Michelle Jabès Corpora is a writer, editor, and martial artist. In addition to working in the publishing industry for more than seventeen years as an editor and concept developer, she is the author of two historical novels for middle grade readers, two horror novels for young adult readers, and author of the Throne of Khetara fantasy series for Young Adults. She has also ghostwritten five novels in a long-running middle grade mystery series. In her spare time, Michelle trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a blue belt at Crazy 88 MMA, and enjoys making home-cooked meals, doing tarot readings, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. My mind was once again blown, although I really should have expected it since I enjoyed the first book so much!
The book dives right in, and we see the fallout from the climax of book 1. It's difficult for me to talk about how much I enjoyed this book without getting too specific, as I really think it's best when you just go into it but I'll try!
Once again alternating POVs, we follow Nefermaat as she embraces her new role in the palace, Sitamun who starts her own journey of discovery and purpose (along with Karim, who has a whole lot to deal with after his ordeal) and Rae, continuing to fight the good fight for her people. A lot is going on both politically (and cataclysmically - the new player on the board is here to cause chaos and distress and nobody is exempt.) I definitely enjoyed Sita's journey the most, as you see her grow and change arguably the most, so I would always be itching to get back to her POV, although I enjoyed all and the switching did keep me engaged and keep things fresh.
The world itself is also incredibly immersive - like with the first book, you can tell the care and passion the author put into her research. The Egyptian lore is rich and explored very well, and her descriptive writing truly made me feel like I was right there along on the journey.
Plot development is once again on point - at no point was I bored or simply going through the motions reading. Everything that happens feels purposeful and important, and I love that although once again I was shot at gunpoint with a cliffhanger, we got to see a couple storylines converge and conclude, so I closed the book (ie put down my phone) with some sense of satisfaction.

Overall, I greatly enjoyed this read and cannot wait for the finale. Very rarely do I find a new fantasy series that grips me wholeheartedly, and I truly cannot recommend this series enough!

The second book in this incredible YA Egyptian fantasy. Wasn’t sure it was possible to like a book more then the first one but it’s been done. Following our four main characters as the oracle continues to show them the way forward, fumbling, failing and succeeding as best they can. I audibly gasped the last chapter.

I don’t even know how to start this because I am in a full emotional spiral in the BEST way.

The second book two was announced, I knew I needed it. No hesitation. This series already had such a hold on me, and somehow this one made me fall even harder. I genuinely cannot express how much I love it.

It’s giving The Mummy meets Indiana Jones but with so much heart and emotional depth that it just completely consumes you. The world feels alive, the stakes feel real, and everything feels so big in the best way.

And the CHARACTERS.

I am so deeply attached to all of them it’s actually a problem. Neff, Rae, Karim, Sita—every single one of them feels so real and so unique. Watching their stories unfold, seeing their struggles and choices and growth… it got to me. Like really got to me.

I cried. Multiple times. No shame.

There’s something about the way this story is told that makes you feel so connected to them, like you’re right there with them, carrying everything alongside them. Their pain, their hope, their fear—it all felt personal.

And the way everything is building??? I was completely locked in. The tension, the prophecy, the sense that something massive is coming… I could feel it the entire time.

This isn’t just a sequel—it expands everything. The world, the stakes, the emotions. It all hits harder.

I’m just… so grateful this series exists. It’s one of those stories that stays with you, that you carry long after you finish.

I already know I’m not done thinking about it.

Thank you NetGalley for my ARC. I read the first book in the series as an ARC as well, and I have now completely devoured both books!

Continuing the riveting tale from book 1, we find the same characters on harrowing adventures across the sands, racing the clock, and trying to save the kingdom from Sita’s evil brother, Mery, who has successfully poisoned and killed their own father, the King. Rae and her fellow rebels are on a conquest to infiltrate the palace, save her father who has been taken as prisoner, and overtake the evil Mery. Sita and Karim have teamed up and with new powers learned, are journeying back to the palace to face her very own brother who not only killed their father, but wants to marry and bed her? Neff has become elevated in the world—she is now the priestess and closest advisor to Mery, although she despises him. These storylines eventually converge at the end when a great battle is fought to stop Mery from executing the prisoner rebels and casting a powerful dark curse on all his enemies. In the background, a strange, dark evil is also traveling across the sands—even though Mery is an evil ruler—something far more sinister is walking among us.

