I liked the idea of this book. Ebola has contaminated a city and the nervous government have blocked it from the rest of the country using a ring of soldiers who don't want to be there, repulsed at having to shoot those who try to escape in case they spread infection to the rest of the states. l I abandoned another book by this author based on my opinion of the main character and sadly I found an issue with the characters in this book.

Dropped this garbage after 30 pages.

There are to many unbelievable things happening just to highlight the whole liberty vs safety issue.
The 2 things that just made me want to smack myself into a wall was:

1. Ever heard of airdrops of food?
2. There is an amazing thing called testing the blood for infection, this would allow the military to clear the quarantine zone bit by bit. Sure they could have added a 2nd quarantine just to be safe.

Wow!

This is the first book I've read by this author, I read it in one sitting. It was very good. It has a killer virus, great militarily scenes, and of course Marshall law.. I have read several books about world ending viruses ,but this is a very different take on the subject..really enjoyed this story.. it's a must read. The scary thing about this book is that I can truly see this type of thing happening.

Another plot twist to the Ebola crisis. This book is interesting and recommended. The author has many other books that are very readable.
