Some decisions in life seem wonderful and wise. For Charlie Andrews and Mitch Hawkins, who have been blissfully happy together for seven years, nothing could have prepared them for that one fateful day. What they thought would be one simple choice to bring their future together sooner, became a disaster causing their future to change to bleak and bereft of hope, direction…and each other.
When Mitch falls and hits his head, suddenly his past becomes his present, and his beloved Charlie, a stranger. Charlie’s heart is broken into thousands of pieces as she mourns the loss of her fiancé, who although alive, is dead to her. Will they be able to find their way back to each other, and overcome overwhelming obstacles, or will the domino effect of their choices cause ramifications beyond redemption?
When I began my journey of becoming an author, I had no idea all the blessings that would be bestowed upon me. First, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many readers at signings and they have overwhelmed my heart with how much they love my books. Their words of affirmation have given me pure joy and they are the reason I write. To stare my stories with them is to give them a glimpse into my heart. I've also been tremendously blessed with bloggers who have tirelessly shared my stories, made teasers for me, promoted me, and just downright made me feel so welcome in the Facebook community.
I didn't share this initially, but the Killer Next Door series is about my own life experience living next door to a convicted serial killer. The story has the facts of my interactions with him mixed in with fiction that I created to give it drama. The main character Kate is actually based on me. Of course, much of the story has my run away imagination mixed in as well. And sadly, the romance part is all made up!! I didn't have a boyfriend at the time I lived next door to a killer. I did however know one of his victims and he was very interested in "getting to know me better." I know...yikes!
I wrote Beholden to You as a spin-off of the series. It's my favorite book as I love Natalie and Mac's love affair. It also has some thrill to it as I enjoy adding in twists and turns to make the pages fly.
I am about to release my fifth book, Forgotten by You, another spin-off, but can be read as a stand alone. Mitch and Charlie's story will have you rooting for a happy ending and I keep the twists coming.
Reading has been a passion of mine my entire life. I love it so that I dedicated my life to educating children. As a teacher, I have had the profound pleasure of teaching children to read and explore their imaginations through a good book. Nothing is better than watching a child read and find joy from the story. My first graders are a gift that keep on giving every day. Being a teacher is hard work, but the rewards far outweigh the sacrifices.
I have several that I want to turn into books. Writing has become a passion that I dearly love. In my free time, I enjoy reading (of course), writing, movies, working out, and relaxing with my my handsome husband in Southern California. We enjoy the relaxed lifestyle that California provides. We have two beautiful dogs and no children.
I have to say this Hero was sooooo not a hero. Yes he lost his memory, Felt bad for him about that. He then has this extremely horrible Bee-itch of a mum that brings in his old gf to stir up the pot. yes, he is engaged to the h. But mummy dreariest does not like the h. So when the H gets out of the hospital he breaks it off with the h. SHE IS A FREE BIRD. And yet when she gets drunk and the H's brother sleeps with her, she is drunk and unconscious he has his way with her, but who does the H get mad at??? Give you one guess. Yup the h who he broke up with and still says she cheated on him????? Now why was the h drunk in the first place you ask??? Well she saw him with the Ex-gf at dinner being all lovey Dovey and all over each other. Again, not sure why the H was angry. (Personally I would be grossed out b/c it's his brother..ewwwww.0 So when the H confronts the brother about sleeping with the h, they get into a fright and some other guys come in and beat the crap out of the H and the brother (not sure why this was added for the story line) but while the H was in the hospital ,,,,,,, AGAIN..... The h goes to tell him she is pregnant. He gets angry with her and tells her to leave. She blames herself. (Again let us be reminded he broke up with her and was with his old gf.) He was "how could you do this to us?" Well she actually didn't do it to you guys cause the brother practically raped her but hey semantics. So she goes off and he has his big mopey why me moments.. Mean while crazy stalker is after the h and gets his haNd on her. To thicken the plot, and EX-BF of the h was in cohorts with the mum of the H to keep the H and h apart. he got caught tampering with drugs and got busted and Sold out the evil mum as it was her idea to switch drugs on the H. Then dum...dum..dummmmmm... Stalker man takes the h and the H is all worried again (after months of no communication with the h) they find the h and all is right in the world... Down to the DNA testing that makes the baby belong to the H. Unicorns and bunny rabbits pooping rainbow jelly beans for all to see.
