Although the story around the murder was rather far-fetched, nevertheless it was very entertaining and I liked following the SFC along.

Apparently, even when Skyler Foxe leaves to Palm Spring, murder and mayhem still a way to find him! *laugh*.
Skyler, Keith, and the rest of the SFC posse go together to attend the annual White Party. But then when dancing, one of the guests is murdered. Turns out he was an FBI agent who went undercover to reveal illegal gun selling. Since Skyler bears resemblance to the deceased, the other FBI agents involved with the case rope him to replace the guy.
Desert Foxe takes a slight departure from the previous books -- this time we get multiple POVs not just from Skyler and Keith but also the rest of the SFC members, including Skyler's two teenager students who sneak their way (with fake IDs!) to the White Party.
On one hand, it is good to get a '360 degrees' angle from everyone; to keep track about what is going on when Skyler is involved with the undercover sting. It is also nice to get to know the others narrative voices. But on the other hand, the non-linear storytelling sort of takes the edge of tension from the whole story.
Few things about the mystery are a bit hard to believe -- on that note . I still don't understand how Keith can work part time as FBI agent... but I guess I'll call that artistic license.
By the way, for the first time I feel a little bit sympathetic to Keith when he has to face all of the Skyler's conquests at the White Party . I guess I cut him some slack this time for his uber-protective, possessive, and jealousy attitude *grin*.

***Audiobook***Narrated by Joel Leslie***More shenanigans with Skyler and the SFC! This time they are in Palm Springs for the White Party and find themselves mixed up in an FBI investigation of Indian gangs manufacturing and selling illegal guns. Excellent narration as always from Joel Leslie. 5 stars!!

This series just keeps getting better and better for me. The SFC is back and this time Skyler gets to play with the big boys. No, I’m not talking about appendage size here - lol! I’m talking about the fact he gets his chance to go undercover for real with the FBI. So yes, this is most definitely notching Skyler’s investigation talents up a notch for sure and as usual it’s something he never plans but just wrong place wrong time again.
Every year Skyler and his friends go to a “white party” at Palm Beach. To be honest I always find the idea of these parties somewhat over the top anyway, but if you’re going to have a backdrop for another Skyler Foxe mystery than this is hilarious in many ways. This is what I love so much about this series is alongside the serious business of murder investigation there is a light heartedness and natural humour there that had me laughing and smiling like a loon. For me this is a perfect balance, love it.
This time Haley shifted the focus away a little from Skyler and Keith and in this book we have a lot more of Philip and Rodolfo, Alex and Rick. There is trouble in paradise at the beginning with Philip and Rodolfo, Philip wants to go to the white party as it’s a tradition with Skyler and Rodolfo doesn’t. These two guys are polar opposites and although they seem to be constantly bickering at the beginning they do get things sorted and it’s nice to see how opposites can be good for each other. Rodolfo is a hot head due to his Latin temperament and Philip is the cool, calculating and needs everything to be planned type. On occasions you could bang their heads together just like the rest of their friends but on the other you just smile as you know they can’t live with each other anyway. So it was nice to see these two bonding and becoming stronger after they get over each other’s tantrums. Jamie and Dave are still going strong so maybe we might get a little more of their relationship in the next book. So the chapters are nicely balanced out just giving a little more attention to the other characters.
As for Alex and Rick well I just loved the way Skyler reacted when he saw his underage students turn up to the white party. But seriously, these guys are your typical teenagers, probably more trouble than they're worth but you just can’t help loving them all the same. They decided they wanted the “gay experience” two teenagers desperately trying to grow up and branching out into adults. So yes, they got in underage and on a shoestring budget. It was so cute seeing their innocence in many respects, completely agog at all the events at the party, caught between feeling like an adult but still a lot to learn. Yes, legally they shouldn’t be there but it’s difficult at this age to try and shelter them from absolutely everything and maybe that could do more harm than damage in the long run anyway. It’s like you have to introduce teenagers to life step-by-step, still being selective of where the limits are but knowing that they will have to learn certain things at certain times. I think this is the art of a good parent and teacher to realise that what you have in teenagers is basically “adults in training” so to speak.
Of course it wouldn’t be Skyler unless a dead body falls at his feet while on the dance floor at the white party. This draws him automatically into a web of lies and deceit. This leads on to him helping the FBI and going undercover to bust a ring of crooks. However, here I learnt a lot as in order to make the bust Skyler has to go to an Indian reservation. It was great reading about this other culture, as with any culture, the good points and bad, but in the whole good. I loved the way that the Indian culture never saw homosexuality as an aberration but was revered and gay people are known as Two Spirits. Sad to think that the influence of the west has also now tinged the thinking of this acceptance somewhat too. This mix of cultures, their differences, their good and bad points, makes for a beautiful moral in this story. It’s these differences that need to be respected and loved but alas, as is the case, far too often people only see the negative. Skyler is wonderful, empathetic and understanding but doesn’t put up with any injustice: I guess this is what makes him such a good investigator. There is one very touching scene where he has a conversation with a tribal elder that made me feel this respect that Skyler has for people.
Of course during all of this the boys, Alex and Rick, still need to be chaperoned home but as the plot thickens Skyler’s friends are called into the action and keep palming the teenagers off on to the other to get them home. This made me laugh too to see Alex and Rick being ping-ponged from the one adult to the next to take them home as they get dragged into the action one-by-one. Until finally Sidney is called in to take them home. I LOVE SIDNEY! This feisty cop with the black curly hair, a wisecrack for every situation and Skyler’s oldest and best friend. It felt like I was halfway through the book desperately waiting for Sidney to make an appearance. She always brings a smile to my face the minute she appears. I would also adopt her as a best friend too.
So once again the gang are in action, coming to the rescue and solving the case. There are a few twists in the plot that gave extra depth to it and kept me enthralled all the way to the end. The murder-mystery plots are not over complicated in this series which is also the attraction for me, again the balance I was talking about earlier. Another wonderful wonderful Skyler Foxe adventure and I’m now officially addicted to this series.
NARRATION
I have nothing more to add really to the narration from Joel Leslie. Another book wonderfully narrated and every bit as entertaining as the previous books. The voice characterisations have now settled down nicely compared to the first book giving a consistency that is a delight to hear. The one thing I felt that did change with this book is actually the quality of the recording. Now maybe it was just my ears but I always play my audiobooks using the Audible app in my car. The quality of this recording seems to be far superior to that of the previous books. I don’t know if different equipment was used, a different studio or recording technique but the clarity and quality of this recording has been the best by far. So another delightful performance by Joel and can’t wait to continue the series.

