Feelings are a luxury I can’t afford. Hidden behind a shield of quiet placidity, I keep my secret safe from those who’d use it against me. Until him—the tatted up, self-centered Scar assassin hired to protect me.

He takes pleasure in tormenting me, chipping away at my defenses as if I’m a toy to be played with. I hate that he con

...we were all a product of our past; it was just how we lived with what we experienced that shaped us into who we became.

Having read Nashoda's entire back list, it's safe to say that she has this incredible ability to completely suck you into her stories in just one short chapter. And then she'll keep you glued to the pages, at the edge of your seat, with a quick paced plot that's as sexy as it is entertaining. When I found out that she'll be releasing a new PNR book, I jumpe

I can't even begin to try to give you a proper blurb because, well, everything is kinda bat shit crazy but I'll give it a try.

First off I really have to say, this has got to be one of my favorite covers by far, there is just something that called to me from the very first time I saw it; leaving me completely captivated. I'm even more excited to say that it isn't just a beautiful cover, but the story was equally captivating from the beginning to the very end.

I’m a romance fan and I love a good paranormal but for some reason gifting a dictionary at the beginning instead of explaining stuff throughout the story just didn’t work for me.

I was left utterly confused and frustrated by the plot and delivery. You know it’s bad when you have to ask friend to simplify story so you can try again because you’re just not getting it and/or connecting.

Overall, this is probably a case of it’s not you it’s me because I do like this author’s work and I love a gr

Take (Scars of the Wraiths) is a spectacular blend of romance, action, and paranormal pleasure! Nashoda Rose offers two amazing main characters with depth, heart, and double dose of power!

Because pretty much from page 1, I was like

I never really felt the connection between Max and Jasper.

This book was PNR perfection to me, I enjoyed every single minute of this story in a way I didn't think it was possible. Jasper owned my heart the minute he opened his mouth and I want to be his Angel forever....

Max and Jasper live in a dangerous world; one where they must always be ready to fight to protect themselves. Both have lived a life of pain and loss and ever since they met the bond is too strong to ignore. Max has a p

It sure didn't disappoint. I wasn't sure what to expect but from the beginning I was hooked. The fact that is written on both POV makes this story so much interesting. Jasper had a sad past that made him a cold blooded hitman.

When I saw that Nashoda Rose was coming out with a new release in the PNR genre, my curiosity was immediately stirred. Having read a book by her in the recent past, I knew that this author has a writing style that I can really get on board with. This was my second read by Nashoda Rose and I gotta say, I really like her writing. I’m so-so on PNR, it depends on my mood, the story and the writer. Well, the stars were aligned because I loved this!

First off, this story had what I love the most, a super hot, sexy, cocky, arrogant Alpha. My panties were soaked over Jasper Kyelin – an assassin Scar – “…threatening and virile. A predator.”

PNR is very rare and precious read for me, So when I heard about "the Scars" I had to read it plus, I like this author's writing.

BUT it was just...

I’ll keep it short, things which didn’t work for me:
#2 Too much inner monologues.
#3 Didn't feel the connection between the MC’s.
#4 Not emphasized on paranormal elements (for all I care it was about the hired assassin protecting the innocent girl, who's been chased by a psychopath).
#5 Ending was a huge that's it???!!!

This is one of the book whereby the action and fast pacing of the plot drew me into the story. I just need to know what happen next!

The hero, Jasper is not everyone cuppa. He is an immortal hitman with no moral. He came off really offensive and class A jackass, is not even the lovable kind. Even his POV don't endear his personality to me. If he mentioned one more time how he wanted to sink his cock into the heroine thigh, I will sink a knife into his gut. I'll be honest. This book has a steep learning curve. The first chapter or two read like there was a book that came before this one. I felt like I missed out on the world building part of the novel. I kept having to refer to the glossary the author provided at the beginning. Once it got going, however, I really got caught up in the story.
