What's really worth fighting for, when one second is all you have left?

Norman Smithson is at the end of the line. His wife left him, women don't look at him, he was made redundant, and at forty, he could be just that little bit slimmer. He would be a has-been if he'd ever been a 'was' in the first place. He's not the Alpha male of the 21st century – or of any century. He w

Broken Lights is a beautifully realistic and raw story about two individuals who have had very different lives, but are brought together in such an unexpected, and indeed, life changing moment.

I adored Norman from the first sentence. He is your average guy, and that is not a bad thing. I know we are all attracted to the alpha male; they are exciting, but - and Dianna Hardy has touched upon this subject in some of her guest posts for this book - not necessarily, well, in real life they don't alw

This is a fantastic, dark and gritty contemporary romance, which happens to be a short novel or novella. I absolutely loved it.

Norman Smithson is a fantastic character, although he doesn't see himself in that way. He sees himself as a nobody. However, I didn't see him in that light at all. He has something special in his character which I found charming and appealing. He is steady and dependable, and is genuinely a nice man, who has had a really bad run of luck - he's been made redundant and fin

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Norman Smithson had a great life, a wife whom he loved very much and two very beautiful daughters that was his whole life. Norman also had a great job where he was making a comfortable living. It kept his family dressed, food on the table and a nice house. But then one day poor Norman had the worst day ever. He lost his job. The company where he worked didn't someone like him anymore with all of the new technology. Poor Nor

I received this book to give an honest review.

I have to say this was a totally different book than what I was expecting from this author. I have read her other works being as The Witching Pen series and The Eye of The Storm series those were paranormal so this was a different story. It was really really good. But beware there is sex scenes within here so this is a for sure 18 on up book.

We start off the story with Norman he is just your normal middle age working man. He has a wife and children

Disclosure: This ebook was provided by the author in exchange for an HONEST and not necessarily positive review.

'Broken Lights' is an unconventional romance, which has a beautiful rawness and realism to it. Wonderfully written and developed, Dianna Hardy's 40k novella follows the characters Norman and Rosa and their chance meeting, a meeting which changes their lives.

What I loved especially about this read was not only its uniqueness in the genre creating a fresh and bold read, but

Broken Lights is such a moving story! A story of how everything can change in a split second. A story of what it is all really about! I was pulled in within the first few pages and could not put it down!

The main characters Norman and Rosa experience such strong emotions and the way Dianna writes has the reader feeling those emotions right along side them.

I couldn't help but feel heartache for both Norman and Rosa. For Norman for being so down on his luck and for Rosa for having lived such a ha

Wow. I wish I could form words properly to write a review worthy of this book. Dianna isn't kidding when she describes all of her writing different every time.

I will admit, after seeing the cover I thought the story would be your typical love story that makes me roll my eyes and make disgusted noises that my unromantic self seems to do with other love themed books. That isn't the case at all. I was sucked in from the beginning.

Dianna did a fantastic job bringing alive two tortured souls who find

Perfection, as always

Dianna Hardy has a gift with writing. I am so thankful that she shares that gift with her readers. I haven't come across a bad book yet. Her characters are three dimensional and compelling. Her plots are always well thought out and well written. This little green of a book is no different.
We meet poor Norman. He has the worst luck ever. He loses everything in one day, and I mean everything. For a couple of months he eeks out a meager existence until one fateful night at a b

WOW what a beautiful read, dianna can write anything and I always find her books amazing.

I was given this as an arc in return for an honest review and here it is.

A tale about heartbreak, danger, love and a life changing experience. This maybe a short story but is packed with so much punch, Diana's amazing with her tales I never bore of anything she writes, I cried and laughed out loud with this and thoroughly enjoyed every moment, this book well deserves the 5 stars I have given and would score

A very different read from Dianna Hardy but soooo great! Norman and Rosa are so very very different but due to horrible circumstances are thrown together and find themselves to be true soulmates.
Very hot, spicy, traumatic, suspenseful, what more could you want in a great read?

Loved it ~ highly recommend it!!!

I didnt find this story to be very "dynamic" which may be the word that appears the most. The hero is just a lot of sad sackery. Though he mans up a little frankly he just wasn't appealing for all of the prior patheticness. If you're looking for a total change from alphas this guy is for you but if you want a hero with spine then you'll probably be just as disappointed as me. The heroine also had a pretty sad story but it was actually sad rather than pathetic. Either way no emotions came through ...more

When you lose everything and the world turns against you, what do you have to live for?

Norman had nothing, but fate and an act of heroism leads him to Rosa, a victim of circumstance with a tortured soul. Forced together they must fight to save their lives, but also find themselves.

Dianna Hardy pushes stereotype to deliver a deeply powerful and beautiful story of betrayal and hurt but ultimately love.

Dianna Hardy is an international bestselling author of (cross-genre) fantasy fiction, most notable for her dark paranormal fantasy and the raw, intense Eye of the Storm series. But her heart-warming Once Times Thrice series proves she thrives in the light as much as the dark. Whatever your poison, what she loves most is to bring you stories that are action-packed, fast-paced and not short of heat, ...more