Another wonderful mystery for Skyler Foxe and the Scooby gang! I loved getting POVs from the other characters and Keith is redeemed after his crappy behavior in the last book. Everyone was a hero in some way or another. Joel Leslie gives life to every one of these characters and I absolutely love the audiobooks. I can't wait to start the next one!

Yes! Time for more fun and hijinks with Skylar, Keith and the SFC. This time, they're heading for the White Party in Palm Springs for a weekend of sexy good times with their boyfriends. Murder and Mayhem - and a couple of delinquent teens - have other ideas.
This was fun, and funny. I laughed several times, and I still enjoy hanging around with these guys. Walsh mixed things up a bit. Nearly the entire story takes place within a 24-hour time span, and most of that over the course of the night, so it's more condensed than other stories in this series. It was a great way to keep the momentum going (sort of, more on that in a sec) and helped with the suspense of disbelief as there was less time for all these guys to stop and ask if they should be doing what they're doing. (Some of them - No! Some of them - Yes!)
We also get multiple POVs for the first time, getting to see events taking place when Skylar isn't there. I did like getting to see glimpses of the other characters without it being filtered later with the "tell and catch up" aspect we get in previous books. There were a lot of sweet and touching moments between the various characters that just wouldn't have worked hearing about them second-hand, and we got to see how these characters actually relate to each other on their own.
The only thing I didn't like about this was that the storylines aren't told chronologically. Maybe that was an attempt to amp up tension and suspense, and maybe that would've worked better if I'd read it instead of listened to it. It didn't quite work for me, whatever the case, and I thought it would've flowed better and tighter if the storylines were closer together. It would've meant more scene jumps, but it would've kept the momentum going too, instead of stopping a scene mid-action, and then jumping to somewhere else to play catch up with the other guys. That's just my opinion though. Others might not have the same issues and prefer it the way it's told.
There are a couple of niggles: the generic "Asian" guy. Asia's a pretty large continent. Is he Russian? Chinese? Cambodian? Indian? Israeli? Like, if you have a Canadian character, you wouldn't call him the North American. I would really like to see authors at least narrow down "Asian" to a specific country, if nothing else.
I know some people will have issues with the terms "Native American" and "Indian" being used interchangeably. I personally don't see how one is really better or worse than the other. But my opinion doesn't matter and I'm not getting into that here. After I finished the book, I even went back and downloaded an earlier book, wondering if it'd just been too long and I'd forgotten what he sounded like, that maybe after the smooth silkiness of Chris Patton, Leslie just sounded gruffer by comparison. Part of it was that, but his voice is a wee bit on the scratchy side here. I hope he wasn't sick and it was just an issue of recording equipment instead. :( To be clear, he still knocks it out of the park and does a great job, overall, especially with all the SFC. Except he mispronounced "dour" as "doer" at one point. I did have issue with his "big guy" voice, or Keith's voice. I love it for Keith's voice. Well, I really was delighted by this book. And, for once, I enjoyed a lot the multiple POVs, which worked really well in telling this story.
I also had a lot of fun with the kids showing up at the White Party and with all the subsequent shenanigans that it provoked.
The plot was... a little bit on the wild side *laughs* Nevertheless, I enjoyed it a lot because I wasn't totally sure about what was really going on nor about who the bad guys were in the story
And Sydney was awesome here, even when she managed to lose the kids *dies laughing*