After finishing book 2, I found that it wasn’t as exciting as the first book. This is very typical of series; however, I still found myself very fond of the characters and I was interested and engaged in each storyline. The characters feel real and relatable, and while there may be four main characters to follow, the author does a great job making it very clear and easy to follow. I enjoyed the magic, the romance, the Egyptian mythology references, the beautiful setting, the action, the adventure, the tragedy, and the cliff-hanger ending!

I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series! I am very pleased with this young adult novel!

She Knows All the Names had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through, whether crossing my fingers that Neff would get away with her clever plans or holding my breath while Sita finds herself alone in dark places. It was invigorating and exciting, and I don't know how I'm going to manage to wait for the third book! If you are a fan of The Mummy (1999), you are going to love this book.

Jabès Corpora's writing captures the imagination and sucks you into the world of Khetara (and if anybody is asking me, I think it would make an incredibly TV show or movie series!). The four lead characters - Rae, Neff, Sita, and Karim - are the kind of people you root for, who you want to win no matter the cost. While the genre makes it clear that these four heroes will have their day it's still possible to fear for their safety and success (because winning doesn't mean everybody comes home safe, and succeeding isn't the same as not losing).

As with the first book the attention to and love for ancient Egyptian culture is woven throughout, from referencing specific historical festivals to incorporating what might now be seen as obscure gods (e.g. Medjed, Shesmu, Bennu) into places of significant importance within the plot. As Kenna says, "Heka is not outside nature; it is nature," and Jabès Corpora absolutely maintains that framing perspective throughout - the idea that a pharaoh might curse all his enemies or that a girl might summon an invisible familiar are understood and accepted possibilities.

I loved the combined story of Karim and Sita, to some extent they felt like the characters closest to the plot for this book - especially Sita's personal growth. I appreciate how Jabès Corpora makes each character feel like a hero in their own story: Neff's is a story of deep intrigue (and it's hard to remember sometimes that she's only 13), Rae's is the story of how a farm girl becomes the leader of a rebellion, Karim's is about a charismatic thief who makes himself worthy of leadership through action, and Sita's is the story of a princess with a birthright far beyond a crown or throne. Each of these would be an exciting and fun story on its own but weaving them together in a way where none overshadow the others takes a lot of skill, and I really look forward to seeing how the characters shift and change around each other in the next book!

She Knows All the Names is the second book in the Khetara trilogy, and picks up where His Face is the Sun ended. The story continues with the journeys of Sita, Rae, Nefermaat, and Karim, as they all find themselves on various adventures: Sita and Karim are on the run from newly crowned pharaoh Meryamun while also seeking out a lost city, Rae continues to work with the rebels to bring justice to her people, and Nefermaat is working as Meryamun’s personal oracle while also trying to unravel the prophecy in which she has found herself entwined. Heart-pounding adventure pairs with swoon-worthy romance to deliver an exciting, edge-of-your-seat ending that will leave readers hungry for the next installment. All characters in this book cued as Egyptian. 

