A sexy second chance romance from NY Times and USA Today bestselling author Jessie Evans.

The home run neither of them expected...

Pike Sherman is a legend in Lonesome Point, a hometown boy who made it to the big leagues. Literally. Professional baseball acquired one hell of a pitching arm and its latest celebrity bad boy when the gifted Pike was drafted seven years ago. Pike's broken heart came along for the ride, too, but he kept that private, and since leaving Lonesome Point has kept his distance from his hometown. But when Pike's little sister, Mia, begs him to be the Dude of Honor at her wedding, he can't refuse. He takes advantage of a break in the season and returns home to find himself thrown together with the one woman he never wanted to see again.

Tulsi Hearst is on the verge of losing her Equine Therapy business, and letting down all the kids she's come to love. After a mix-up with the grant board, she needs to concentrate on finding more funding, not dealing with Pike Sherman, the boy she sacrificed so much for, and the one person she's ever lied to. And what a lie it is... Pike would hate her if he found out. She knows she should stay far away from the brooding man her summer love has become, but Tulsi can't resist a slow dance with the only boy who ever made her blood rush.

After just a few days back in Lonesome Point, Pike can't imagine life without the girl he left behind, but when Tulsi's secret is revealed, his heart is broken all over again. The only thing worse than losing Tulsi, is losing six years with the daughter he didn't know he had.

I'm back in Lonesome Point, Texas and I didn't realize exactly how much I'd missed it until Pike realized exactly how much he'd missed it too. But miss it I did, and reading Diamonds and Dust felt a little like coming home. Warming, fun and happy. With a side of annoyance. Yep, that definitely sounds like a trip home...

After many years away from Lonesome Point, making it in the big leagues as a Major League Baseball pitcher, Pike Sherman is back in town for his sister's wedding. And as soon as his responsibilities are fulfilled, he's out of there once again. At least, that's the plan until he sees the woman who broke his heart for the first time since that day seven years ago... Tulsi Hearst.

Seeing Tulsi again makes Pike realize that he never stopped loving her, and that's he's looking at his second chance. He's determined to grab it, and Tulsi, and make up for lost time. Except Tulsi still has a big secret, and if revealed, it has the potential to end them again. This time, for good...

Pike! Pike! He's amazing, and possibly by favorite hero of this series so far. (Admittedly, I may have said that about Sawyer and Robert too, but hey, that's okay, right? I have a lot of love to give.) I loved this character, I loved that he was all Alpha male, but also not afraid to be a little romantic and hopeful too. It was a good balance between that growly, you're mine thing that Alpha men do, and the I want to hold you and love you forever thing that makes all my girly parts tingle.

As much as I enjoyed Pike and as much as I love second chance romances, though, I struggled with this one at times. Because the selfish decisions of the characters, which I usually overlook, bothered me so much more here. Because of Clem.

Don't get me wrong, I really, truly enjoyed this story. But I struggled with Tulsi, and her decision-making, a lot. She was selfish and blind, and although I tried to sympathize with her, I spent a good portion of this book frowning at her. There again, I also felt sorry for her. I liked her, I was mad at her. I think Ms. Evans did a good job of making Tulsi seem real and her mistakes human. That doesn't mean I wasn't annoyed with them though.

Diamonds and Dust was another wonderful installment in this sexy cowboy series. It quickly captured my attention, despite my reservations about Tulsi, and I soon found myself addicted to the story, the town and the characters, and determined to finish. I loved that we got to see Sawyer and Mia, and Robert and Marisol, and now I can't wait to see what/who Ms. Evans has for me next. On to Glitter and Grit! ~ Beth, 4 stars

4 To Let the Past Go and Forgive Stars * * * *

Wow... where to begin this review....First, the superficial... this cover rocked...now that I got that over with... the story... and what a story it was....

Love born in childhood... a little girl saved by a friend's older brother... nurtured over the years and finally recognized by the boy/now young man in a moment of her frustration... She, finally being frustrated by always being in the "little sister friend zone", lashes out and tells him of how long she has loved him and how blind he has been... As if conked on the head by this news, the boy sees his feelings he has had for her over the years for what they were... and their love is finally expressed...Kisses... dating and finally becoming one happens.

