Biography
Amy Cecil is an award-winning Indie author of both historical and contemporary romance. Her penchant for Austen fan fiction, won her the title of Favorite Historical Romance Author (2016-2017) while her MC series has won several awards throughout the Indie community. Recently, she has expanded her repertoire to the thriller and erotic genres.

For as long as she can remember, Amy always had a book (or two) that she was reading for the love of getting lost within its pages. Amy has been heard to have said, “I’ve never given much thought to becoming a writer myself until I realized that if I hadn’t written my own version of Mr. Darcy, I might have run out of material to read.”

And thus, her first novel was born, A Royal Disposition. In the words of Miss Austen herself, “I wish as well as everybody else to be perfectly happy; but, like everybody else, it must be in my own way.” Ms. Cecil writes to do just that.

She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Kevin, and their four dogs. When she isn’t creating her next masterpiece, or traveling the country for book signings, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and of course her fur babies.

“Face life as you find it-defiantly and unafraid.” -Nietzsche

It's Elementary, My Dear
A Daisy Kane Mystery
Amy Cecil
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Daisy Kane is a best selling crime novelist, and has always had dreams of becoming a CSI, finds herself almost defeated when her best friend, Maggie James, the owner of Elementary Edition (a vintage bookstore right next to the Sherlock Holmes Museum) is murdered.

Daisy is overwhelmed by grief, but finds herself ready to figure out who could have murdered Maggie. She teams up with her Maggie's husband Alan, to uncover the truth behind this horrible crime. As they dig deeper and deeper into the case Daisy is sure she is losing her mind because she starts to begin to hear the voice of the greatest sleuth who (in her mind) ever lived.

Daisy and Alan team up with the local police department and must race against the clock to catch the killer. This means Daisy must confront her own fears of self-worth and love while tapping into her own special insights to figure it out before someone else dies.

Will Daisy, Allen, her newfound ally, and the police department be able to piece everything together and deliver the justice that Maggie deserves? Or will someone else lose their life before then?

Blimey!! I feel like I've just solved a case with Daisy Kane and the great Sherlock Holmes himself.
Wow, what a great book. I'm floored because I honestly didn't know what to expect. Amy Cecil is the master of disguises herself, as it seems she can write in any genre she wants. This book had so many twists and turns I honestly couldn't figure things out. For me it was the ultimate guessing game. If you love mysteries then this book is one you will not want to miss.

Great beginning to a new series by one of my favorite authors. Daisy Kane is a amateur sleuth who’s mentor is found brutally murdered. There is not much evidence to suggest the reasons why the beloved bookshop keeper was killed. Daisy along with Allan her left behind husband along with the ghost of Sherlock Holmes himself sift through the wreckage to see who could have possibly done it. Will they be able to solve it before someone else is also killed or will the killer continue to remain at large. Well written plot and characters you feel like are friends.
I was given the ARC for an impartial review.

What a fantastic cozy mystery to get lost in! Daisy is adamant on solving the death of her close friend Maggie, the bookstore owner. Daisy is such a fun character to follow as she’s always up to something and if things don’t go her way, she still figures it out. My toes are permanently curled from being on the edge of my seat cheering Daisy on and don’t forget the tissues because my emotional self was on full blast. ( I used an entire box) Amy Cecil stole my heart years ago with her MC romance series ~ Knights Of Silence MC and with every book since. I love how easily I fall into whatever world she writes for us. A must read for all! Happy reading!

I am sooo excited for this series! While I have never really read Sherlock Holmes, this is a fun book. I love how the two worlds come together and I also really appreciate that Amy added the original stories at the end. I'm looking forward to book 2!
