfaction with this book or perhaps it was translation from French t

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.

I loved this book! I enjoyed the story very much, it was very well written. The world building was excellent! I felt like the characters were very unique. So many different elements to this story that a lot of books in this genre are lacking! I loved the dynamic between the characters. Lou was quick witted, fiesty, charming, and an all around badass!

Aloysia is a Diaerwolf, which means she can change into any animal she wants.

...more

Such an interesting concept- Daierwolves of Paris can change to any shape or partial change. They mostly have a preferred shape. Aloysia AKA Lou's favorite shape is a Panther. Daierwolves also interbreed with humans. Chalcrocs, which are like the hollywood perception of werewolves- hairy killers tied to the moon. Lou needs to join the French Secret service because they found out about her secret. But her recruiter is hot, and they have one dead Chalcroc and actually captured a Daierwolf. Letting ...more

A good page turner for sure

Very good book. I have four stars because there was an error with the font on a few pages and I found that annoying. The story was cute but not really original..however, I am planning to read # 2 because I did enjoy the characters and curious of the next book.

My favorite about this book, love the "meow"!

Excellent for young adult readers. Not too explicit and well written with a creative design for the characters.

I chose this review as a summation for somebody who wants excitement from a quick easy read. Imaginative quality for well played characters.

The way it was worded really put me off, somehow it didn't flow right. I didn't get past the first chapter because of it.the premise was really intresting and I so wanted to read and like this book, but as I said the writing just threw me.

Un roman intéressant, l'héroïne m'a un peu saoulé avec ses Miaou... a tout bout de champ mais une fois l'action lancée c'est assez accrocheur! çà me fait un peu penser à Patricia Briggs version chick lit

An enjoyable read with a slightly different spin on the world of shape-shifters. As I was reading it, I had the feeling it had been written in French and then translated, and at the end of the book I found I was right. It doesn't detract from the story, but it's there.

Humor +9 ! Lou is so funny ! Unable to put it down before finishing it !
And, as a french girl, i'm happy to read a good author whose not just using "cliché" of Paris and France ^^ ( Yes, maybe because she's french, and a Parisian as well. . . but it's refreshing :D )