But life gets in the way.... he is on the brink of a major baseball career... she is finding her own way with the horses she handles and both have complex families to deal with....

Fast forward 7 years... Fast forward 7 years of miscommunication, of non disclosure and festering emotions.... how do people who have carried "their" versions of the same story see their way clear of getting along for a wedding of the sister... the best friend...How indeed...

We have a beautiful yet emotional story of how an omission can grow into a lie and how it impacts so many.... people love... they love deeply and then they are victims of how others can manipulate information causing such huge misunderstandings... The ramifications of these perceptions are hard to fight...it takes the desire to let the past go... can people be strong enough to do this... this is the heart of this story.

This was well done... the author gave us the set up and head space of each character. You felt their frustration, pain and love. You were there knowing when they got together... because their feelings were just too strong not to... it would be good. You also knew things would happen which would be challenging for them... and hoped they would rise above the hurt.

This was not my first book with this author; this series has a certain charm which makes for easy reading. If you like guys... men with old fashioned charm and sex appeal... some western flavor and heat... then this is a terrific series to enjoy. And... the covers just keep getting better and better!

Tulsi Sherman is about to come face to face with her past. Her best friend's brother, Pike Sherman is coming back to town after seven years away. Seven years after they secretly broke each other's hearts. He made mistakes and so did she. She has kept a big secret, and at some point he is bound to find out what it is.

There's a thin line between love and hate and when they are reunited, neither is sure about what to think. Although they want to still hate each other for past issues, it is obvious that they can't. But their initial interactions are tentative, anxiety inducing, and confusing. They still have chemistry and unresolved feelings. And despite his unresolved anger, it does not take Pike long to realize what he has been missing. But Tulsi has her reason for trying to keep him at arm's length.

Meanwhile, they are both struggling with career issues and some family dynamics adding to their stress. There were also some tense situations that they have to deal with.

When they were younger, they had such a sweet love story. A newly exposed long time crush eventually leads to love, but they kept it to themselves. They had such compatibility, connection, and were young carefree spirits. But as changes occurred in their lives, mistakes were made, and misommunication led to doubt. And with doubt came a decision that changed both of their lives.

And in the present, although those doubts, insecurities, and anger are still simmering under the surface, they can't stop the pull or the fact that they still have such unresolved feelings that never really died. Pike has his dream career as a major league pitcher, although he is sidelined by an injury. He has been going through the motions, living the high life, and did not realize how unconnected he had become. Tulsi gives everything to her daughter and her equine therapy business and does not really pursue relationships or new connections. I really loved Pike and Tulsi together. They were sweet, passionate, and so good together. It was funny seeing them still trying to keep their mutual interest a secret from all of their nosy friends and family. And Tulsi was hiding something else from all of them.

But will the secrets from the past end up ruining their second chance for a future?

The characters from the other books are back: Mia, Sawyer, Bubba, Marisol, and Ugly Ross. This is a tight knit group of friends that make up a strong pseudo family. I enjoy seeing the continuation of their relationships. We also get to know a bit more about Tulsi's bull riding sister, Reece who will be the subject of the next book Glitter and Grit. I also adored Tulsi's precocious six year old daughter, Clementine. She just had such a huge personality that just shined though in every scene she was in.

This was a fast, fun, sweet read about first love, second chances, and soul mates. I really enjoy this series even though they are not highly angsty or full of long lasting drama. The situations may be tense, but they seem to resolve fairly quickly and do not drag on too long. But sometimes you just need something that makes you feel good while enjoying familiar characters with fun rapport. I easily get sucked into the little town of Lonesome Point and am looking forward to my next visit.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

So…some of you may remember my rant at the end of my review for Saddles and Sin urging you NOT to read the prologue provided to let you see what to expect from Diamonds and Dust.