My favorite TSTL English teacher / amateur sleuth Skyler Foxe is back and going on vacation to Palm Springs for the annual White Party and bringing the SFC and his boo, Keith, along for the ride. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, murder, underage kids sneaking into the party, relationships hanging by a thread, skinny dipping, butt plugs and cock rings...
This series is just plain fun to listen to.
While the rest of the series has focused on Skyler's POV, I loved that Walsh switched it up this time allowing for multiple points of view including Skyler, Keith, Phillip, Jamie, Sidney, as well as Skyler's students Alex and Rick as well as telling the story in a less linear fashion.
I adore Joel Leslie's narration of this series. It consistently amazes me just how many great and distinct character voices he does so well. I love how immersive his narration is, drawing me into each story and keeping my interest until "the end". He's reliably entertaining to listen to and I always enjoy his performance.
As always, this series is fun, silly, humorous, sexy, and sometimes over the top, with one of the most likable TSTL characters in the genre.

I really enjoyed this story with several characters getting some pov time. Jamie and Keith get pulled into another mystery, and you can see the growing trust between them as they head to a circuit party in Palm Springs. There is a peek into Rodolfo and Phillip's relationship. Phillip has always seemed sort of colder than the rest of the SFC so it was cool to see his thoughts. Jamie and Dave are a fairly newer couple and you can see how they are still in the having fun phase and not ready for settling down completely. Skyler's best friend Sidney has a boyfriend and she is feeling the distance grow between her and Skyler. As she tries to pull his butt out of another fire she is equally annoyed at having to do so again and anxious to see him again so they can get back their strong friendship. I really liked the pov of the teenagers Alex and Rick, two gay teenage students of Skyler's. They are trying to navigate their first real relationships and their hormones so they sneak into an over 21 party in order to see what they gay lifestyle is about. They didn't expect to run into their teacher or be handed off among Skyler's friends to be babysat when they are caught. Alex really comes into his own and considers what he might do for a living when even they get caught up in the murder investigation.
It was such a great story, I loved the mystery. When I started out the series, I was unsure of Joel Leslie as a narrator. His voice took a bit getting used to for me, but he has become Skyler Foxe for me. There are some narrators that really end up defining a role for me more than the character description does. The amount of different accents and voices he attributed to the characters in this book was amazing.

***Audiobook Review***
So, I’m a bit of an audiobook snob. I shunned it for a LONG time - listening to a book is NOT reading a book; and I’m still EXTREMELY picky when it comes to selecting which books I listen to and which vocal performers I put on my short list of favorites. I can say without a doubt that I would rather listen to this series than read it (and trust me…that’s a HUGE compliment).
Joel Leslie IS these characters to me…and if I were to just read it myself, I’d hear his voice in my head. His perfect vocal performance helps me visualize these characters in my head that I would completely miss out on if I simply read it myself.
I feel a little tipsy listening to these books because they just make me so ridiculously happy (I look like a little bit of a loon while listening because I constantly have a smile on my face during each story). The cast of characters is outstanding (and I’m 100% confident they’re made so much better with Mr. Leslie’s performance).
If you haven’t listened to this series…you absolutely must.
So, I’m a bit of an audiobook snob. I shunned it for a LONG time - listening to a book is NOT reading a book; and I’m still EXTREMELY picky when it comes to selecting which books I listen to and which vocal performers I put on my short list of favorites. I can say without a doubt that I would rather listen to this series than read it (and trust me…that’s a HUGE compliment).