The second installment in the Khetara trilogy does not disappoint! I gobbled this book up as quickly as I did the first one, and I am eagerly awaiting the conclusion. I liked how seamlessly this book continued from where the first one ended, without too big of a timeskip. This book contains a lot of different story elements: mystery, adventure, romance, and paranormal thriller, but Corpora manages to represent each equally in the story, without overwhelming the narrative. I never got the sense that “too much” was happening, while still being entertained in every chapter. The romance between Sita and Karim was very sweet, and I liked their dynamic a lot. I also appreciated the inclusion of a queer relationship in the book, between Rae and Tam. I liked seeing the characters continue to grow and develop, especially Sitamun. Her journey shows great personal growth, from a self-absorbed princess to a mature young woman prepared to rule a kingdom. The scene where Sitamun is led to Queen Anet’s tomb by the two goddesses and she chooses to accept her past wrongdoings and to forge ahead and fight for her kingdom was so powerful, and it showed a lot of strength from her. I was also very intrigued by the King Sematawy storyline, which added an exciting paranormal element to the book, and sets up the conflict for the third book. "Thrones of Khetara" is a unique and gripping YA fantasy series taking place in ancient Egypt and following 4 young people as they get wrapped up in an ancient prophecy. "She Knows all the Names", book 2 in this series, picks up immediately after book 1 left off. Sita and Karim continue to journey through the desert, looking for the red lands and something that will help them defeat the ancient evil Karim has accidentally awoken. Neff and Rae's paths cross as Rae sneaks her way into becoming a palace servant in order to rescue her father, and Neff attempts to enlist her help to defeat Mery's tyrannical reign.

Just as faced paced, adventurous, and gripping, as book 1, this 2nd installment had me hooked! I read it so quickly and could not put the book down. Though we switch between 5 perspectives, each one was so engaging that I didn't mind whose point of view I was reading from. Something important is happening every second, and every character is so interesting and has such a fleshed out background story that I really came to love and appreciate each of them. This story is so unique in that I feel like ancient egypt is not a time period often explored in fantasy, especially in YA fantasy. So this feels like such a new and refreshing read for me, and I can't wait for book 3!

The only thing that I don't love in this book, and this is just a me thing, is that all of Mery's actions make me SO uncomfortable. Yes, you're supposed to feel that way about him, but his obsession with his sister and his violence both give me the ick. So I'm rating a 4.5/5 stars

I can't recommend this series enought and am so excited for the 3rd(and presumably final) book in the series next year!

This sequel was EXACTLY what I was looking for in the second book!! It was nonstop and gripping! The hard work of world building that Corpora put into the first book was shown in the second book. It flowed effortlessly and you dropped into each characters perspective with ease and understanding. Each character's story line was so compelling and I could not put the book down, I had to force myself to go to sleep because I was so obsessed with what was going to happen next. It was truly jam packed with information and action. There was a smidge of romance between some of our characters and I was cheering so hard for it. I just felt like I had really been submerged into this world and had been right by each of their sides throughout their individual journeys. Each of the four main characters, Rae, Neff, Sita, and Kiram, all had immense character growth even in the span of two books. I cannot even imagine their full character arc by the end of the series as a whole.

I feel like this review is so chaotic but I find it so difficult to write non-spoiler reviews for continuations of series but I love when a second book surpasses a first book in a series it makes me so excited for the rest of the series. I cannot wait to see how the four of them and the side characters included deal with their next impending doom. Corpora has combined so many key amazing elements to fantasy and executed them perfectly. If you are looking for a fantasy with high stakes, a dash of romance, prophecies and gods set in Ancient Egypt this is the series for you!! I could not recommend it more!!!

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I devoured His Face is the Sun and couldn't wait to get my hands on the sequel.

"If the hand of a god guides me, am I truly free?"

Things are in motion! The prophecy has been spoken and our main protagonists - Sita, Neff, Rae, and Karim - are in play. I was so intrigued to see how these four very different people would intertwine and weave around each other. They each develop so differently amidst all of the challenges. We see Sita confront her own identity as a woman, a princess, a child of the gods. Neff is playing this very dangerous game between two princes and learning how to cast her own spells. Rae is warring within herself for what's right and good while also listening to so many other loud voices about how a rebellion SHOULD be played out. Sweet Karim has so much guilt for his actions and he has to come to terms with his new reality and physical limits.

Setnakht is approaching, but he's still a dim and shadowy figure on the horizon. He's less menacing that King Meryamun, who is wreaking havoc on Khetara already. There is magic and deception and I still ate this up.

I think it's an interesting choice that we don't get chapters from Mery or Kenna (my precious boy Kenna!). We don't really get to understand the depths of Mery's inner workings, why he is making his choices. I would love that backstory, where his evil intent sprouted.

Anyway, gimme book 3 right now, please!