This book had such great potential but the h who takes the blame for everything is to much for me. THEY WERE BROKEN UP!! TSTL h's really make me want to throw my IPad across the room, but b/c its too expensive I won't, instead I will delete this book and think happy thoughts!

This book you will laugh, cry, be angry and smile sometimes all at once. Charlie and Mitch are so wonderful together and than one accident threatens it all. worse than the accident is Mitch's mom and brother. I want to really be angry at his brother but I can't be. He is in love or deeply in crush with Charlie and his actions are out of love for her and his brother even if some are rather disappointing. I hope we get to see him have a happy ending. Mitch's mom is a piece of work and at the end after all she did demanding to be there and accusing charlie of everything seriously she should be smacked upside the head.
Charlie and Mitch go through so much in this book that your heart goes out to them. Mitch does do a few douchcanoe moments but in his defense he was overwhelmed and manipulated besides having no memory of Charlie so he did the best he could under the circumstances.
Charlie in her grief and anguish does a silly mistake but not intentionally and does pay the consequences. I still can't believe Heather and Mitch's mom. Wow.
Heather was a piece of work. she truly was a wax replica of Mitch's mom and deserved what she got in the end. First manipulating the situation to her advantage. Taking no consideration for the fact that Mitch was engaged and lost his memory she horned in on Mitch and tried to get him back when he wasn't hers to have. Keeping things from him and lying to him. Her only saving grace was when she helped Mitch realize Charlie is his soul mate and needed to go get her.
Mitch's mom what a piece of work. A manipulative evil woman. She lied and hurt so many to get what she wanted. Her actions helping Heather were horrible but what she did with ERic was just beyound the pale.
A story of love enduring the pain of separation and loss. Two people finding their way back to each other after heartache, pain, suffering and manipulation only to be stronger and more supportive of each other. A beautiful read of love everlasting and forgiveness.
This could have been a sweet romance but h cheated with H's brother --yuk! H lost memory before they were to get married, thinks he is still in high school and in love with his then g/f. The h is of course devasted and one night had too much to drink after some disturbing news about H/OW had sex with future bil - thought it was the H. Yes its cheating but was not deliberate, what irks me was that the bil deliberately continued knowing she thought it was the H - that was really scuzzy and dishonest, no honor - no way would I read his book. The whole premise of cheating with bil was a big turn off - yes H was a jerk but really he had freakin amnesia! We had interference from ow ex cheating g/f, bitch future mil who also cheated in the past and just loved ow so poor H was manipulated. HEA ending but this was tarnished for me and lost points.

Blurb: Some decisions in life seem wonderful—until they cause everything to fall apart…
Charlie Andrews and Mitch Hawkins want to get married sooner rather than later. They plan to have a simple backyard ceremony at Charlie’s parents’ house. The wedding plans are suddenly put on hold when Mitch falls off a ladder and hits his head.
At the hospital, Charlie realizes a horrible truth—her fiancée doesn’t remember her…
Mitch has lost his memory. He believes he’s eighteen again and still in love with his high school sweetheart, Heather. Charlie is shattered by the news, and it only gets worse when Mitch’s mother tracks down Heather and brings her to the hospital to see him.
Every decision has a consequence, but Charlie isn’t ready to face it…
Charlie isn’t willing to give up on Mitch and knows they can find their way back to each other. But when she sees him out with Heather, her emotions get the best of her and she makes a life altering choice that could change everything.
Could one quick decision really lead to their love being forgotten? Or can they defy the odds and remember the vows they were so eager to take?
When anger, betrayal, and memories fade…love will always remain.
I was really intrigued based on the blurb. I felt like this was either going to be a serious tearjerker or a heartwarming sweet read. Since I am not a big fan of ugly cry books, I was actually sort of nervous. I didn’t shed a tear, so I didn’t really need to worry.
Charlie and Mitch met right after starting college. Charlie actually had a boyfriend, but he was super controlling and Charlie was starting to wonder if he was violent too. Her friend introduced her to Mitch and the spark was instant. Charlie broke up with her boyfriend within like 2 hours of meeting Mitch and Mitch kept him (and his creepiness away). Fast forward 7 years and Mitch and Charlie are still blissfully happy. Recently engaged (why did it take 7 years if they are so happy?), Mitch suggests moving the wedding date forward and having the event at Charlie’s parent’s house. When Mitch helps Charlie’s dad take down the Christmas lights, he falls off the ladder and hits his head on concrete. He wakes up and has forgotten the last 7 years.
