Shocked to learn the fish oil EPA/DHA craze is not only bad for your health, but very bad. After several months on Dr. Peskin's Essential Oils, test came in beautiful. And I feel well.

Despite some repetitive information, I still found this book to be compulsive reading for me. So much good information!

Key takeaways: 1. Adulterated oils are a major cause of poor health and disease; 2. Fish oil is harmful in multiple different ways; 3. Parent Essential Oils are the key to cellular oxygenation and disease prevention.

Note: This book is primarily written by Prof. Brian Peskin, but also contains sections written by Dr. Robert Rowen. The two agree on most points, the exception being what constitutes an ideal diet.

Peskin remains mostly silent on the topic, other than offering advice on the harmful effects of fiber, while Rowen is more prescriptive with his recommendations, advocating for a "living foods" diet with minimal or no meat.

Having read books on both sides of the argument, including Douglas Graham's book, which Rowen references... I find I side more with Peskin's point of view than Rowen's.

Bottom line: Very much worth reading if you'd like to improve your health.

This was a difficult book for me to read for two reasons: 1) there were lots of medical terms that were not always defined, and 2) it did not flow for me due to the constant references to scientific studies. It is filled with some very interesting information, and I believe doctors would profit from reading it if they have an open mind. I do recommend the book. The three chapters on fats, oils and carbohydrates was worth the price of the book.
