Wow - what an awesome novella! I'm usually not into the shorter reads and find them to be kind of repetitive or not necessary when it comes to series, but Maegan proved me wrong because this was exactly what I needed in this series! Not only did we get to see more of Zane and Lee prior to their relationship forming, but we got to really see WHY it took that long for the relationship to develop into what it is now and for me, that was so special. It makes me love them even more. This story just h ...more

Loved it

This is another amazing book in the broken series. This book introduces you to all of the characters that you've met in the other books. Definitely recommended.
Amie Morgado- We Stole Your Book Boyfriend
So I honestly love reading novellas , prequels anything that gives us more insight to the characters we have grown to love !! This is a perfect look at who Lili and Zane where and how they became what they are !! Their complicated relationships with others and even glimpses of those we may HATE !! Not to mention the added treat of Tish and Lili meeting !! I fell hard for Tish and I love any and all glimpses we get of him and Lili's friendship in PB & UB so this was just the icing on the cake ...more

Why did it take me so long to get back to these characters? I mean seriously... Zane and Lili stole my heart in Perfectly Broken and they dragged me further into their world in Unforgivably Broken. I don't know what I was thinking waiting so long to read this. I will admit it took me a little while to get used to reading about them not being a couple, but when I got past that, I absolutely LOVED this book. It is everything I've come to love about these two. The reason they are some of my favorit ...more

Broken Holidays, #2.5 is a novella that tells the story of when Zane first moves in with his older brother and Lili right after his divorce. This sheds light on the period of time that Zane was pretty much sleeping with any willing female he came in contact with. We also see how Lili and Zane’s friendship begins and how they take care of each other during this time period of little over a year. This novella explains Lili and Tony’s relationship which is m

I wasn't completely disappointed with this book. It was nice little additional tidbits and peak in the life of the characters of the Broken series books. There was not much of a storyline to this book. It covered Christmas and New Years of the two years prior to Lili and Zane becoming a couple. This books information could have very easily been blended in with the first book, widening the story and the life details of the characters.

This book covers Christmas and New Years of the two years after

I received an ARC from Author Groupies in exchange for an honest review.

Maegan was very clever pulling this card from her hat !
In Perfectly Broken Lili tells us that she avoided Zane at all costs when he first arrived so it was nice to see more of  that time , the who, what, where and why.
I also got a better and deeper understanding of the characters I've come to love .

Lets not forget Tish , in Broken Holidays we get to see a little more of him as well which was much appreciated :)

I keep falling more and more for these characters

This is most certainly one of my favorite series. I love these characters hard! After reading Unforgivably Broken I wrote my review and my Goodreads link posted to Facebook. Meagan happened to see it and gave me the best news ever. She was putting out a holiday novella. Skeeeeee!!!!! I didn't have long to wait to read more Zane and Lily. I'm sorry I could t get to it sooner. I absolutely loved getting a glimpse of their past and how Zane and Lily

Review for Broken Holidays (Broken 2.5) by Maegan Abel

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 out of 5 stars

I wasn’t really sure what to expect out of this novella. Sometimes it seems as though authors throw these novellas out just to sell more books and they don’t really add to the series.

Well this novella was great. It gave us more insight into Lili and Zane when they first got to know each other.

Zane is just sex on a stick and it was fun to see the sexy, steamy side of him.

I received and arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This novella is listed as 2.5 in the Broken series but it is more of a prequel. It takes you into the lives of Lily and Zane and where they are coming from. From the beginning of their friendship. You learn how Tish and Lily met. How their group of friends came to be. It shows how Zane struggled with his ex Lizzie and her relationship with Adam. His struggle to be a good father to Connor. Some seriously hot sex scenes. Well two to

I have never really been a fan of novellas because they usually seemed like a tease to me but in this case it was more along the lines of finally that explains the answer to that question regarding so and so like how Lili and Tish met and even the level of Lili and Zane's friendship prior to them getting together. Holidays of years past up until now are in this book, so past and present characters including the dreaded Lizzie are in this book but it is very interesting to see everyone's interact ...more

I usually stay away from novellas because they offer so little in the actual story, often not even getting into character development. Broken Holidays is a novella which I thoroughly enjoyed because it added a new dimension to the character I have already met in Perfectly Broken and Unforgivably Broken.
Lilli and Zane are such complex characters, never acting in the way I expect or even want them to. But this book helped me to understand their development even more. I am truly enjoying this serie

I was given this book for an honest review for Through the Booking Glass. What a great addition to the series. I loved it from beginning to end.

We get a deeper insight as to why Zane & Lee are the way they are. It goes in depth into their pasts & present. My heart broke to know what they both went through! We also now have a better understanding as to why both used the opposite sex for so long & how they got to the point they are now!

I was wanting their relationship to develop fast

This was a great novella. Although it's named 2.5 it's more of a prequel but a great wee read while waiting for book three.

After reading this little gem I love the characters even more. We get to read more of their backgrounds which I loved. Some great hot sexy scenes too:)

Sometimes I'm not too keen on novellas but I really loved this one. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

AWESOME Novella!! This quick read honestly explain more of Lili & Zane's story and it was done so perfectly. Can't wait to have books 3 to see how the series ends. It will, however, be a bittersweet ending being that it's the last book in the series.

This series is a must-read!!!

Must read if you love the Boken Series! Even if you just liked it, still read this! Lol. Great look into their lives before the drama begins and really gives us great background of their history. Plus some really HOT scenes!!

Great read while waiting for book three. My only complaint- I wasn't too sure of the time frame. Took me awhile to figure out this is really a prequel. Not sure if it was stated in the blurb. Haha

This was a fun read! This novella gives you insight on who Zane and Lili were before Perfectly Broken. This short story helped me to understand both of them on a deeper level. If you loved books 1 and 2 then I highly recommend Broken Holidays!

I didn't expect to enjoy this little nugget as much as I did, but wow did we learn so much about Lili and Zane that just has me aching for Silently Broken. And Tish - I have a special place in my heart for that man now.

Well, now I have more of the backstory on Lili, Zane and Tish, and I have to say, the bonus chapters were awesome, as was the rest of this short story!