Mitch’s mom never liked Charlie and she is determined to manipulate the situation to keep them apart. She bans Charlie from the hospital room and invites Mitch’s high school girlfriend (that he still believes is his girlfriend). Mitch pushes Charlie away and pursues his relationship with his ex, who is still in love with him. Meanwhile, someone close to the couple has always had feelings for Charlie and decides to use the situation to his advantage. Can Mitch regain his memories before he loses Charlie forever?
AND STOP! Sounds like an amazing story, huh? If this was the entire basis, I believe there would have been enough substance to make this a heartbreaking (then warming) story about this couple and their path forward. It was almost like Ms. Sexton didn’t feel like there was meat, so she decided to make the controlling mom a total psychopath and add in cheating, a pregnancy, sibling rivalry, criminal/stalker ex-boyfriend and a crazy stalker/felon/kidnapping coworker. It was overkill and had me rolling my eyes at times.
I don’t want to come down super hard on the story. I actually liked it overall. I guess my expectations were just too high and they weren’t exactly met. I was invested enough to need to know what happened and who ended up with whom. I will be honest and say that I probably would have been ok with two possible scenarios. I wonder if I am alone there.

What a great story. Carlie Sexton nailed this story. Forgotten by You, held , me captive til the end. I couldn't put it down. Its so romantic and a little bit of a mystery. Charlie and Mitch have been together for 7 years. They met in college and at the time she was dating someone else that just plain scared her. But then Mitch stepped in and saved her. And they have been together ever since. They were engaged to be married and their friends were married so they decided to move up their wedding date. Mitch has a very bad accident. From this accident he hits his head and has to have surgery. When he awakens he has lost some of his memory and his past is all he can remember. He doesn't know who Charlie is. This tears her apart and she goes thru so much grief she talks to Mitch's brother on how to help him get his memory of her back. Wrong move for Charlie. Charlies friends Kate and Natalie try to help. Mitch and Kate have been friends for a very long time and he trusts what she tells him. He finds out what he has known all along. But between a manipulative mother and and ex girlfriend have him so confused that he doesn't know who to believe or which one to trust. In his case he turns to friends to help him thru this. Charlie is now paying for a mistake she made while Mitch has lost his memory and then she has another issue that is causing her trouble that could be life threatening. Losing your memory of a love that is so strong is devastating. But then all the manipulations that occur makes you even more confused. How can anyone recover and love again after all this devastation? Mitch and Charlie are a perfect example of true love and that love is never ending. Will they ever find each other again and love? Can Mitch forgive all the manipulating that has been done to him? I gave this 5 stars. I couldn't put it down once I started it from the first page. The love of Charlie and Mitch is so awesome and the circumstances they endure are so much to test a love that they have.
Charlie Andrews is ready to move forward with her life with Mitch Hawkins. They are engaged and want to get married sooner rather than later. They have been together since the start of college and know they are meant to be together.
What was supposed to be the start to setting up for the wedding turns into the biggest nightmare ever. Mitch falls off a ladder and bumps his head. When he wakes up in the hospital he can’t remember the last 7 years of his life. Unfortunately that is the 7 years with Charlie.
Charlie is devastated and decides to drown her sorrows in one night of drinking. This leads to the biggest mistake of her life.
Mitch thinks he still loves his high school sweetheart but something about Charlie pulls at him.
Lies and betrayals are coming at them from everywhere and Mitch and Charlie struggle to put their mistakes behind them.
This story was fantastic. There was so much angst and many moments when I just wanted to yell at both characters to stop. I felt heartbroken for both characters during their lows and was so happy for them when they were together.
I definitely recommend this heartwarming love story to read.
I love me some angsty book but there is a fine line between dramatic and melodramatic. I felt that this book was more melodramatic. The author threw everything but the kitchen sink at her MCs. You can have a drinking game with how many trips to the hospital there are in this book (both for H and h).