Magic, visions, and rebellion: destiny waits for no one.

This picks up mere weeks after the events of the first book, making it an ideal series for binge reading. The story continues to follow our four main characters - Sita, Neff, Karim, and Rae - through multi-POV chapters. This installment introduces a fifth perspective, this time from a bird, which occasionally narrates updates from across the country. The overlapping character locations, paired with these varied POVs, offer deeper insight into relationships, strategies, and magical connections.

Romance makes a subtle appearance in the narrative, exploring a couple of relationships. While there are hints of spice, everything remains closed-door, allowing the high fantasy and political intrigue to take center stage without distraction.

Magic continues to play a central role, with visions, reincarnation, and divine communication expanding the story’s world-building. The fantasy elements grow richer here, blending seamlessly with the rebellion-driven plot. Violence, betrayal, and corruption are depicted without restraint, creating tense, shocking moments that reinforce the stakes and align the reader with the rebellion’s cause.

The storytelling structure - ending chapters on high tension and then shifting to another character’s POV - keeps the pages turning. You’re constantly compelled to see how each cliffhanger resolves, which makes for an addictive reading experience.

The book wraps up in a way that sets the stage perfectly for the series finale, leaving readers eager to witness the next chapter in these characters’ fight against tyranny.

I LOVE when a book gives me chills, and She Knows All the Names did just that! Jabes Corpora has a way with words. While there are certainly parts of her Throne of Khetara series that feel familiar (it's like a cross between the movie The Mummy and Game of Thrones), she has fabulous world building and characters you can get lost in. The chapters being told from the Ibis' POV were so interesting in this second book - she writes such clever animal characters. Sita and Karim are my absolute favorites. I could read a spin-off with just their back and forth banter.

This quote is one of my favorites. "She was, in fact, the perfect age for rebellion - the age when a woman no longer cares what anyone thinks and does exactly as she wishes." I felt this in my bones. Jabes Corpora wove beautiful, strong female characters throughout the story as both main characters and those we get small glimpses of.

I was initially worried that Medjed was not going to be a good presence for Neff. Thank goodness it didn't go that way; I would have been crushed. And the imagery of the serpents on the staff changing form!! I can literally picture everything as it's being described. I can't believe I have to wait until who knows when for the final installment in this trilogy, but I'm looking forward to re-reading the first two books in preparation for that day!

I love this series so much! She Knows All the Names picks up right where His Face Is the Sun leaves off, with higher stakes, a deeper exploration of the world and its magic, and the shadow of an even greater evil.

The pacing of this story is superb, each chapter leaving you hungering to return to that characters’ arc, creating a tense and suspenseful atmosphere. I loved watching the characters’ stories collide and the incredible amount of development since the beginning. Karim, Sita, Rae, and Neff all have their own internal struggles and journeys, but the themes of resilience, identity, and acceptance resonate through them all.

I enjoy how Jabès Corpora uses animal POVs (a cat (Paws) in the first book, and in this sequel, an ibis (Wings)) to give insight into scenes and events beyond our characters’ immediate vantage points. I’m curious to see what animal helps narrate the third book and the ways these animals are connected to the gods. All the human side characters are also incredibly well-developed - I’m just as invested in Kenna and Tam, especially, as I am in our main four!

When I crave an immersive fantasy series, this is what I mean. The amount of history and mythology Jabès Corpora packs into her books is unparalleled, and the ways she incorporates them to create a wholly original and exciting story is unmatched. I am so invested in the fate of all these characters and cannot wait to read what’s sure to be a stunning conclusion.

