For the purposes of full disclosure, I did beta read this book as well as The Reluctant Warrior for the author, but I feel the following review is 100% objective.

The Warrior Code is #3 in The Warrior series by Ty Patterson. Though I thoroughly enjoyed both The Warrior and The Reluctant Warrior, this third book is clearly Mr. Patterson’s best to date. The good guys (other than the Warriors, of course) in this Warrior installment are a set of twins, Beth and Meghan, who are being pursued by unknown baddies for uncertain reasons. I absolutely love the repartee between the twins and members of the Warrior team. The subtle element of humor in the story is terrific; for the most part it is not laugh-out loud humor, but more amusing and perfect for the action/thriller genre.

Mr. Patterson’s quality of writing improves with each novel. The plot is tight, and the flow is excellent. The author has an active imagination and keeps the confrontations between the Warriors and the enemy fresh and exciting. Mr. Patterson is also doing a nice job in keeping his cast of characters interesting. He does not feel obligated to march out the entire team with each book allowing the reader to learn more about the personalities of those he chooses to write into the story.

What to criticize? Some readers might think there are too many characters, but if you pay attention and, if necessary, use the Search function in your device to remind yourself who is who, you will do fine.

I might also add that all three of the Warrior books have a fine twist at the end, none of which I saw coming.

It is fun to see Ty Patterson progressively improve his stories and writing. I predict a very bright future for this author. Though each book can be read as a standalone, I strongly encourage reading the series in order for full enjoyment. I recommend The Warrior series to all action fans and all thriller fans. I am looking forward to reading The Warrior’s Debt, which I believe comes out sometime in 2015.

Another excellent book in the Warrior series!

Ty Patterson has done it again, another great book, very interesting story with awesome characters. All three books have separate storylines but follow a wonderful path with characters told so well that you feel like you have known them forever. The black-group,the Warriors are the same, with amazing skills and deep reach in the government. If you like thrillers I encourage you to try this series, you will be glad you did!!

My, oh my! If you liked the previous Warrior books by Ty Patterson, you will love The Warrior Code! Patterson’s plot formation, sentence structure, character development – his whole writing style – continue to evolve and improve and make this third installment of his Warrior series a must read. I do need to divulge that I was a beta reader for this novel as well as for his previous book, The Reluctant Warrior. However, I feel that I also had my “reader” hat on and was able to thoroughly enjoy this story.

Beth and Meghan Petersen are twins, and someone is out to kidnap them. Having thwarted the first attempt, the Warriors are determined to protect the women and outwit, ruin, or otherwise foil the kidnappers’ plans, no matter what it takes.

Unlike the previous books, Patterson does not use his full complement of Warriors, which is an excellent decision, I feel. It enables a wonderful opportunity for more character development, as well as some splendid (and sometimes humorous) interaction between the twins and the Warrior characters.

I had some favorite scenes that are very creative, well written, and funny. It shows growth, confidence, and imagination. I enjoyed the flow and the pace of the novel, and I had very few criticisms of this book. I had a sneaking suspicion of who the bad guy really was, but there were some surprises at the end.

Ty Patterson obviously loves what he does. He does his research. He concocts plenty of action. He composes twists and turns. He invents interesting characters that we can care about. I am excited about this book, and I can’t wait to read his next one, The Warrior’s Debt.
But one step at a time. Best to read them in order to get the full effect of who’s who in Warrior world.

My Hero is Back and so is the action

First of all a huge thanks to the author for giving me a copy of his book and bringing up with such a wonderful and brilliant series.

You may think that for hardcore action thriller fans there would be a whole lot of options available out there. True! There are. But none that are good enough to make your adrenaline skyrocket. In my view a true action book should make your blood pump or the very least develop an urge in you to punch someone (kids !! don't try this at home) and The warrior code fulfills both these criteria for me.

The warrior Code in a whole lot of ways reminds me of Jack Reacher, when the series used to be good and oozed testosterone.while that series has mellowed down, the warrior series is only getting better and better.

The central character has been brought back with so much passion and power that you almost forgive his absence all these while (i said forgive ! not forget ) .

A good action thriller is hard to narrate especially the action part. And that is where i am impressed by in this book. Show me fist fights or dirty words like, Remington, colt or Sniper shot and i am there and the book has no dearth of it

Although everything works perfectly for me, there were two things that bothered me in the book. The Head and the tail.

Head in the sense that , there was a huge revelation towards the end of the second book and the starting of this book did not even had a hint towards this major turning point. Its like nothing of this sort happened. Tail in the sense that, the climax and the wrapping up had still loose ends and unanswered question for me. Lets just say that yes it was a good end but something seems to be missing.

The book can be a good standalone as the plot is fresh and with new beginning and needs no background information to understand the plot and the required essentials are given for the convenience of the new readers. In fact i would say that i got more background information on many of these characters in the this book rather than the previous ones.

