I found this book to be helpful and written in an interesting manner so that I was happy to keep reading. That’s not true of all books in the medical field, so this is refreshing. I believe I have a better understanding of the different types of strokes people get as well as what to do to reduce my risk of having additional strokes.

A bit out of date, published in 2005. Does not mention new blood thinner drugs such as Xarelto. Nutrition advice is conventional low fat and does not address carbohydrates in the diet.

A logical quick read of the topic. Author has a practical problem solving perspective stroke experiences. They keep the material current.