“Oh yeah…here is my little warning I feel the need to share with you guys…

DO NOT READ THE FREAKING PROLOGUE AT THE END OF THIS BOOK…OMG SERIOUSLY…YOU CAN’T BUY DIAMONDS AND DUST UNTIL NOVEMBER AND THIS PROLOGUE IS JUST PLAIN MEAN HEHE

Okay so I may be exaggerating a tad…but seriously…I am literally stalking the page for the next book in the series…I am addicted and I HAVE to know what happens next!!!” ~Becca

I still stand behind that…unless you are ready to purchase Diamonds and Dust…don’t read that damn prologue! It should be considered cruel and unusual punishment!

I have adored every single book and am absolutely addicted to this series…

however, if I am being honest with myself Diamonds and Dust is my favorite.

I knew it would be! After reading that damn prologue I was hooked and on my knees begging to get the full book in my hands so I could read it!

Once that thing was on my kindle it was on! I locked myself in my room and read until I finished! Totally worth it!

OMG GUYS! This book…just damn!

We have all read the falling for my best friends brother trope before…hell it’s been done and done again so many times that I can’t even think of them all! But guess what?!? What Jessie pulled off in Diamonds and Dust is original and epic!

The relationship between Tulsi and Pike is so volatile…

so explosive…

so undeniable that even in the beginning of the book you just know that this story is going to be one of the best you have ever read!

Needless to say, Diamonds and Dust gets the MFEO stamp of approval for sure! This romance is one of my favorites ever and it would be a shame to not acknowledge that!

Tusli has been friends with Mia since kindergarten…and her crush on Mia’s sexy older brother Pike didn’t take long to form, especially when he saved her life! At the age of 18 Tulsi finally decides it’s time to confront Pike and see where things lead. After a spring filled with love and so much fun that neither thinks their relationship will ever end they manage to break one another’s hearts and their passion swings from love to hate.

After seven long years of avoiding one another the time comes when they have to deal with the issue. With Mia getting married there is no way they won’t have to be around one another and act civil, because no one knows that they were ever together! There are so many twists and turns in this plot that once you start it you won’t want to put it down!

I’ll admit that there were several times during the book that I stopped and thought “Well what the hell happened to make him/her think that?” or “Why in the crap did he/she do that!!”, however, it takes a very well written book to get me so emotionally involved and connected that I get angry with the characters for their choices. Diamonds and Dust had me laughing, crying, screaming, giggling and stomping my feet in frustration from page one!

What are you waiting for? Head on over to Amazon and splurge on ALL of the Lonesome Point Texas books! You won’t be disappointed!

I love the Lonesome Point Texas series and loved Leather and Lace and Saddles and Sin, but I do believe that Diamonds and Dust is my favorite so far. Jessie just keeps writing better and better books. She is extremely talented and has the ability to use the written word to evoke such deep emotions that it's almost painful sometimes. Tulsi has been in love with her best friend's brother, Pike, since she was a little girl. At 18, an opportunity presents itself in the form of Pike driving by her on the side of the road. She just can't keep her feelings to herself anymore, so she confesses to still having a crush on him and dares him to make a decision and kiss her or leave. He admits to having the same feelings for her and they spend a few months in each other's arms. Eventually it ends in heartbreak for them both and they don't see or hear from each other for 7 years. Once they come face to face again, there is anger, hurt and heat. Pike is still sexy and gorgeous and Tulsi can't stop thinking about him. Pike decides he still loves her and he wants her and he'll do whatever it takes to get her back. Can he convince her that their love is stronger than the past? Will she be able to tell him her secrets and believe that he will still love her? I laughed and cried and finished it in only a few hours! Diamonds and Dust is one of my favorite second chance romance stories and I'm a sucker for second chance love!

"And maybe I'm not as sweet as everybody thinks I am."
"Is that right?" he asked.
"That's right. So as far as I'm concerned, you have two options."
He nodded slowly, holding her gaze with an intensity that made her shiver, "I'm listening."
"Either get out of my way and let me forget you, or shut up and kiss me."

"I want to taste you so bad it's killing me. I want to see if you still taste like springtime." he said.

"And I think the country songs are wrong. You don’t fall in love; you choose it."

