“Governed by the Code” are the words Supreme has had to live by his entire life. As the oldest of the Love Brothers, it’s been his duty to lead the family legacy with his younger brothers as the second generation henchmen for the Knight family syndicate. Now older and with the life and love of his childhood sweetheart Reign to protect, he dreams of a legitimate life away from the criminal ties, but he feels trapped between his duties to the Knights and his loyalty to his family. When tragedy strikes, the old Supreme is reignited, leaving behind a messy blood trail as he races to find the culprit before tragedy strikes close to home again.

This was a quick read full of love & action. It definitely broke my heart because I didn’t expect it to be so emotional. No HEA in this story but absolutely worth the read. I look forward to reading the other 2 brothers books!

Damn! I did not know going into this read, that it would have me in my feelings like this! 😥 Supreme…. Although heavy in the family business, was a kind, and loving man, who adored his girl Reign. From the time they met as children, they have been attached at the hip, and their bond and love grew as they did. As Supreme matured, he outgrew the need to please his father and continue to work for the Knight family. With his exit plan in place, he and Reign planned their future. Just as they were enjoying their new life, tragedy strikes. 💔
I could feel the pain, anguish, anger, and grief that Supreme was going through. Just why he thought? Who was behind this? The actions that came after unleashed the beast in Supreme. No one would be safe from his wrath. Then hushed whispers allude to snakes in his camp that are closer than Supreme thinks. What now? So, he waits for his father and brothers to get to the bottom of all.
Aviva has lent a helping hand to Supreme to aid in his healing. Being a sounding board, and a friend to comfort him, when he needed someone outside of family. But when they begin to start feeling things other than friendly. Hmmm....
When we learn who was the mastermind, I was a bit surprised, but I shouldn’t have been. People in this life want what they want, and when others want different, they rebel. That damn ending tho!🤯 Whew… I certainly hope that the Supreme learns of this deception quickly, and that his brothers have his back. As I see a war ahead for the Love family. Really enjoyed this read. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I read the triggers but not the synopsis so i knew something was going to go down. I was not ready. However, when it does i just felt it in my spirit that i knew it. Still by the end i was shaking my head in disappointment. Dirty.
Aries Skye you deserve a round of applause. You wrote one hell of a book to capture your readers. A hit man that’s great at his job and a wonderful husband to his Reign. Their love story had me blushing. Supreme is a stand up guy and all he wanted was to make a better simpler life for his family. The things they went through in silence honestly had my heart not only hurting but hopeful for them. His pain really jumped from the pages into my heart.
Now Aviva she cool and all but honestly i don’t know how i feel about that. Supreme does need a light in his life with being in such a dark place. He’s making moves based off of people he thinks he can trust. I just need them two to chill right now. I can’t wait to finish the series because i need major get back to take place.
I’m not surprised the dad was behind it all but I’m curious to see how this will unravel so definitely will be reading the other brothers book. It was a little cringey but still held my attention and he definitely is fineeeee 🥵🤎

It is a good thing Sampson isn't real. That man is diabolical. The ending, man that was slick writing. The storyline was jam packed with drama and mayhem. Supreme and Reign seemed to have a good thing. I guess the author had a better plan. I am not mad with her at all. This mafia type of romance was good. Now, I am on to book 2.
For a novella that barely breaks 120 pages, Supreme delivers the kind of emotional punch you usually only get from a full-length novel. Aries Skye wastes no time pulling readers into Supreme’s grief, and it’s heavy — losing his wife and unborn child after already enduring two miscarriages is the kind of heartbreak that leaves a mark on both the character and the reader. I genuinely thought he and Reign were heading toward their long overdue happy ending, and having that future ripped away added a rawness that anchors the entire book.
Once the action hits, though, it hits hard and doesn’t let up. The brotherhood between Supreme, Savior, and Saint shines through every chapter — that mix of loyalty, banter, and “ride until the wheels fall off” energy is one of the strongest parts of the story. But Samson? A different kind of villain entirely. His greed, the manipulation, the way he crosses lines family should never cross… it’s chilling, and it sets up a ripple effect that’s going to follow the series for a long time.
And then there’s Aviva. Supreme deserves to find happiness again — he’s earned peace more than anyone — but the fact that she was close to Reign leaves a layer of emotional complication the book doesn’t shy away from. It adds tension in a way that feels real, messy, and human. By the time the final page hits, you’re left with both closure and anticipation, because diving into Savior feels less like the “next book” and more like the next chapter in the fallout of everything Supreme endured.