My 4.5 Star Review for Forgotten by You by Carlie Sexton “You will always come before my mom and I will make sure she know I will choose you over her no matter what.” I fell in love with Charlie Andrews and Mitch Hawkins from The Killer Next Door series and was so excited to see that they were getting their own story. Love: Strong affection; warm attachment; attraction based on sexual desire; a beloved person Charlie and Mitch have a wonderful relationship, after seven years together, their love for each other continues to grow. Charlie’s parents adore Mitch and Mitch’s parents, well let’s just say he remains distant from them, especially from his controlling mother. When they decide to move up their wedding date, the preparations lead to an accident with Mitch that changes their future. “I will always protect us, baby. No one’s more important to me than you.” Forget: to lose the remembrance of: be unable to think of or recall What would you do if your finance didn’t remember you and your future mother in law did everything to prevent you from seeing him? Mitch is suffering memory loss from his accident which causes his past to be his present. Charlie is devastated when she learns that she is nothing but a stranger. Trying to her to be strong she soon realizes that the man she loves is lost to her. Her friends do their best to support her and to help with Mitch’s memory loss. Manipulate: To influence esp. with intent to deceive While Mitch is living in the past and it seems his mother is determined to keep him under her thumb, Charlie struggles with her present, finding comfort in her friends. One drunken night and mistaken identity, Charlie is struggling with betrayal and an uncertain future. Soul mate: a close friend who completely understands you : a person who has the same beliefs and opinions as another person Slowly Mitch begins to realize that the life he thought he has isn’t really the life he wants. Confused he tries to get to know Charlie again, even though his mother seems to be doing all she can to keep the beautiful and kind woman that once was his fiancé away. Besides he did spend the past seven years with her and deep inside he feels comfortable with her and he also feels something he can’t really describe. When another incident ensues, his memory comes crashing back to him. All of the lies and deceit come to light and he feels betrayed by the woman he loves the most. When reality hits him and he realizes that he could forever lose his soul mate, he does everything he can to get her back.
This is by far the best that Carlie has written. Imagine that the person you have loved for seven years forgets all of it! Charlie was a trooper through it all. She endures so much and even though a few people treated her horribly, she never lashed out, which in my eyes, made her an even better person. She created a character in Mitch’s mom that just made my jaw drop. She is that character that you really just HATE. She brought that past to the present in a way that completely works. This book has so much emotion, pain and love. The character interaction was wonderful. Carlie is definitely an author to look out for. She continues to grow as an author and it is just amazing. I have read all of her works and they just keep getting better and better. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.
**This book does not end in a cliffhanger and is told between Charlie and Mitch's points of view. Although this book is technically could be read as a standalone novel it does intertwine with The Killer Next Door Series and then Beholden to You. I would suggest reading this after those stories so it does not giveaway the prior books endings.**
My favorite quote is from Charlie " I cant believe that Mac couldn't keep a secret when Natalie could." Men*
An unfortunate turn of events changes their future in a way that no one expected. Charlie and Mitch have been together for seven wonderful years but this one day has split them apart. When Mitch falls he hits his head he no longer remembers the last seven years with Charlie. She is completely devastated by Mitch's memory loss and turns to her friends hoping that they together can help Mitch regain his memory. The things that you do in the midst of heartache may define your future forever. Can they overcome the battles set ahead? Can you continue on when it feels like the world is against you and everything that can go wrong will? Little do people think how one single decision can change the course ahead.
I have read the 3 Killer next door novels and Beholden to you and i absolutely love Carlie's books. Her books are very intriguing. Just when you thought you had her book figured out she goes and throws a curve ball, or five, and i love that she isn't predictable because what fun would that be if the mystery book had no mystery?
I just finished reading this beautiful story and can I say, Carlie Sexton, bravo and thank you for sharing it with us!!
Charlie and Mitch have been through a lot in the seven years they have been together, yet their love and devotion for one another has always gotten them through. When Mitch has an accident and loses his memory that devastates Charlie, yet her resilience to be there for him, hoping that he will remember something to jog his memory, is emotionally beautiful.
As Mitch and Charlie try to work out things and see where this leads them, they are both faced with plenty of drama as well as tough decisions that will either bring them closer or push them further away from one another. As I read the alternating POV'S from Mitch and Charlie I got to see their true feeling on the matters but the one thing that always stood out the most was their undying love for one another, and that gave me hope that maybe they would be able to work it out.
While reading this I could not help but truly despise Mitch's mother for being such a conniving heartless human being, set to get her way no matter what the cost and to whom. But karma has a way of coming and biting back... That's all I will say on that.
