The fourteenth volume of “Black Cat” called “Black Cat: Alliance” really turns things around for all the characters in Kentaro Yabuki’s “Black Cat” series as Train, Sven and Eve start to get really serious about taking down Creed in this shocking volume!

After Train finally explains to Sven and Eve about his history with Saya and about Creed’s betrayal in killing Saya, Train and Eve ended up going to a hideout called the Sweepers Café, where all the other Sweepers gathered at in order to gain inf

4 1/2 Really. I took a break for the manga game to write a bit and focus on other things(my sister wasn't happy about finishing the book alone). I just got back to reading it and I have to say, I missed the characters. Train is so awesome and Eve is getting pretty good with her nano-self. I only had one problem with this book: It was a little too graphic. Well, it was unexpectedly graphic. I'll just tell you what happened; It was a sudden flash, blood was sprayed onto the sweepers partner. His h ...more

The Sweeper alliance has formed to try and take down Creed, but their plans are not exactly turning out how they envisioned them. Shiki is just not a very good welcoming committee.

But Lin!!! I love this guy just a little too much. A master of disguise can never be outdone. I just want to know when he is going to reveal himself again. He is a fantastic number.

Another good volume.
Train left underground organization Chronos to live his life on his own terms - two years later, he's working with his partner Sven as a sweeper. The action scenes are well-choreographed, the art is good, and the plot is easy to follow and (mostly) believable. Though Train and Eve haven't been the closest, I like that they're spending more time together while Sven trains. It's good character development! I also enjoyed the cover -- I love the color scheme.