This book is marketed as a mafia romance and I want to gently clarify expectations for readers.
Supreme is not a romance in the traditional sense. There is no HEA, no HFN, no soft landing. What it is is a deeply emotional mafia story rooted in loyalty, grief and the kind of love that consumes you entirely. And when I say no HEA, baby there isn’t even happily for this week. But let’s be clear. This book was everything and then some.
Supreme loves Reign in a way that is rare to read. Fully. Recklessly. Without limits. She is his whole world and Aries Skye writes that devotion with an intensity that feels raw and unfiltered. This is not the same authorial lane as Love on the Ninth Floor. This story is darker, grittier and far more brutal in its emotional impact. The love Supreme feels for Reign is so well written that it is tangible.
What impressed me most is the character work. When this book broke my heart, it did so because the characters were fully realized. Their love mattered. Their loss mattered. That kind of emotional investment does not happen by accident. The tears were real. I had to dry off my Kindle so you already know - immediately five stars.
Romance readers looking for comfort may struggle here. Thriller and mafia readers who appreciate emotional depth and consequences may find this one hits hard in the best way.
Another book off the shelf. The full series is calling my name.
There is a trigger warning at the beginning of this book and while I can't say I was triggered, I definitely felt a way about certain parts of this book. Based on the synopsis I knew that tragedy was going to strike but I did not imagine it striking the way it did and I just sat there like why.
After the tragedy occurred, I felt all the emotions that were being expressed by Supreme and while I didn't actually cry, my eyes did water. Now what happened after that was even more surprising. I understood him wanting to see revenge but the actions that he took were a little questionable and seemed to not be directed at the right people. The ending was a shocker and I do hope that by the time this series is over Sampson gets what he deserves because he is just pure evil.
There were a lot of moving parts with this book and unfortunately it didn't flow that well to me. With all the family names that were mentioned, I found it hard to keep up at times with who was the enemy and why. I think if there had been a little more details surrounding the families it would have made it a little more understandable. Also, the transition between some scenes was a little off too and had me asking how did we get here. Overall the book was okay to me but I may have enjoyed it more with some added information.
This book had me swooning so hard. I loved Supreme’s and Reign’s relationship from the sandbox to the dirt box. Reign was a sweet soul who loved her husband Supreme enough to want him to go legit and get out of his family’s business as their “Executioner.” I had a lil doubt that Supreme’s father Samson was not gonna let him go that easily. To say i was shocked when Reign was killed in broad daylight and in such a cruel manner had me all types of messed up emotionally. I cried so hard because she did not deserve that.
Fast forward to Supreme and Reigns best friend Avia possibly getting together, will be well I don’t know how to feel about that because I mean she was Reign’s best friend. But if they get together, I won’t be mad at it, I will just side eye them for a minute. What got me fuming like an overcooked marshmallow is the fact that Samson had everything to do with his daughter-in-law and his unborn grandchild being killed just so Supreme could continue to work in the family business. I pray and hope that Supreme finds out and give his daddy exactly what he deserves.
OK, so now I am totally invested, so I’m on to Book 2: Savior.
Uuhhh!!! this was so good!! I read book 3 first in this series and immediately needed to go to book1 so I could dive into the whole story and get more acquainted with the family. I'm so happy I did that because this story was such a good time. I loved getting to know Supreme and see all the events that led up to him and his brother's being who they become in the future.
This whole middle.portion of this story emotionally wrecked me in the worst way. even though I was prepared for it, I didn't expect to have such an emotional reaction to the storyline. It was touching and very heartbreaking. The author definitely put her foot in it!!
Just as I book 3, Samson is a nasty nasty piece of work and I really need him to get his just dues. Needless to say, I'll be moving in to Savoir's book next.
rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ supreme love has always lived by the code, but just when he’s ready to step away from the streets and build a life with his childhood sweetheart reign, tragedy hits and drags him right back into the violence he wanted to leave behind. REEIIGGNNNN 💔💔💔 my heart is shattered. i did not expect that at all. supreme and reign were making plans for their future; the baby, the dreams; and to lose all of that had me sick. i felt every ounce of pain in this one. i knew it was someone closer than it seemed, and i pray they get their reckoning in book two. and as for supreme and aviva? idk. it feels like more than friends, and honestly… i’m not feeling that.
This book was heavyyyyy!! Definitely check the trigger warnings before picking it up. It's only like 190 pages I think and it moves a little slow at first but then it hits you with drama, betrayal, and a crazy ending.
Supreme’s love for Reign was sweet, but once tragedy strikes, he spirals. Some of his choices had me straight up side eyeing and cussing him out tho!! And that ending?! Not gone lie, I was mad as hell! Like, why tf you with her fr?! It blew me fr lol
Quick, emotional, and messy in all the ways family drama can be. Not perfect, but it’ll keep you turning pages.