This story sucked me in from the very beginning and literally didn't let me go until the very last page because I needed to know if they would be able to pass this hurdle. This is the first book I've read from Ms. Sexton and you can believe that she is now on my radar! This is a MUST read that you will never regret! ~ Kara, 5 Emotionally Beautiful Stars
Charlie Andrews and Mitch Hawkins are a couple who have been blissfully happy together for the last seven years. They are so excited to get married that they moved their wedding date up so that they could start the rest of their life sooner. All their friends just got married and they can't wait any longer. When Mitch fell and hit his head everything changed and caused their future together to alter and now Charlie doesn't even know if there will be a wedding. Their future is feeling quite bleak and Charile is heartbroken and mourning the loss of her fiancé, who although alive, but with no memory its just like he is dead to her. Can these two find their way back to each other, and overcome overwhelming obstacles, or will the effect of their choices cause ramifications beyond repair?
This was a book that broke my heart that a couple could be so happy, then one accident and everything is changed. There was so many twists and turns that helped keep these two apart during this trying time when Mitch is lost and gets misdirected into want is true or what he should be doing. I really liked all the action going on that had way more to do with more than Mitch's accidents. It was a quick read that I made you want to feel for poor Charlie and want to smack Mitch. You'll want to read this to find out if Charlie can get her Mitch back or will he be lost to her forever. Good Read.. Go get it!
I have been dying to read Charlie and Mitch's story for a long time. I couldn't wait to see them finally get their HEA. This is by far the best book Carlie has written!!
Charlie and Mitch finally decide to set a date for their wedding. It will be in a few weeks so they hear over to start helping her dad take down the Christmas lights. They never expected their world to be turned upside down. After Mitch falls and loses his memory. How can someone lose seven years of their life? He wants to remember Charlie, but all he can remember is his high school girlfriend Heather. Will he ruin everything by leaving Charlie for Heather? Or will he try to get to know Charlie and fall in love with her again? Will he get his memory back?
Charlie loves Mitch with everything that she is. She never pictured her life without him. She tries so hard to fight for Mitch, but it seems that the universe is doing everything to keep them apart. Will she give up on him? Or fight for him with everything she has?
This is an amazing read and I cannot wait for more work by Carlie! Each and every one of her books gets better and better. If you haven't read the Killer Next Door trilogy I recommend starting with those!! This is definitely my favorite book by Carlie and it is one of my top reads this year!!!!
Carlie has given us another angst-filled journey with the story of Mitch and Charlie. They've been together for 7 years, so their relationship has been the longest between their group of friends (Kate & Neil and Natalie & Mac). Carlie doesn't fill her novels with fluff as the story reads straight through. Mitch and Charlie encounter many hurdles throughout this novel that kept my anxiety on edge. Their story was fast paced so at times interactions felt rushed while other times I was thankful because I wanted the resolutions to the situations at hand. Manipulation is at an all time high in this novel which justified my hate towards Mitch's mom (Lillian) and Heather as they took advantage of Mitch's mind-state. The dedication and support Mitch and Charlie have from their friends is loyalty at its finest. They take "never give up" to a completely different level. If you've yet to read a novel of Carlie's, prepare for the angst, the anger, and the intensity of which you'll experience every emotion her writing evokes. Give this a try and find your next book crush!
Mitch and Charlie were not new to me, having come across them as minor characters in earlier books. Carlie used this book to completely round them out, filling in the spaces that got them to where they started - then running with them to make them in to the people they became.
At the beginning I thought it was going to be too sweet for me with each one trying to outdo the other over how much they were loved.
Then came the first twist. The actuality of it could be seen coming but the aftermath was horrifying. Lillian and Heather are now firmly inked on my 'baddie' list. I'm wavering over Eric as he brought into disrepute my own profession...ok, he's on the list too. Garrett took advantage of the situation but as men are led by their d#### he gets a pass.
Great. Everything is about to start on the long road to recovery when Garrett decides to bare his soul - with consequences he could not have seen coming.
Okay. Now we head towards the HEA. No. Mitch gets all "I just need some time" on us.
Luckily Ms Sexton throws in another twist forcing him to man up...but is it too little too late.
