It's Gay Spartacus!!!

Hella raunchy smutterific Spartacus, but still. It's filled with crude language and filthy hot sex.

There's enough plowing and seeding going on in here to rival the entirety of the American breadbasket.

Humorous gif that won't post to GR for whatever reason. *grumbles*

There are poles and rods and loads and wads, drippy cum and needy holes and even an anal star thrown in for good measure. The essence of Slave Eternal is fucking and fighting, sex and blood. It's total brain can

The struggle to finish this book is painful so I'm giving up. Please forgive me, Shin, for cutting our first buddy read short! I just can't hang with this book, girlfriend!

At the suggestion of Shin, I changed my mindset from historical to fantasy, and I still couldn't enjoy this book. The endless monologues and internal musing of not just the MCs, but the secondary characters as well, were not working for me. Even with the author's beautiful writing, and the hot sex scenes (the MCs were hot

So I was able to finish this novel but this didn’t even come up to half of my expectations. 😭 This was a Buddy Read with my sweet Lyn and she DNF this one so you can clearly guess the outcome. 🙄 I love complicated and intricate storylines with enigmatic MCs. This one seemed to be a historical romance with interesting and energetic gladiators and all those glorious smut so I thought I’d love this one. 😒 And I also tend to have a soft spot for Looseid and Dreamspinner publishings since I tend to l ...more

2.5 stars...

Meh...this was average. Don't get me wrong - I, too, watched Spartacus and loved the hell out of it...but when sex scenes got repetitive and redundant pretty soon (and those make up at least 50% of this book) and when, for the life of me, I couldn't visualize fight scenes in my head (and those make up the rest of the book together with some not very engaging plot) I was left with whole lot of nothing to enjoy. But, I love gladiators and I can't say it was exactly a struggle to read t

I don’t even know where to start with this review. Part of me wants to start swearing like a drunken pirate about how amazing it is. Another part of me wants to do the Kermit happy dance and start flailing around madly. This book had everything I could have wanted and more. So much more.

First, I think it’s only fair that I give you some warnings. This book has a lot of content that might upset readers, and not necessarily in a good way. It’s a violent bo

So I’ve read a few books lately that are fantasy that I’ve really loved. I think I’ve been converted. Some were the typical fairy, wizards, dragon types of fantasy, but there’s another genre that seems to be taking hold that I am falling madly in love with: historical fantasy. Slave Eternal falls wonderfully into that category. It’s set in the time of the gladiators, but has its own unique take on the Roman slave/gladiator/ master relationship. I adore this book.

Since this is about gladiators a
The story is pretty simple. We have gladiators fighting for glory and honor and a chance to free themselves from slavery. Of course there is betrayal and other intrigue, but the story is about two gladiators falling in love. Why the two fall for each other is beyond me. They hardly speak to each other. And all the non communication leads to misunderstandings. Even the world building is very minimal. There is an evil empress who makes the gladiators fight to keep the masses pleased. The evil empr ...more

Slave Eternal is the first book in the In His Area series by author Nasia Maksima. I liked this tale, placed in the areas of Rome. The raw feel to this book kept me turning the pages. Hektor is an experienced gladiator. He is good at his job which is to kill the other guy. Lucan has always been more of a lover than a fighter. But when he steals from the wrong people and gets caught he has to pay the price. Hektor takes Lucan under his wing, and soon into his bed. They develop really strong feeli