Shut up!!!!! Baby this series right here.........Whew Chile!!!! Listen when Supreme finds out what really happened and who orchestrated it, s@#$ gone hit the fan. And I am here for it!!!
The way Supreme loved Reign is one for the books. Forever My Lady is definitely their song. His heartache had me in a chokehold. I felt every emotion he displayed. One day at a time.....
Rating 3.5: The book was okay. This book moves slow in the beginning, but then the drama picks up when an incident occurs that changes Supreme forever. I felt it was predictable a lot of the time. At the end of the book I was side eyeing Supreme because he shouldn't have made some of the moves it made so quickly. Overall it was an okay read
Wasn’t sure what I was going to be walking into, but I did like it. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was in third person pov, but that’s okay. Being the oldest of your siblings is hard enough as is, but to go through loss, trauma, & finding your way back afterwards is the biggest goal for every one.
Im not sure how to feel about this book. I could've done without Aviva. I dont like that situation AT. ALL. It was unnecessary. I went in thinking he was gonna be on some John Wick but he folded so quick...I guess it really wasn't "and after" I kinda guessed the twists but it was still good to see that I was right and how ruthless the people involved really are

I felt the pain for Supreme. His father was evil. I knew it had something to do with him. His father had him kill everyone only to make sure he brung him back into the family business. How can you be so cruel to your own family. I can't wait until Supreme finds out. His father is going to do. I look forward to reading Saint
I enjoyed this book. I loved the way Supreme and Reign loved on each other. There were lots of twists and turns in this story that I wasn’t expecting. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more of this series.
If you want to read about a man who openly shows his love and affection then this is the book for you. Now I’ll also add it does include some tragic moments, betrayal between families, and a lot of death. Supreme is exactly who he thinks he is.
Wow it be your own family. When Supreme finds this out it will be hell for Samson. Greed is always the motive frfr! I felt so bad for what happened to Reign! Can't wait for the next one!
I REALLY enjoyed the twists of this book. There are some events that I did not see coming! A true testament to the saying, "People are not who they seem to be."
I absolutely loved this book. If this was the start of the Love Brothers then I cannot wait to see what comes next. As a reader that likes to be able to envision the book as a movie, this did just that for me. I was up and in it! Lol. If you haven’t picked up this book yet, DO IT! It’s worth it.