Desert Foxe is the fifth book in this series and they just keep getting better. Skyler and his group of friends go to the annual Palm Springs White Party, amidst some drama and reservations. Arriving, Keith, Skyler’s boyfriend, is not happy with the number of ex-hookups present and another one of the group winds up solo. It does not take long for trouble to come Skyler’s way in the form of a man murdered, dropping right at Skyler’s feet. Skyler, of course, cannot keep out of the investigation especially when he is asked to help, much to Keith‘s dismay.
These books are so much fun to read. There is just the right touch of humor to balance the danger and suspense. There is romance in many ways and shapes as well as relationship drama. All of this combines to make an excellent read. If you have been following Skyler Foxe and his SFC, don’t miss Desert Foxe.

I can appreciate that the author wanted to change things up by providing different points of view in this installment to the series, but honestly the execution of the timing was off so much that it seriously put me out.
At one point two characters enter the maintenance hall in the hotel to find another two characters in a skirmish. Following that a different set of two characters follow the same two characters away from the reservation, which is then followed by the same two characters still on the reservation before they left. Timing just off. Then one of the characters butt-dials another character but when it moves to his point of view, he’s doing something else, not answering his phone until much later in the scene. The result: the author told me what was going to happen in the next scene before the time was appropriate. I just did not like it.
In addition, the mystery in this one was just a little too fishy which made it too obvious. I just did not think this book held up to the earlier installments of the series. I hope I don’t feel the same way about the rest of them.

This is not so much a review as a confused reader. There was a scene at the very beginning of the book that didnt end up trying into the story at all. In fact I am not even sure who was even in the scene or what it was about. Did anyone else notice this? Also, if yall like this series then I would suggest giving Josh Lanyon a try too.

Skyler Foxe is off to Palm Springs for some well deserved fun…
In typical style Skyler can’t keep away from trouble. I like the way this story was told. Through the eyes of not only Skyler, but the SFC and others. Really made it fun to see what others think. 4.0 for Fake IDs.

I love this series - especially in audiobook format. The multiple POVs in Desert Foxe was a real treat and I hope to see more of this as I continue on through the series.

At last!!! A book out of a series that the author claims can be a standalone novel that really is! Even if I hadn’t read one of the previous novels of this series, I would have been able to sit and read this book without wondering what was going on to get the characters here. Bravo! We also have a wonderful story with lots of sex, passion and intrigue that kept me up all night wondering what happens next.
We begin with Skyler Foxe, a high school English lit teacher and his FBI boyfriend, Keith Fletcher, head football coach and biology teacher. No, Keith isn’t undercover, just taking a break from the world of espionage and spending time with his man. They decide to go to the annual white party in Palm Springs that had already been booked and paid for earlier in the year by Skyler and his friends, Jamie, Phillip, Rudolpho and Dave. Despite misgivings and inner squabbling by some of the men, they pick up and head out for what they hope is going to be a weekend of cold drinks, dancing with sexy men and hot nights of passion. Seems like a fun filled weekend doesn’t it? Not so fast , they get there alright and strip down to their tighty whities and immediately encounter two of their sixteen year old students that have snuck in and are roosting like a couple of baby roosters at the party! They immediately arrange for their return home, unmolested by the crowds of gorgeous men. Next, a Skyler look alike collapses at Skyler’s feet. So much for a not so quiet weekend away from home. While at any other party it would just have been someone indulging in too much tequila, this man is stone cold dead. Enter the “not on hiatus” FBI men. Our dead guy was an agent on a mission to stop gun running on Indian land that the American government can’t legally stop unless they have actual proof in the way of pictures and audio before they can step foot on sovereign Indian land. They want Skyler to assume the identity already established by the deceased agent and help them as there is no time to get anyone else with such an uncanny resemblance to the dead agent in place. They need him and they need him now to help gather the evidence needed because the meeting has already been set up for that evening. They assure Skyler and Keith that it will be an in and out job and that he will be accompanied by an insider who knows the tribe and what is needed to shut them down. Enter long tall sexy Indian John Patencio, a member of the tribe who has made some mistakes and is now trying to put his life right. John is actually the man responsible for alerting the government to the criminals operating within the Indian community. Nothing goes as planned and the mission goes crazy and doesn’t go as advertised. To say that the mission reaches very dangerous levels is an understatement. Luckily Skyler and friends can handle the upsets as this isn’t their first time in the middle of chaos not of their making. Skyler seems to have the skills to handle just about anything thank heavens. I really don’t want to give to much more of the plot away but this book has so many interesting ins and outs and action between the mission and the characters that you just can’t put it down. It really is worth discovering on your own, and I recommend you pick it up. I can guarantee that this book does not bore!!

