the future is now, from 1990 - HDTV's, on-demand, The Age of Innocence and Hook, what it takes to make a personal film in a commercial American landscape (Scorsese), being a dependable craftsman and storyteller with Victor Fleming as your ideal filmmaker (Spielberg), and taking time off to be an educator and preserver of filmmakers' rights (Lucas). If only Siskel and Ebert could be alive to do a follow up today. A prime example of hindsight is 20/20. Also, Ebert's a better interviewer than Siske ...more