Those who are planning to file a missing persons report for Jack Reacher, may find him in a new revamped avatar in this series. This book is for all those who are hard core fans of Jack Reacher or Mitch rapp because the central character Zeb and his team are a melange of every action hero you ever worshiped. One thing i like is that while other books emphasis "on the lone wolf " factor, the warrior series is all about team play and the co- ordination between the team.

The action sequences are perfectly portrayed through a well played out narration and the characters of the book are stronger than ever. The warrior series is emerging as a strong contender in the action genre with a powerful, intelligent and masculine hero to back it up. Its everything the Jack reacher series started out as and ended up loosing. The plot has good twists and turns and keeps the entertainment portion thoroughly fed. The series is getting better and better, becoming hard to avoid.

How was it?

Book 3, in the Warriors series

This third installment is one true action thriller from start to finish. Mr. Patterson has once more given a good infusion of vitality to his story and provided enough hard core excitement to make our adrenaline raise more than a notch. Be ready this book is all action and could be a good standalone since there is no need to know the backstory to understand the plot.

This series continues to evolve, the scenes are creative and some even funny, lots of good twists and turns to keep us entertained throughout. The action sequences are vivid, well-played out, fresh and exciting. The story is tight and flows smoothly. All this narrated in a dry and witty voice. What’s not to like. Zeb and his team are not only a melange of every action heroes we read in other thrillers their characters bring back the passion and all the testosterone needed to provide us with a captivating and very suspenseful journey.

At the heart of this 3rd story are Beth and Meghan, twin sisters who are pursued by ruthless gangsters and are facing capture and probably death. Till Zeb steps in and saves the day.

If you like over the top action, give this series a go.

Incredibly addictive series!
Another action-packed, devilishly twisty story in the Warriors Series.
Amazingly good characters, no lack of suspense or nail-biting tension and a very enjoyable read.

I loved Jack Reacher until Lee Child sold him down the river to that scrawny, egotistical buffoon, Tom Cruise. Seriously, Jack Reacher is supposed to be six foot four (at least), a quiet man who helps people in need. Tom Cruise is five foot four and a loud mouth smart ass. He could not play a humble character if he tried.
Okay, on to Zeb and Broker. How can you not love these guys? We are introduced to the twins, Meghan and Beth. They are a handful and quite lovable. Zeb has to pull out all the stops to try to save the girls. And of course, you know how it ends. I do hope we get to visit with the other Warriors. On to book four.........

Megan and Beth twins ,Zeb meets while out camping. A kidnapping and Zeb interferred. The twins added to the story, with a touch of humor and and were well trained by their father in observing and protecting themselves. The questions of who was behind the kidnapping, and why. A good action adventure once again with Zeb and the team.

Ty Patterson is the BOMB! I've gotten my library to add the three Warrior's Box Sets to their eBook collection. If you haven't taken the time to enjoy one of this series of books, I highly recommend any of them! I'm presently on the 6th in the series.

This is the third book in the series I’ve read. They are all just very average pulp action books. Easy and quick to read just what I’m in the mood for.
I can’t help but notice the amount of five star reviews the three books have received, I can’t help but be 🤔..suspicious 😏

Another enthralling thriller by Ty Patterson. The third book in the Warriors series, and the best so far. If you enjoy a great plot-line with plenty of suspense and action, then this is a must read. Not all super heroes wear capes. Looking forward to reading the next installment.

Zeb Carter, a Special Ops agent who works for a U.S. agency that doesn't exist, is taking a break from the killing game. He is in the wilderness of Wyoming to get away from it all. Twins, Beth and Meghan Petersen are recovering from a horrific past. A past which seems to have involved assassins, who are now pursuing them. Zeb's idea of getting away didn't include getting dead and he find himself reaching for his Glock when he comes across the twins. He has a crew with him in all his agency missions. This time he's all by himself with no back up. He has always had the agency's considerable resources supporting him. This time it's just him and his Glock. He always comes out on top in his missions. This time his break from killing might be a prelude to his dying.

Now for this book! The first thing that I like about this series is family feeling that I get when I read and the relationships that have been built among the team. The way that they care for each other and the loving way that they work together even with the business that they are in and including Clare! I have read every book in the series and I look forward to the toys that the author comes up with, they are fascinating an even though some of them are way out there to some of us, they totally fit with the story line...

What did I like? One of Zeb’s codes that he lives his life by is that women and children are not to be harmed and in every way be protected. When he ran across the twins in the wild wilderness of Wyoming that code had all kinds of alarms set off. The fact that he is alone and had no resources to back him up never entered into his mind when he figured out the girls was in trouble. I also like the way that no matter where he goes into the wild or overseas in the backest of all back countries he can run across someone that he has helped. He has never backed down even when the outcome did not look like he would make it.

