Die Mantoni-Familie ist zurück! An Onkel Theos großen Geburtstag löst eine Person eine Famiienkrise aus: Olga Ottima.
Meine Meinung:
Carlina und ihr Freund der Commissario Garini sind wieder am ermitteln. Da die Mantonis in Aufruhr wegen Olga sind. Diese ist auf den ersten Blick eine nette ältere Dame. Aber im Hintergrund? Nur so viel: Es ist nicht alles so wie es scheint. Auch ihr Sohn Ugo ist eine ziemlich undurchsichtige Gestalt.
Aber die Mantonis rücken zusammen und planen schon im Voraus einen Mord.
Und wer die vorherigen Büchern kennt, der weiß das bei der Familie das Chaos nicht lange auf sich warten lässt.
Mein Fazit:
Ich musste vor diesem Band natürlich noch Band 1-3 lesen. Diese sind zum Verständnis auch sehr hilfreich, gerade wenn es um die große Familie der Mantonis geht. Die Charaktere sind liebevoll ausgearbeitet und man merkt den Zusammenhalt der Mitglieder. Aber auch die Unterschiede der einzelnen Personen!
Carlina und ihr Comissaro sind auf Wohnungssuche und diese scheint zum scheitern verurteilt. Denn er möchte gerne etwas Abstand zu den Mantonis haben. Denn das Chaos der Familie ist für ihn manchmal etwas zu viel!
Inzwischen der vierte Roman mit Carlina und mich habe bis jetzt alle Bände wunderbar unterhalten! Nachschub wäre auf jeden Fall willkommen! Der Schreibstil ist frisch, locker, lustig, bildhaft und gut verständlich zu lesen. Es war bei allen Büchern so, dass man förmlich die Geschichten in einem Rutsch durchlesen konnte. Vor allem weil auch die Kriminalfälle undurchsichtig aufgebaut sind und ich ahnte bis zur Auflösung oft nicht wer der Mörder ist.
Super geschrieben! Bitte mehr davon! Es war eine wunderbare Unterhaltung und Auszeit vom Alltag!

Cosy mystery taking place in Florence, Italy. The whole glorious mess revolves around a big noisy family.
Expected Death is light and reasonably humorous reading for readers who enjoy murder mysteries mixed with romance. This is a fourth book of the series but can be read as stand-alone as well (no cliff-hangers).

It was great fun to catch up with Stefano and Carlina in the next instalment of the dramas of Mantoni family life. A very interesting plot, the usual quirky characters and the gorgeous setting all combine to make this one of my favourite series of the moment. Highly recommend.

Wonderful
Another fantastic story by Beate Bowler. I love Carlina and Garini they are wonderful together and me me sigh s o romantic. Carolina's family is so awesome, and funny. This is a great series start with book one you will love it.

Another excellent book by Beate Boeker, the madness of the Mantoni family is unabated and yet again Stefano Garini has the unhappy task of having to solve murder around them! This death has all to do with a childhood grudge that only got worse through time.