"I'm not going to eat supper with my family without underpants on, Pike Sherman. I have a wild streak, not a perverted one.

And one for Clementine who's 6.
"I promise to be good everyone will think I'm an angel come down from heaven." Clem said.
"And it's church camp , so no taking the name of the Lord in vain, and no 'flipping'," Tulsi added with a hard look. "Everyone will know what you're meaning to say and they will be shocked."

I have read the all of the novels in the Lonesome Point, TX Series and have loved them but this one has become my favorite! I sensed it from the start...

Tulsi and Mia have been friends forever and for as long as Tulsi can remember she has had a crush on her best friend Mia's brother Pike. He is four years older and seemed to only treat her like a sister until he couldn't any more. When she was finally right in front telling him what she thought about him, then it finally hit him. That was the feeling he has also had all these years. Too bad they broke each other's hearts....

Seven years later and they are trying to avoid one another. Pike is in town to be with his family and to do a meet and greet for his hometown fans, he is a pitcher in the Major leagues. He doesn't come home, he stays away from it but Mia needed him. Tulsi is a single mom to a feisty little girl and has her own issues to deal with and doesn't want to add another heartbreak from the only man she ever loved.

They hate each other. They love each other. They don't know how to feel. The passion is still there but the past is hard to move on from. Nobody even knows about their secret spring fling. They never forgot how it was to be together but they also can't forget the heartbreak. Pike wants to move on, he wants to start over but Tulsi is fighting back because of a secret she is holding on to. Can they leave their past in the past? Will the secret ruin them?

Like I said it was my favorite in the series. Pike is hot and cold and that just make him even sexier. He is the perfect amount of alpha with the mix of sweetness. He knows what he wants and doesn't give up. Tulsi is pretty awesome even though I was mad at her but she is independent, feisty, and a fun mom. And Clementine, her daughter is just precious and a little rock star in my book. I laughed, I cried and wanted to slap someone so a great mix of emotions.

Quotes:

At that moment, she understood that Pike Sherman hated her. He hated her with a passion as hot and intense s the passion they'd shared when hey we're kids.

It was true. Pike was the only person he had ever known her, inside and out, even the parts she was sometimes fraud to admit was there, and that's why he couldn't bear to be around him.

"It's always the quiet ones, you know," she said, continuing to giggle. "We're lol wild sex perverts, with dark, forbidden desires."

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I must admit that I find it hard to find anything about this series that I don't like. Each book keeps getting better and better and we get to see a little more about previous characters, keeping them alive with their stories along with our new characters. But this can be read as a stand alone story.

I think we had all pretty much guessed from book two what was going to happen with Pike and Tulsi and who Clementine's father really was. That part was a no brainer.

The best bit was seeing both Pike and Tusli reconnect and finding that their past only made them think of how the past no longer really mattered as they both still really loved each other and had never gotten over the other.

We have a few surprises, an accident and a wedding, along with some sweet moments between Pike and Tulsi.

Mia really shows how much of a friend she is to Tulsi and that she can forgive very easily and we get introduced to one of the main characters for the next book, Tulsi's big sister Reece. From the sounds of it, she's going to be a bit of a fire-cracker.

I'm really loving this series.

The men of Lonesome Point, Texas just keep getting better and better. Tulsi and Pike's story was absolutely fantastic. I cheered, i cringed, i laughed and i bawled (thanks for that :P )
Tulsi and Pike had a short whorl wind love affair when they were young that ended bad with a lot of Young adult misunderstandings and one BIG secret. while reading the book you can feel the train wreck that is going to out the secret, but it is a tear inducing surprise on how it comes out.
Thanks for another great read Jessie. I'm impatiently awaiting Reece's story

Awesome read!! A very well crafted story that grabs you right from the start. You can't help but cheer as Tulsi and Pike confront their past. After falling in love as teenagers, the relationship fell apart. He went off to a big time baseball career and she went home licking her wounds and pregnant. You'll want to read this to find out what happens when Pike returns to Lonesome Point for his sister Mia's wedding! I highly recommend this one.

