Really interesting and informative, includes lots of resources for further reading. Not as introductory as I thought, though. A little knowledge about Irish dancing before reading may be useful to enjoy the book more, but I enjoyed learning more about this discipline that brings me so much joy, nonetheless.

Little confusing but very interesting history of Irish Dance by the most respected author on the subject. Debunks the myths and portrays all of the different local dances, their history and difference with today’s dance. It is amazing that Irish dance exists today at all.