Although this book is in a series it can be read as a stand alone. I give this book 4 stars.
This book is all page turning action with a touch of romance. I never knew what to expect next. With just enough twist and turns to keep you on the edge, but not loose you, it is a great read.
I love that these guys don't have a problem putting their life on the line to save others, or to get the bad guy, even when they are on vacation. There selfless nature makes it hard to not fall in love with them. The action and adventure makes it nearly impossible to put the book down. I can't wait to read the next one!

Skyler and Keith were a great couple. They both respected each other's careers, each other and loved each other - despite neither of them being too great at expressing it. This was a story of learning to show your love - to grab it, hold it and never let it go.
The plot was thick, with twists and turns that were not easily guessed, until Walsh wanted the reader to be aware. I really liked the story - the characters were funny, loving, loyal and the younger ones were mischievous.
Keith is a brawny man who loves Skyler fiercely. Even though Skyler has a colorful past, Keith is able to look beyond Skyler's many past lovers and agrees to go to the white party - which Skyler used to use as a place to hook up. While there, the murder that takes place is strange and mysterious. What follows is a story with so many ins and outs; the characters who are friends with Skyler and Keith have their own issues, but when they realize that their friends might be in trouble, nothing will stop them from helping out.
The two young boys, who Skyler and Keith have both mentored and taught make for a more light story line, but one that is crucial to showing the reading that both Skyler and Keith have helped to shape young lives.
I also liked how the protagonist was not really a bad person; more misguided than anything, he tried to do the right thing in the end. There was really no vilifying him, which I liked. I believe people can change - should be allowed to change. Walsh did an excellent job at showing that compassion in this protagonists' life.
I really enjoyed this story and would love to read the ones prior to this - however, like I stated at the beginning of this review, the previous books were not necessary.

Desert Foxe is actually the first book of the Skyler Foxe mystery series that I have read. While knowing the character’s histories would have been nice, I was able to easily follow the story without having read any of the previous books.
Skyler and his friends are heading to Palm Springs to the White Party. What is the White Party? It seems to be every gay boys dream come true with scantily clad gay men dancing, partying, swimming and just letting loose and enjoying an out and proud weekend. Skyler’s boyfriend Keith isn’t thrilled with the idea of being presented with so many of Skyler’s previous hook-ups but he tries to rein in the jealousy as best he can. Surrounded by several of his very good friends, Skyler is looking forward to a weekend of excitement but certainly not the type he finds!
From the very beginning of Desert Foxe, we get the impression that Skyler is prone to falling into trouble and he is also incredibly well loved by his friends. Trouble comes in the form of a murder on the dance floor and it’s a good thing he is so well loved because he needs every single one of his friends to keep him from getting himself killed, too!
The mystery in Desert Foxe is very well thought out and the author really seems to have done her research regarding Native American culture and customs. I found it incredibly interesting to read! This is a nice long story which really gives the author plenty of time to develop not only the mystery but the characters themselves. I loved getting to know Skyler’s teenage students…maybe there will be a followup story for them so I know whether their relationship survives the test of time!
I really enjoyed the way this story moved from one point of view to another. Each chapter would give us a look at the situation from a slightly different angle and the story would pick up again just a few minutes BEFORE the last chapter ended. It really helped me get a feel for what was going on since there are many characters and several different locations to keep track of.
Overall Desert Foxe was a great read. Just enough romance and humor to keep the book flowing but the mystery was definitely the central focus of this story. I will definitely be checking out a few of the other books in this series!