Wow, just.. wow. She Knows All the Names is a jam packed ancient Egyptian centered book is everything I needed and more. As the sequel to (a book that I will never stop thinking about) His Face is the Sun, it has been a highly anticipated read for me and it turned out to be my absolute favorite read of the year so far!!
Michelle’s writing is addictive and so beautifully crafted it’s incredibly hard to put this book down. It’s one that I found myself saying, “Okay, just one more chapter.”, every single chapter. She Knows All the Names picks up right where the first book leaves off, for that I am immensely grateful because I was SHOCKED at the ending of book one. And I was just as shocked again, left absolutely speechless!
The world-building is spectacular. Each character is seamlessly woven together, which is hard to manage without overshadowing one character or another but Michelle has done it flawlessly while giving each character the perfect amount of light.
For the readers that enjoy a mult-POV, we have four in this book! Each and every character chapter has you sitting on the edge of your seat. We watch four strangers who come from totally different walks of life band together for the greater good- Sita, Princess to the throne of Khetara and sister to Mery. Rae, a farm girl turned Rebellion leader. Neff, a young girl raised in the streets, who is now advisor to the Pharaoh Mery. And Karim, a tomb robber whose actions have led to him accidentally awakening a long dead Pharaoh. A Pharaoh bent on revenge and regaining his throne.
A story of unlikely allies, gods twisting fates, monsters of human and the paranormal variety it’s one to have on your summer TBR. I VERYYYYYYY much look forward to reading the next installment!!

She Knows All the Names by Michelle Jabès Corpora, which is the second book in the Throne of Khetara series, was one of my most anticipated novels of 2026. I thoroughly loved and enjoyed reading the first novel in the series, His Face Is the Sun, so I was excited to see where the characters' stories would go in the sequel to this book. The Throne of Khetara series is inspired by Ancient Egypt and has elements of magic, horror, and romance mixed in. I can safely say that I was completely blown away by She Knows All the Names as a follow up to the first novel. The characters (Rae, Sitamun, Karim, and Neff) all go on exciting new journies in this book as they race against the clock to save the kingdom of Khetara from ruin and from Sita's brother who has become pharaoh.

The book features alternating points of views from each of these characters, which I enjoyed, as I was interested in everything that was happening to each character and seeing how all of their stories merged together towards the end of the novel was fascinating. I am such a huge fan of Michelle Jabès Corpora's writing as she really makes the characters and settings of her stories come to life, and the prose she uses is wonderful. This is one of those books that you will not want to put down once you begin reading it. Sometimes sequels can be a little bit of a let down, especially if the previous novel in the series is so captivating (like His Face is the Sun was), but this sequel exceeded my expectations. I am so looking forward to reading the last novel in the trilogy but I'm also sad that the series will come to an end because it is just so fantastic and I love being immersed in the world Michelle Jabès Corpora has crafted so beautifully. I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a story inspired by ancient Egyptian gods and pharaohs, and who loves reading about magic and characters who are genuine and exciting in so many different ways.

After the events of book 1, Khetara has a new pharaoh, the brother of missing princess Sitamun, and Nefermaat is at his side. With that comes a rebellion led by Raetawy. And Karim is grappling with new life (blessing? curse?) as he and his new companion grow closer. The Oracle is calling, destruction is coming.
SHE KNOWS ALL THE NAMES is a YA fantasy novel. This picks up after the events of HIS FACE IS THE SUN, an Egyptian inspired fantasy.
I ended up liking this waaayyy more than the first book. Because this one jumps right in. Gets straight to the action...for the most part. Because this is multi-pov, there were instances where I thought some of the pov's were slow (and a little boring, mainly from the 45% mark to the 60%). Once that last part of the book came to fruition, it was amazing. Everything picked up rather nicely, and I was on the edge-of-my-seat waiting for Sita, Neff, Rae, and Karim's path's to cross again.
SHE KNOWS ALL THE NAMES is very interesting, and I loved how the ending played out. These are looooonnnnng books. With the ending, it finally felt like all the time I put into reading these was worth it.
This ended on a cliffhanger. I'm already ready for the next book.

She Knows All the Names picks up where His Face is the Sun left off. The shorter chapters made this a much breezier read than book one, and the pacing felt noticeably tighter throughout.

The Egyptian-inspired world-building continues to be the star of the show. The author weaves history into the narrative so beautifully that I found myself nostalgic for my ancient history classes. The Kingdom of Khetara feels lived-in and real, with layers of politics, magic, and tradition that keep drawing me back.