This is such a sweet story of a second chance romance. Pike and Tulsi thought they had a love that would last but when Pike’s career took him out of Loansome Point things changed between the two of them. Now, years later, he is set to return knowing that he will have to face the woman he left behind.
While this book can be enjoyed as a standalone it does include the couples from the previous books.

5+ Star Rating!!

If someone had told me after reading the first two books in Jessie Evans' Lonesome Point series that I would love the third book even more, I would have called them crazy. I mean after meeting Sawyer and then Bubba (not to mention Carter from her holiday novella), I just couldn't fathom that my heart would shudder so deeply for Pike, but shudder it did. Diamonds and Dust is an amazing tale of second chances and such a deep and everlasting love that teaches you to forgive and overcome those things which can test your soul as well as test the goodness and love that lies deep within.

Tulsi had been infatuated with Pike since she was ten years old from the day he dove into the water and saved her from being washed downstream. But she always chose to keep her feelings for him to herself. That is until Spring break before graduation and she finally intimated to Pike that she had always had feelings for him. Upon his realization of how she felt, he admitted to her that he too had always felt the same way. They ultimately ended up inseparable and spending that amazing time together had bonded their hearts with a connection they never believed could be broken. But when a misunderstanding occurred between them, both of their hearts were crushed. Although that was seven long years ago, Tulsi always knew that deep down that love she had felt for Pike would forever be in her heart.

Pike is Longsome Point’s golden boy, having been drafted into Minor league baseball seven years ago and making it all the way to the big leagues. But when he returns home for his sister’s wedding, he has serious misgivings as the one woman who had held his heart – as well as being the only woman to have ever broken it – lives in his hometown and is his sister’s best friend. Still angered by the past, Pike just wants to get through with the wedding festivities and return to his home in Montana. But the moment his eyes meet Tulsi’s, all of the love he had ever had for her rapidly returns to the surface and the reflection of love in Tulsi’s eyes as well makes him realize that despite the misgivings of the past and the years of being apart, they both still love each other and Tulsi is and always will be the one woman who has possessed his heart and the one woman he cannot live without. But when a secret from the past is exposed, Pike must look deep within and decide if he can overlook the deception or if it will be enough to keep them apart.

There was an unforeseen moment in this story which pulled and tugged so deeply at my heart it was a good thing I had a box of tissues close by. It was a moment when put the test ultimately teaches the lesson of how precious life is and time spent with the ones you love can overcome those mistakes of the past and lead to a deeper and more profound love. Even now as I return to those pages and words written in my mind, I can still feel the burn in my throat and the tears threatening. I am always wowed when an author can make me feel so deeply. The connection between Pike and Tulsi is amazing and even though there are times in the story when they are saying they “hate” one another, you can feel the electrical pull they have, and the strength and depth of love they share emanates from the pages.

Excellent job Ms. Evans. Diamonds and Dust has indisputably earned a 5+ star rating from me and has definitely become my favorite Lonesome Point novel to date. I loved it!

Diamonds and Dust by Jessie Evans is the third book in her Lonesome Point, Texas series.

This story is about Pike Sherman (Mia's brother) who has been away playing professional baseball and Tulsi, Mia's best friend. I'm so totally pleased with myself when I saw this storyline coming when Pike was mentioned in the last book and Tulsi's reaction was what it was. Oh the angst...

Tulsi has been around for us since the beginning of the series. She's Mia's best friend. practically her sister they're so close. Mia was theone who helped Tulsi with Clementine when she was a baby. Late night feedings, colicy evenings filled with no sleep. Mia was there, helping. Tulsi is now struggling to keep her equine therapy business open and keep herself from falling apart when she learns that Pike, Mia's brother, will be back in town for Mia's wedding.

Pike hates coming back to Lonesome Point. Not only does he have a very hard time dealing with his father but it's home to th ewoman that ripped his heart straight out of his chest seven years ago. Tulsi was the one and only for him until the day she told him she was pregnant with another man's child.

Now that Pike's back, Tulsi is terrified he'll take one look at Clem and see who the father is. Once that happens she'll not only lose the last connection to Pike but she'll probably lose Mia too.