Desert Foxe is book five in the Skyler Foxe Mysteries series by Haley Walsh and continues the crazy antics of the young English teacher turned amateur sleuth, Skyler Foxe.
This time around Skyler, his boyfriend Keith, and their friends all head to the annual Palm Springs White Party, a tradition for the SFC. This year’s excursion is about having a good time since the guys have found themselves attached. With jealousy rising and tempers flaring, they get off to a rocky start.
THIS YEAR’S EXCURSION IS ABOUT HAVING A GOOD TIME
What a wild concoction of events that unfold for this hilarious bunch. There is murder, mayhem, scantily clad men, butt plugs, cock rings, and skinny dipping that adds up to a totally unbelievable adventure. But… who cares, this is just an all-around laugh out loud good time.
MURDER, MAYHEM, SCANTILY CLAD MEN
Yes, the story centers on the latest murder, and yet again Skyler gets pulled into the investigation. Here the investigation goes through many obvious outcomes that are woven together in such a way that the answers are revealed only when the author intends them to be and not before.
The entire crew Skyler, Keith, Phillip, Rodolfo, Jamie, Dave, and Sidney, along with Skyler’s underage students Alex and Rick are present. Talk about awkward – Skyler and his students in their underwear! For a change this story alternated POVs between the characters instead of focusing primarily on Skyler’s. It was great to see into the thoughts of the gang and provided a stronger connection to each of them.
TALK ABOUT AWKWARD
Desert Foxe is a hilarious fast based mystery adventure more than a romance. The story twist and turns, keeping you engaged wondering what is coming next. While fifth in the series, this one could probably standalone with the guys having been taken out of their natural habitat.
Desert Foxe is one wild and crazy adventure not to be missed!
Narration: Joel Leslie’s narration is superb once again. His portrayal of each and every character is unique. His voice inflection is vibrant and strong. He provides a widely entertaining performance from beginning to end. At this point in the series, there is no one that can do Skyler, the SFC, and others any better.

A Bit of a Hoot and A Lot of Love
This installment in an always plot-innovative series brings together virtually every character who has been introduced by author Walsh along the way, and the meeting place is absolutely incongruous for this whole crowd: The annual gay White Party in Palm Springs, where Skyler, his lover Keith, the members of the SFFC (you have to read the first book to get the definition), their cop friends and two of Skyler's besotted students all show up in one way shape or form-fitting costumes.
And then there is the plot twist. You might raise an eyebrow here and there as to how school teacher Skyler manages to get mixed up in an FBI investigation without his lover Keith, a football coach at Skyler's school who is also an undercover FBI agent at times. And you might get a bit annoyed at how all of the characters (including Sydney, Skyler's best friend female cop) can be such drama queens, but the upshot is worth getting to.
That upshot is for me to know and you to find out, but I will hint that it involves character reversals one has not seen so far between Skyler and Keith, and it is the saving grace which moves this one up from 3.5 to four stars. Worth it.

So I said book 4 was my favorite of the series so far, but now that I’ve read this one, book 5, THIS one is my favorite. This book was so good. I loved how Skyler’s friends were important parts of helping this time. They weren’t reluctantly led in by Skyler like before. They came in to help at logical times when their assistance was warranted. It was interesting to see into their heads some and their thought processes. I loved that we saw them get closer with their significant others and be closer to their own happily ever afters. Keith was wonderful in this book. He was protective of Skyler but he also got to see first hand how he reasons through problems when he’s doing his “Scooby Doo” thing. I’m interested how Keith’s stamp of approval for Skyler to investigate the future will go. This 5th installment in this very engaging series is so much fun and action packed. Previous books are restricted to Skyler's viewpoint. But this time I love that all the well loved characters in this series are given their own point of view, which inject so much life and fun into the whole story. I also love that Alex and Rick have joined the little family of Skyler, Keith, Sydney and our SFC boys. The crime itself could be better thought out but this is more than compensated by the fun, fast pace, action packed scenes and most of all the perfect fitting of all the characters in the crime mystery. Every one of the gang has an active and important role in the plot, each one moving the exciting plot along, which makes it so much more fun to read. I hope the writer continues with this style of viewpoint switch among these lovable characters.

I love reading a series as I can gain so much with each new book. Desert Foxe is no exception. This time the friends are travelling to a White Party and of course there is murder, mystery and mayhem. How's that for alliteration?
Skyler ends up impersonating a murdered agent, helps to investigate a stolen guns crime, solves a murder, helps his friends survive relationship woes and this all happens within a very small time frame.
What a ride it was. The writing was excellent - but I expect that from Ms. Walshe - and the story was well thought out.
How can one English teacher get into so much trouble?

Audiobook Review:
This is my favorite of the series so far. Primarily because we finally have other character's POVs. Skylar and Keith of course, but also all the SFC, Rick, Alex and Sidney, YEAH!!!! It is so great to hear from those guys. They are active participants in the latest murder mystery (which is one of the best with a surprise twist I didn't see coming) and we also hear how they feel about their respective relationships. I hope we continue to hear from them. As for Joel Leslie, what is there left to say, he puts in another stellar performance.

I love the Skyler Foxe books, but fans of the series will this even more as it is written from not just Skyler's POV. Being in Keith's head was so good, and I hope Haley continues to do so in future books.
The story was a typical Skler mystery, at the White Party in Palm Springs, it was a fun and quick read.
