St Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) founded an evangelical movement committed to brotherhood and poverty, and pledged to preaching peace. The legacy of Franciscan spirituality was inherited by St Bonaventure (1217-1274). This title is one of a series describing significant Christian thinkers.
This was a nice quick theology read. Bonaventure has a very nice approach, I thought it was very modern-accessible. I also learned that Francis is considered by some as the Father of the Renaissance. Didn't know that.