Another beautiful romance with some steamy romance and angsty drama. Love this series.

How had he survived for so long without her? She was the treasure he'd been hunting for, the precious thing he'd lost, and all the proof he needed to believe in miracles.~ Pike

I think everytime I read one of Jessie's books I say that she can't do any better and then I read the next one! Well, she's done it again and I have to say that this Lonesome Point TX series is quickly becoming my favorite!! I mean who doesn't love cowboys? Or ballplayers? But a mix of the two? Holy mother of hotness - I'm all in with this one in the form of Pike Sherman (plus did I mention that he plays for MY team, the St. Louis Cardinals?!)!! Yes well Jessie is winning all the points with Diamonds and Dust, the third book in this great series. I have to be honest that this is the one I've been waiting on since I met Tulsi Hearst in Leather and Lace. There was just something about Tulsi that resonated with me and I wanted to know more, and I think it was totally worth the wait.

D&D combines not only the above mentioned things I love, horses, baseball and hot guys - but also a second chance love story. I mean who doesn't like seeing the answer to what if become why not try? For Tulsi and Pike, it was obvious neither of them had truly moved on from the brief love that they experienced seven years ago; but these two are more than a little stubborn. Thankfully Pike decides that being happy is more important than his pride and that Tulsi is his happiness. For Tulsi, she still wants Pike but she's scared that the secret that she has kept will be the end to any chance of a happy ever after. And then there is Clementine, Tulsi's precocious little girl and the child Pike doesn't know he has. Tulsi is scared to death telling him will ruin any second chance possibility, but what if it doesn't?

I laughed and swooned and cried as I read this one. It was an emotional story but also one that I couldn't put down! I hope you won't want to put it down either!!

Diamond and Dust was another amazing read and my favorite thus far in the Lonesome Point Series. Jessie Evans once again delivered an amazing book. I knew when I read the insert at the end of Saddle and Sin that I was hooked on Pike! WOW, a cowboy and professional baseball player, can't beat that. I have also had a soft spot for Tulsi, a single mom raising her rambunctious daughter with the help of her best friend Mia. Since she was child, Tulsi has had a crazy crush on her best friend Mia's brother, Pike. At 18, she finally reveals her feelings for him, Tulsi daring Pike to either leave her alone so she could forget him or kiss her. Pike kisses her and reveals that he too has been crushing on her. They spend the next few months together before he leaves for the minor leagues. Eventually they drift apart, both heart broken and do not speak or see each other until 7 years later when Pike returns to Lonesome Point for Mia's wedding. The moment Tulsi and Pike see each other, there is anger and hate, but also an undeniable hunger for one another. They both realize that they still love each other, Pike ready to do anything to win Tulsi back. Tulsi finally gives in but she fears that the secret she holds will tear them apart for good. I love second chance romances, and Diamond and Dust ranks as one of the top on my list.

4.5 Stars!

If you are looking for a well-written, second chance romance, then Diamonds and Dust by Jessie Evans is for you. I found all of the characters in this book to be likeable, kindhearted and real. This is a loving and interesting read that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Ms. Evans always creates great storylines and personalities, which will forever keep me coming back for more. Diamonds and Dust is the third book from her Lonesome Dove series, and not only is it a terrific addition to her book library, it can be read as a standalone.

To begin with, the cover is hot and the combination of colors and fonts is quite alluring. Secondly, the two main characters Tulsi and Pike, are sexy, endearing and easy to identify with. Their second chance at love is fraught with passion, anger and a huge secret, but they are able to make a go of it because they love each other unconditionally. And lastly, the ending will make you smile from ear to ear.

Every book I have read by Ms. Evans is enjoyable and entertaining. In a nutshell, if you have some free time and want to read a passionate, second chance romance with a bit of spice, look no further than Diamonds and Dust.

Diamonds and Dust is Book 3 in the Lonesome Point, Texas series, and it is by far my favorite! I love Tulsi and Pike, oh Pike...

Tulsi is a single mom to 6 year old Clementine. Pike is a major league pitcher who comes back home for his sister Mia’s (and Tulsi’s best friend) wedding. All of these characters are so real, you feel as if you are there with them.