What are you going to like? Another (the 3rd in the series) great mission that will grip you and having you quickly turning the pages to get to the end. More excitement, more equipment, more emotions and definitely a great read. Well thought out and researched to bring out the best in all of the characters. The action will be hard and a very strong plot all against Zeb’s reaching a solution. Watch him in action and non-action; love the way that he takes his time to find the answers that he needs to take the next step in reaching an end to the problems.

I have been a beta reader for this author since book one but I have purchased because I love this series and want to keep it where I can re-read in the future. I think he will be up with the top and on the top reaching beyond some of the best crime writers of today.

This is the current release from Ty Patterson, and it easily lived up to my expectations. Like book #2 in the Warrior series, I'd classify this as a crime thriller. We get to learn more about Zeb, who is the primary protagonist. I enjoyed this, since Zeb played a mysterious role in book #2, a shadow character who saved the Warrior team more than once.

Broker is significant, of course. He's the leader, and a man whose ability to capture vital information knows no limits. Roger also plays a role, but minor this time.

As with book #2, The Warrior Code pits the Warrior team against a gang, an upstart Mexican drug lord and his badasses (Patterson likes this term, so it's only appropriate I use in here). The plot begins at a remote campsite in Yellowstone National Park, and most of the story unfolds near the park (Jackson Hole, Cheyenne). As one who loves the wilderness and has visited Yellowstone, this choice of settings was a delight.

In The Warrior Code, Patterson continues to entertain with an engaging plot and vivid, artful writing. His style is crisp and evocative. If you like thrillers, Patterson should be on your to-read list.

Although I was a beta reader for this book, I enjoyed it enough to purchase my copy as soon as it came out. This book is easily read as a stand alone but will make you want to buy the first two as soon as you can. I have enjoyed watching Ty Patterson grow as a writer. His Warrior series had taken an interesting premise, a small group of deniable operators who tackle off the books problems for the government, and given it a soul named Zeb. Like the others in the series, The Warrior Code starts out strong and just gets better. Others have voiced concerns at the number of characters in this book, but I think that each of the characters plays an essential part in the story line and keeps the suspense at a sustainable level throughout the book. I am not one to reveal plot details in my reviews, so I will only say that the setting for the book is idyllic, the action is non-stop and very realistic, the dialog is witty and entertaining, but most of all the ending was completely out of left field and leaves you anxious for him to complete the next book.

“The Warrior Code” by Ty Patterson is a successful continuation of his gripping Warrior Series about Zeb Carter and his team of warriors.
Throwing us at the deep end the suspense kicks off as two women are being attacked by strangers in Yellowstone National Park. Zeb gets involuntarily involved – showing he is always the good guy who takes on other’s problems, even if reluctantly so – and from here on we try to get to the bottom of this mystery attack which turns out to be on a bigger scale than originally assumed.
Action packed and told with a dry and witty voice the book builds on the array of established characters but adds some great fresh ones.
Highly recommended for fans of good action thrillers.

Another well written action thriller from Ty Patterson. The third in the series and so far no slow down in the action. Plenty of techno porn on the part of Broker and of course Zeb's use of his 'kit' to keep the bad guys in line.

Looking back at the way the first book ended and the current involvement of Zeb, I have to wonder if that was planned by Patterson or he had second thoughts after the first book.

Another must-read in the Warrior series!!! The author did NOT disappoint and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was even more excited that Zeb, my hero Warrior played a more major role in the storyline. He's the ultimate bad ass/kick ass hero. Great story, believable characters and a hard to-put-down read. Waiting with bated breath for book 4. :-)

The WARRIOR CODE

Well, I have to say I can't wait for THE WARRIOR DEBT. Each book in series just gets better. I've met Beth and Meghan Petersen in this story and I'm happy to say they will be in more of the WARRIOR series. Mr Patterson please hurry with the next chapter in the WARRIOR series.

This series gets better and better. Each book has shown improvement in the quality of writing, the storylines are fantastic and well - as for the suspense - my heart was pounding as I turned the pages.

One of those books you think "just on more chapter" as the clock hits 2am and you need to be up early for work in the morning.

Brilliant.

The Warrior Code. TY Patterson

Zebadiah Carter, aka zeb, ex special forces, one of the best ,as well as his covert team. Only a few highly placed people in the government know of there existence. He rescues a young lady from being kidnapped, actually there's two twins. The Mexican Cartel wants them. Intrigue, betrayal, action packed adventure. I highly recommend!

I love the crisp writing. I did not feel there were any unnecessary words to interfere with the story. When I read Warriors Book 1, I was hooked and had to ration myself or I would have gone several days with no sleep. I can't put Ty's stories down until I'm finished, and I love that.