A lovely book, beautifully written and a very enjoyable read.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really loved it. I look forward to reading more in this series. It was both a heartbreaking and a heartwarming read. The characters are well written and you were cheering for Mitch and Charlie to find the way back to what they had. Mitch and Charlie are blissfully in love and planning their wedding. Then Mitch has an accident and can't remember Charlie. He has lost the last seven years of his life. It seems like everything is conspiring to keep them apart. Will true love conquer all and give these two the happily ever after that they deserve? This book kept me turning the pages to find out.
I loved this book. From the very beginning this book had me glued to it. I could not put it down no matter what. The story will grab you and keep you interested all the way through, the characters, you will have no choice but to fall in love with them and the pace at which this book moved along is perfect. This is a must read, you will not be sorry.
Went into this blind and it reminded me.... reminded me why I don't do that.
This was bad. Really bad.
Think of every cliche drama there is then put them in one big line (it's a long line) and you have this story.
This could have been ok if we had maybe two cliche dramas with some real characters and character development. This was just a vomit of draaaaamaaaaa, in one long cat hair ball vomit.
Amnesia. This is one of the best books I have read in a long, long time....the main characters Charlie and Mitch fell in love the first day in college, seven years ago. After moving up the date of their wedding they go to Charlie's parent so she and her mom can start planning the wedding and Mitch can help his soon to be father in law take down his Xmas lights.....but while helping, Mitch falls from the ladder, hitting his head and awakes with memory loses of the past seven years.....what follows is: a manipulate future mother in law, a disruptive ex girlfriend, a love struck brother, a sick ex boyfriend, a weirdo ex boyfriend. ..and an unexpected pregnancy. ...great writing. ...I couldn't put it down.
Charlie and Mitch have been together for seven years and are do ally getting married. Unfortunately a tragic accident causes Mitch to have short term memory loss and he doesn't emerge last seven years of his life and he doesn't know who Charlie is at all. He only remembers his high school girlfriend, Heather since his mother doesn't like Charlie she plots to get Mitch and Heather back together. This story is intense, emotional and has such betrayal involved, you won't know which end is up. I loved it and it's definitely a book I would recommend as a must read!!!
Positives: the writing was good and the plot was diverse. Characters held my interest (if not my respect). Negatives: the cheating and the instant-sex. Minor spoilers to provide evidence... You wake up from a coma losing 7 years knowing you have a fiancee but you play kitty face with your ex FROM THE HOSPITAL BED? REALLY?!. Example 2, your fiancee has woken up from a coma and is playing kissy-face with his ex-girlfriend so you invite his brother to sleep in your bed for comfort? Because that's a standup decision.
This book kept me in my toes, an amazing emotional roller coaster with a lot of twists n turns. But I heavily disliked Mitch for behaving the way he did with Heather and then his behaviour towards with Charlie after she was pregnant, even after the calls and when she was in physical pain. He had no audacity to behave the way he did. I had to keep reminding reminding myself that this was just a book due to the tears rolling at every new turn in the book. Just wished the book contained a brief history on how Mitch and Charlie fell in love instead of fragments. Overall a good read.
2.5 Short review. Mitch and Charlie had a wonderful loving relationship that when Mitch has a accident that causes him to lose his memory at first you are rooting for them to find they're back to each other. Unfortunately when Mitch started to treat Charlie like crap for no good reason I started to stop rooting for them and started wishing Charlie would move on and as far as way from Mitch and his manipulative family.
What an exciting story line. The couple had been together for awhile, newly engaged soon to be married when he slipped and hit his head. He wakes up looking seven years. And he doesn't remember her. He wants his girlfriend, Heather. His mom manipulates his fiancee out of the picture. Will he get his memory back? What about her stalker? Will she be hurt? What about his brother who he hasn't spoken to in yeats. The drama in this story kept me turning the pages.
I finished the book but nearly didnt. The idea of the story appealed to me but once I got reading, it seemed as though the author didn't know where to go with it. Every other story got thrown on top to carry the book to 60 chapters, when it could of finished half way through if the nonsense had been taken out. Characters also don't need to keep telling each other they love each other.
It was almost a 5 star read. I found I loved how strong the story started and the path it went down. But, then it became a little too much with all that was happening. Certainly lots of great part, just as I said, a little over done.
Strong story line! No one needs a mother like the H's! His brother was also questionable. Sad when the ex-girlfriend, who was formerly influenced by his mother, rises as the most positive character on his side of the equation (his father did finally step up but almost too late). He and the h did finally get there HEA, but had to overcome numerous challenges to get there.