No one in Lonesome Point knows that Tulsi and Pike had a very brief love affair about 9 months before Clem was born and he left for the major leagues, and that secret has weighed on Tulsi all this time, especially with Pike back in town. Now Tulsi and Pike come face to face with their past in so many ways. This is such an amazing story and an emotional one as well.
By far, my favorite…love Pike 

I love it when I get introduced to new authors (new to me that is) through other authors. I love each of Jessie Evans’ books more and more!

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads"

Another lovely read in this heartwarming series. This is a fascinating study of two people who make a huge mistake when they are very young, and suddenly find that maybe there is a future after all. But how to straighten everything out, and survive under the pressure of expectation. Again a book which raises issues of how your parents can muck you up, but hopefully not irredeemably. This story is well told, works well and gives us a pleasing warm feeling by the end. Great escapism - and next we get to find out what Reece gets up to on the road as a female bull-rider, which I imagine will be less soft than this one!

Pike Sherman made it to the pros. As a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, he was at the top of his game when an injury sidelined him. Since his sister Mia's wedding was coming up, he decided to rehab in Lonesome Point, where he had been the high school phenom and where he had left a girl behind. Tulsi was that girl. She was also Mia's best friend and maid of honor.

Tulsi and Pike share a past full of secret love and misunderstanding. Can they survive the secrets and build a future, or will the truth drive them apart?

Jessie Evans is a new-to-me author. I like her style! Lonesome Point is an interesting place, but since this is the 3rd book in the series, I now want to read the first two!

First off the hero is a cowboy baseball player you can't go wrong there. The book right off the bat has my attention. I LOVED this book so much that I read it in a day. I literally could not put it down I wanted to see where Tulsi and Pike's journey was going. The love those two have for each other is amazing! I loved Clementine. The personality that little girl has, loved we got to see so much of it in this one. I will warn you the water works were on in this one so have the tissues handy towards the end. To me if the tears start flowing you have a winner of a romance book. Give this series a try because you'll definitely want to read this one.

i don't get how tulsi actually kept the big secret from pike for so many years, even after he came back to town and confessed that he's still in love with her, she still refuses to tell him the truth. and she actually wanted to be with him + keep that deal breaker secret? that's not smart, it's selfish. i couldn't connect to the story and find myself skipping pages just to get to the end. i've read a lot of books with plots similar to this but i must say, i really dislike this the most.

I'm a total sucker for Jessie Evans' Lonesome Point series. Whenever I need an engaging, quick, romantic read, she's my woman! She's a great writer, her stories are not always as straightforward as you'd expect, and dog gone it, who doesn't love a guy who wears a cowboy hat to special occasions??? Black Stetsons rule!

Oh, and this is a story I was waiting for, although it was a tad bit more predictable than her previous two. Still unique, though!

I was looking forward to reading Pike's story. After all, he is Mia's brother and coming home for her wedding. It should be a fun story. Well, the wedding was nice. The events leading up to the affair were different. Pike's romance . . . It was a reminder of why I don't care for second chance romance. The guilt trips. The angst. The excess baggage. Not really my thing. For what it is, it is an okay story. Just not my cuppa.

Pike and Tulsi’s second chance romance is sexy, heartwarming and filled with regrets, healing, and life lessons for both characters. Because all of the characters from the first two books are involved in a wedding celebration there are a lot of hearts that need healing, especially Tulsi’s 6 year old daughter Clementine. I listened to the audiobook version and I enjoyed the narration performance of David Ladoux.

This was okay, but I have to say I wanted to bitch slap Tulsi for most of it! I have always hated storylines where the woman lies and keeps a child's paternity from the child and the child's father. Other than abusive situations and the child being in danger, there is no excuse for that. None. It is harmful and hurtful to both the child and the father and just wrong and makes me angry.

Fantastic. I fell in love with the Lonesome Point cowboys in Leather and Lace, and they keep getting better and better. Great writing, and an emotional journey that stays with you long after you've finished. Just what you expect from Jessie Evans.
