When hard-driving CEO Rick Nordan arrives in Lobster Cove under strict orders from the family doctor to take a break, he discovers the rental house comes with a family attached, including one sexy dynamo of a caterer. She's nothing like his ex-fiancee who wouldn't sign a pre-nup, but maybe that means she's the real deal and not a gold digger.

Maya Cruz wants life for her wi

Recommends it for: fans of modern romance novels
Author: Nicci Carrera
Published: 26/11/2014

I received this novel for free through GoodReads FirstReads competitions.

I thought that this was an absolutely brilliant novel to read, I really enjoyed it and didn't really want it to end, it is a very entertaining novel to read. The descriptive words that the other uses really help to capture the readers attention and to keep hold of it right through until the end of the novel. The characters that feature in the book (Maya and Rick) are very realistic

Love Caters All is entertaining, and the author’s descriptive style is captivating. But for me, it fell short of a four cup rating for two reasons. First, I am not a fan of the immediate and intense lust trope, which the book presented within the first chapter. It prevented me from really getting to like Maya and Rick for who they were, instead of how sexy they were. Second, I did not always accept Maya’s and Rick’s reasons for becoming angry with one another (which were a recurring source of co ...more

A very good romance story, with some pretty sultry passages. The author has penned a satisfying tale here, it is well written and fun to read. I can relate to being a short chick who likes her heels, as Maya is, and as she does. There are some very good family scenes as well and I like the interaction between Maya and her mother a lot. As you have probably guessed by the title, food plays a big part in the story. Maya is a caterer and her love interest, Rick, is a jaded CEO looking for a peacefu ...more

I really enjoyed this modern romance by Nicci Carrera. The characters are well presented and the book reads easily. It is hard to find a part of the book I didn't like. Maya and Rick go through a hard time in the beginning as misunderstanding and past history get in the way. But love usually finds a way. An old cliché but a true one! Maya is a caterer and a salt of the earth type. Rick is a CEO and used to having things his way. Sparks are sure to fly. A delightful book by an up and coming autho

**Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from Goddess Fish promotions in exchange for a fair and honest review.**
Rick is told he needs to take a vacation by his DR for his health. He rents a cabin and off he goes. However, when he shows up, it’s not quite what he expected. It comes with a welcome by the Cruz family and hot fresh cookies. An attractive, feisty, outgoing grabs his attention during his welcome. He is only there for two weeks, can he have a short, no strings attached fling? Will

I loved the Cruz family. Such a beautiful tight nit clan that cares deeply for each other, but not afraid to speak their minds either. Rick Norton is introduced to the Cruz family, thanks to his doctor, who tells him he needs a break from the stress of his job and the city. The ever so delightful and helpful doctor even has the perfect cottage to melt his cares away that just so happens to be attached to the Cruz family.

The romance between Maya and Rick is sweet. They both have a physical attrac

A great first novel

The characters grab you from the beginning and hold your attention through to the end. The story is engaging and entertaining. The only complaint is it leaves the reader wanting more... now I want the twins stories. And...spoiler alert....what's up with the new CEO Daniel, is he going to sell out Rick's company?

I really enjoyed this romance between Maya, a strong heroine who supports her mother and twin sisters, sacrificing every day to give them a better life. And a Silicon Valley CEO, Rick, who is willing to get his hands dirty to help her and her family. Through clashes and misunderstandings, they both learn a lot about life and each other. A well spun tale of love and family.

Love Caters All
By Nicci Carrera

Book Review by Mystie Dragonfly

In this charming little story, CEO Rick Nordan follows his doctor’s orders and takes an “off the grid” time off from real life in the little vacation town, Lobster Cove. While there, he meets Maya Cruz. A little spit-fire of a woman who is trying to live an exquisite life on her food truck budget.

We quickly learn that though Rick is the CEO, Maya is the one with a head for business. Constantly trying to better herself and her famil

This story had a really good plot. It had a lot of potential. It just fell a little short of what it could have been for me. The main characters, Maya and Rick, meet when Rick shows up to rent her family home for 2 weeks to take a much needed break from work. He’s been instructed by his doctor to take a break before he works himself to death. Rick’s got some emotional baggage. He’s recently lost his father. He has no relationship

This was just what I needed: a sweet romance where I could fall in love with the characters and their story. A feel good read to put me in a good mood.

When Rick is ordered to take a complete break from work by his doctor, he finds himself in Lobster Cove staying at Maya's family home. While there is chemistry between them, there is also lots of verbal sparring as Rick thinks he knows best as he questions Maya's choices in life and business. Maya's independent nature is her biggest enemy in this

Nicci lives in California with her husband. She loves to read and thinks a great book is one in which you can lose yourself, thinking about it all day long until falling back into it at night (and on lunch breaks).

When her work-in-progress is going well, she drinks organic unsweetened almond milk, and when it isn’t, she mainlines chocolate.