Character-wise, there's growth here, just not evenly distributed. The villain leans a bit one-dimensional for my taste, which kept me wanting more nuance in the conflict. That said, the stakes remain compelling enough that I couldn't put it down.

As someone who follows disability representation closely, I appreciated seeing disabled characters in the cast, though I wished the side characters with disabilities had more space to breathe. They're compelling and deserve more spotlight in the final book. Paws doesn't get her own chapters this time, but she's still present and stealing hearts in the background.

The ending teases the finale without the gut-punch cliffhanger of book one. It's less jarring, though you can see it coming from a mile away. I'm already counting down to book three.

I should not have finished this in one day because I'm supposed to have a life... but I also didn't really want to put it down. And I now sadly have to wait for the next book.

This is book two in the Throne of Khetara series.

The world building is seamlessly woven into the story. The character growth after book one continues to be significant while staying well-paced. Each character's story is individually enjoyable, at no point have I been sad to move on to someone else's pov, because I want them all.

I love the Mummy-ish vibes getting glimpses into the past. The magic and mythology mixed together. We dive more into the romantic relationship between Karim and Sita in this one, which I thought was well written. Neff learning about herself and what she is capable of (and at such a young age being forced to forgo any sense of teenage life to do what needs to be done for her kingdom). Rae coming into her role as a rebel leader while also learning her shortcomings and her continued relationship with Tam.

I can not stress enough how much I enjoyed this book. I honestly can't say if I like this one or the first better. I can't wait to read how it all ends in book 3!

THE LAMB!

So so good. I’ve been waiting for this one since I finished His Face Is The Sun months and months ago - it hadn’t left my mind. Thank you to Michelle Jabès Corpora and net galley for the ARC!

This one is everything you could want in a fantasy book. It was adventure, fear, found family, lost family, and a little bit of love (with queer representation too!). I felt all the emotions reading it.

I’m so attached to each character and their story and love how the author incorporated each of them with their own stories into one bigger narrative. Reading the author’s note was also super interesting and has me curious about Egyptian history and rituals which I never would’ve thought about before this. The way the author is inspired by real historical events and people is evident when you read this book.

I’m already looking forward to getting a physical copy of this one when it comes out in May and am anticipating getting my hands on the third of the trilogy. I need to know the significance of the lamb (will it be the animal pov chapters of the third book??) and how the oracle unfolds

She Knows All the Names is the five-star action-packed second installment of the Throne of Khetara series.

If you had asked me at the end of the first book if I could love the second book even more than it I would have said no. However, Michelle Jabès Corpora really said “hold my pen” and did that. The second book is SO good! The first book was amazing, but it was definitely the setup of the world, whereas the second book is the relationship builder. Every single relationship in this book undergoes incredible transformations. The interweaving of the characters, the oracle of the lamb, and their fates is masterful. I love Corpora’s writing, with lush descriptions, tons of action, and real heart. I don’t want to say much about what happens because spoilers, but really just take my recommendation and read these books. Egyptian mythology, zombie pharaohs, magic and foretellings, rebellion. This series really has it all!

I ended up liking this book as much as the first book in the series. The universe was expanded and engaging. The plot followed the events of the first book so I won’t talk about it too much, but it was compelling and the multiple points of view were quite interesting. The cast of characters was not my favorite part of the novel, but it undeniably was well-developed and solid. There were also some romantic plots that were well-written but did not completely convince me yet. I liked the ending quite a lot — which is notable for me — and I’m intrigued to see how the characters will be in the next book. It is a extremely underrated series and I would highly recommend if you’re looking for an ancient Egyptian inspired dark romantasy series with a vast cast of characters and rich world building.

I honestly didn't think you could top the first book in this series. I was wrong.

She Knows All the Names had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish genuinely fearing for characters I know are supposed to make it through. Because winning doesn't mean everybody comes home safe, and succeeding isn't the same as not losing. Michelle Jabès Corpora understands that distinction, and it makes the stakes feel so real!

The four leads Rae, Neff, Sita, and Karim are the kind of characters you can't help but root for. What impresses me most is how each one feels like the hero of their own story. Weaving four distinct threads this compelling together without any of them overshadowing the others takes serious skill, and this book pulls it off even better than the first. Which is saying something.

If you're a fan of The Mummy, you have to read this series.

A sequel to an earlier book, this follows the journey of four strangers whose lives are closely intertwined. The new Pharaoh is ruthless and bloodthirsty and hellbent on locating the missing princess Sitamun. But she is elsewhere, with an unlikely companion - a thief named Karim.

Even as the Pharaoh commands her assistance in his quest to tighten his hold on the kingdom and locate the princess, his counsellor Nefermaat plans to free her land from his oppressive rule. And she is not the only one hoping for an end to the Pharaoh's reign.

In another part of a country, Rae wants to overthrow the cruel ruler and free her father, who is one of Pharaoh's prisoners. The question now is whether their common interests can bind these disparate individuals together...

This is an entertaining story rich in world building. It easily earns 3.5 stars.

She Knows All the Names picks up right where His Name is the Sun left off.
I liked that there wasn't a time jump or anything and we got right back into it. And each of them had a lot to do before they all come together at the end. I think Sita and Karim's story was my favorite in this book. The journey they go on and the way they both grow as characters was very satisfying. Their romance was just a little cherry on top.
I did enjoy getting more magic and lore in this book. Getting some answers but also being left on that cliff hanger. These kids are just starting the fight and they have gone through it already. Can't wait to see how they all work together now that everyone is in the same spot and seem to have accepted and come into their own strengths.
Overall really enjoyed this book but did find some parts a little long winded for my liking. So that's why the 4 stars instead of 5.

Another fantastic book in this series! It seems like it'll be a trilogy which is great, I prefer trilogies/duologies over 50 books in one series, lol.

The characters got even more fleshed out in this one. I liked all the fascinating adventures they went through--especially the princess and the thief. I like that Corpora had those two develop the romance more and it's oh so sweet and perfect!

Weirdly, one of my favorite characters was the bird. I loved that the author used him as a way to see more of the world without the characters and see how their actions affect everyone else in this world.

The ending was very satisfying and I think the author did a great job resolving the major plot points of this one. There's a cliffhanger, but it just makes sense to have it in order to build up the final big bad of the series.

Can't wait to read the next one!

It is not often that the second book is just as good as the first, but She Knows All the Names is exactly that. This book picks up right where His Face is the Sun left off as we follow our four heroes through tumultuous times in ancient Egypt. Sita and Karim continue their journey and learn more about themselves and each other along the way, Rae is determined to get her father freed from the pharaoh Mery, and Neff must navigate court life while trying to stop Mery.

This book is a must read for anyone that is a history lover or an Egyptian history lover. The story is fast paced and held my interest the entire book that I devoured in 24 hours. I am eagerly anticipating the next installment in this incredible read.

What a great duology! I loved how the author wove a recap of book one into the beginning; I always appreciate that when jumping back into a series. The writing style is beautiful and engaging, and the world-building is so lush, filled with rich lore and Egyptian mythology.

If you love political intrigue, unique magic systems, and Egyptian mythology, you will absolutely love this. I’m officially obsessed and definitely need more!

This book punched me in the face by surprise.

Loved this one like I did the first one. This one was more emotional for me though. It was literally a rollercoaster. I’ve always enjoyed Egyptian fantasy novels and this series does not disappoint. I also find the author’s writing style very easy to read and flowy. Sometimes I find it hard to follow along with a story, especially with these details but everything just runs smoothly in this book and makes it more enjoyable. I think my only “complaint” is that I just more story building and background info. But that could just be a me issue.

She Knows All the Names is the second book in the Throne of Khetara YA fantasy trilogy and continues to follow the four main characters during Mery’s rule as Pharaoh and their attempt to stop him from his brutal reign.
I absolutely loved this book. The first book was amazing and I felt that the second held up to that standard. The writing was vivid, the characters were realistic and human, the plot was amazing. I loved every minute of this book and cannot wait for the third to come out.
